A typical day at Leer Group starts with a collaborative team meeting where we outline our priorities and share updates. Management at Leer Group is generally supportive and approachable. They encourage feedback and are open to suggestions, which creates a sense of trust and respect within the team. I appreciate their efforts to recognize hard work and celebrate achievements, fostering a positive work environment.

The workplace culture is quite collaborative and inclusive. There’s a strong sense of camaraderie among employees, which makes it easy to build relationships. Team-building activities and social gatherings further enhance this sense of community.

The hardest part of the job can be the fast-paced nature of the work. There are times when deadlines are tight, and the pressure can be intense. However, this challenge also drives us to perform at our best and find innovative solutions to meet our objectives.

On the flip side, the most enjoyable part of my day is the collaborative spirit and the sense of accomplishment that comes from completing projects as a team. The opportunity to work on diverse tasks and see the impact of our efforts is incredibly rewarding. Overall, my experience at Leer Group has been both enriching and fulfilling.

Overall, I like working at Pace Edwards. My direct management is fair. They tell me what they expect of me, and will even help me get to the point where I am self sufficient. There is a big emphasis on safety here.

Everyone here is polite and friendly.  In a day and age where everyone and everything is divisive, everyone here acts like adults and can maintain a professional relationship. Even if the other party has completely different beliefs. 

We have a fairly steady schedule. The shop floor works Monday through Thursday, 10 hours a day (6 a.m.-4 p.m.). If there is overtime, it will be on Friday, and they typically let you know by Wednesday. The office works Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day.

We have various moral boosting events throughout the year. There is a company picnic once a year. If we go a quarter without any injuries, we get a safety lunch. We have safety Bingo. Everyday we don't have an injury, we get a bingo number. There are 5 levels to Bingo. The first game is for $100. Each game after, the prize goes up by $100, up to $500 on game 5. After someone wins, we move onto the next game with a new card. Once someone wins the $500, it resets to game 1. The game will also reset if someone is injured. We also have a Christmas/Holiday party in December. We have the employee of the month events.

I was there at both plants in Milton PA and it was pretty bad experience from my manager to lack of a professional human resources department of which the lady used to be the plant supervisors secretary and has no knack for professionalism nor proper hr etiquette! The guys I worked with where ok, the 9 to 10 hour days in summer kinda sucked. I was told I was going to do paint prep and was put as a roller and door skin maker it's a constant 90 up to 105° in there all day everyday ! The pay is ok for the area as are the benefits .My manager was the maintenance supervisor who also does production he's not a bad guy I'm sure but I was injured by another employee dropping a cap on my person and told him what had happened he didn't do nothing about it no incident report or anything so I went to the doctor to get a professional assessment and was laid off even though the manager admitted to the hr that he was aware of the situation and did nothing about it !!!

My day consisted with opening and closing this World Book Ency. office for differnt counties in NY.  I answered the phone, took messages, directed messages to managers, provided customer service, maintained appointment calendars for sales force, managed weekly business reports and compiled year-end reports, managed sales inquiries, faxed World Book orders to Home Office in Chicago, and assisted with general office operations.  I learned how to run this office on a daily basis and dealing with schools, libraries and personal clients.  Love being around my co-workers.  They were the best and still friends today with my boss and some of the co-workers.  My boss was the best boss anyone could ever have.  She was always caring about her employees and those she spoke with on the phone.  The most enjoyable part of this job was being there every work day and help knowing children were gaining eductional material to better themselves.  There was nothing hard about this job.

We are fortunate to have a lot of long term employees who are very loyal and hard working. I consider them my extended family. During the recession, I saw the walls come down (the competitiveness between departments) and the management team unite as one. We learned that in order to be successful, we had to step up and help each other out, even if it takes you out of your comfort zone or work in an area you've never worked before. This opens your eyes and allows you to view the business from a totally different perspective. With time and experience, you become more well rounded and your team respects you more. Do I like working here? What do you think?. I've been here for almost 20 years, I rarely miss work, and I enjoy what I do. It's very satisfying to know I continue to make a difference in people's lives.

not much good to say about the company...all they care about is getting the product out the door and money in their pockets. We are constantly reminded that we are replaceable, and are hardly ever recognized for our hard work.  Management lacks the practicality and common sense to efficiently run the operation.  They have unrealistic expectations when it comes to productivity, especially when several positions have been vacated, only to expect current employees to pick up the extra work on top of their own, instead of hiring replacements.  There is also no training process for new employees.  They are shown what to do for a day or two, then thrown into the job and expected to perform at the same level as an experienced employee. They don't even feel the need to give any notice when overtime is required, expecting us to cancel appointments and drop plans at a moment's notice to stay late or work on a Saturday.  Definitely not a job I would recommend to anyone.

Work days are 8hrs-12hrs Monday- Friday and some Saturdays.  I have learned a lot about working with fiberglass and prepping for paint.  Also have learned quality inspections before and after paint as well as incoming parts from vendors.  Have also learned a lot of leadership skills, communication skills, and working with other as well as working alone.  Management is good for the most part but some not very helpful than others.  Co-workers are great and get the job done and care for quality product where others just want to get their job done and go home for the day.  Hardest part of the job is to get people to do their job right the first time as where others will listen to you and improve their prose's.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the get the quality product out of the door and see our product on the pick-up trucks on the road.

The willingness to be to work on time. Being ready to work. Getting done what needs done. Trying your best to get it right the first time, and being safe at the same time. And helping out in other areas when asked. Also help watch for others too. And make sure that all required work is done, and area is clean before leaving at the end of the work day. Managements job is to ensure that required work gets completed, and all employees stay safe while completing the task at hand. I feel that the job is only as hard as you make it, although some things might be hard, but you should at least make an effort to try, and do it. The best part of the job is that not only does your company benefit, but so do you as an employee. And also teamwork goes a long way too. Teamwork is a key essential as well. You help take care of the company, the company helps take care of you, and ensure your safety while on the job.

This company is by far the worst company I have ever worked for! They promise you raises and benefits and overtime and you dont even get any of that let alone a 40 hour week!! Management is horrible! New employees don't even get trained you just get thrown into it and expected to perform at the level the experienced employees work at! They don't like to help you they just like to complain! The crew I worked with just played with each other all day and then complain when the work doesn't get done! The workplace is very dirty, the bathrooms are absolutely horrible worse than anything I've ever seen! The break room looks terrible! I wish I could give these pathetic wastes of space a half of a star because that's all they deserve! I wouldn't recommend anyone work here... YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!  PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE!!!!

very high turnover rate so your position matters in that respect however you are treated like a workhorse and are expected to work long past your hours a day PLUS overtime on weekends. It's VERY hot there, winter is better. Dirty, dusty, overall I would wear a mask just because I wouldn't want to breathe in fiberglass would you? Chemical smells were nauseating, poor ventilation. Aluminum side was the only side I could tolerate it was cleaner and didn't have odors. I liked working with the people on the aluminum side more, it felt like a community you got to know everyone pretty well and you could help out in other areas if you desired
