Beautiful, futuristic facility almost to the point it looks institutionalized. Not very home-like for the residents. Management are not very effective, facility is poorly run, If you are having an issue whether it be with another person or with the job itself, they absolutely do NOTHING to fix it! You have doctors and student doctors who comes in and will not say anything to you unless they have a question about a certain resident, not a simple "hello" or "good day" or they just wont say nothing at all and will simply walk past you as if you weren't there! Feel sorry for the staffing! Constantly changing rules ALL THE TIME! and sum of the staff have their own little "clicks" especially with the higher ups, who a lot of times let sum people who shouldn't be working there slide on things! Other than that, beautiful place and lovely residents which I enjoyed the most.

There’s no actual break room for nurses or aides but there’s an indoor parking spot for the owners fancy sports car. Management does not care about their employees or their residents. The staff is amazing, from RN supervisors to kitchen staff & environmental services. They all care deeply for the residents and we’re extra caring and compassionate through the pandemic. But management runs all of them away with their bad attitudes and poor treatment. They provide very little training. Their tuition reimbursement is an absolute joke, they make it so that no one can actually get reimbursed and they’re so unclear on how to get it that it makes you dizzy. When the staff questioned the DON about pandemic/hazard pay they were advised to “go get a job a Arby’s if you want hazard pay.”  It was a very hard place to work if you’re a caring, compassionate person. 

Staff have to work as 3-5 different professions yet only get paid as one person - as a nurse you also are expected to be a CNA, DIETARY, WAITRESS, HOUSEKEEPING and floor monitor.

Inefficiency in the layout and amount of walking to and from designated areas for medicine. Lpn' s, considered unworthy of being allowed to sit down to chart on laptops. expected to stand for 12 hours except for short personal breaks.

Clicky work environment. Constantly being moved all over on different units, only certain nurses and aides get to stay on one unit. No continuity of care.

Meds in rooms - horrible idea --- prison style keys weigh you down.
No employee break rooms.
No nurses station (only for RN).

Stress and daily  short staffing

Administration has no business knowledge of managing or hiring employees 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Administrator likes to delegate and has no general management skills but nursing home knowledge. Similar throughout administration. Numerous violations of eeoc laws

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and amusing with administration thought process and comments at mandatory employee meetings.

Lecom DOES NOT CARE about their employees  or their heath. I have been told several  times  to personally  keep my mouth shut n not say anything  about coming into contact  with a person that tested positive  for covid 19. Dietary is never held accountable  for their mistakes  and have witnessed  several  employees  smoking weed on the premises. Very sad that the company barley pays the cooks anything.  If you are offered a certain  wage amount  make sure its in writing  because you will never see that amout. Anything  that  is promised get it in writing.  They make lots of promises  and changes but never happens.

This is not a place to work if you have integrity because making sure 18 patients are taken care of by yourself for 12 hrs is challenging, when I was there it was very short staff and they placed the newbies on the hardest floors even with little training while the previous experienced workers campaign to stay on the lighter floors so they can take multiple breaks and naps unaccounted for , I’ve strained my back from helping patients because the nurses don’t believe it’s their job to help you, a select few are awesome nurses but the environment as a whole is very unfair and no one cares unless it’s them getting the shorter end of the stick

The 2 overall stars I gave are for a handful of dedicated and compassionate direct care  team members still there fighting and swimming against the current of toxic administration and “management” for the lives, care, and dignity of the patients and residents. 
Administration believes that their mid-tier employee benefits give them the right to exploit the compassionate nature of nursing and support staff by telling them they’re being greedy for expecting fair increased pay and enough staff to actually provide the care being charted. 
In a broken system, this company is shattered. It’s truly a shame.

Dealing with administration or ADONs that don't have a clue or any respect for you. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor, 18 residents per one aide. You'll be lucky to have a nurse that lifts a finger. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
All in all, I've met and have worked with some really good people. But 93% of them ended up leaving lecom.

I loved my job and every resident I cared for. But the Management is enough to scare anyone away. After seeing how the Administrator treated me, and fellow staff, it's a miracle the place hasn't shut down for how it's run (or isn't run). Staff was not taken care of, or appreciated. We ran short staff almost daily with no help from Management. We were over worked, constantly yelled at, and lied to daily. After 22 years of this profession, this company has made me look for something else, which is sad because it's the Residents I loved that kept me there. 

Overall a great place to work as it stands. The benefits are wonderful and the pay is fair. Essentially unlimited healthcare coverage. The facilities are excellent and executive management is extremely competent and well established. That being said, there is a lot going on with different projects all the time and a lot can get lost in communication causing turmoil and unnecessary stress. That is a fact of any rapidly growing company though.
