We had a monthly meeting, in that meeting we were told that a lot of managers on the field we're allowing things to slide. These things were as follows: changing names so people get a discount, which causes the insurance card to be in a person that doesn't exist name. We over charged far too much for changes to a policy the standard was about $45 to add a vehicle to a person's policy we would charge $160-$200. Our managers told us to put a single person as married just to close a sale and they would make up a spouse. 
  This company was finally being audited for the things they were doing by the companies that they worked with and those companies would make random calls to the clients and ask if they were married, they would say no and then the agent on the field would be in trouble, but when you're first there in office managment promotes these things. 
  On multiple occasions agents screwed up and told the client they had a certain coverage when in fact they didnt, just to close a sale. That client would then get into an accident and not have that coverage, and that mistake could have been fixed had management better encouraged it's agents to fit the needs of the client and not just close a sale. In this case an agent would be fired, but during that meeting they began to tell us that as an agent if we made this mistake and the company went to court we too were going to pay for the damages to the clients vehicle. The numbers they were showing us were upwards of $24,000 I only was making $9.75 at the time and if I were put in a situation like that I could never repay part of that while maintaining my other bills. 
  This company is shady, they prey on the people of lower income and it's horrible. They do not have the professional attributes or organizational skills to continue. I really thought this would have been a great place to work, but it wasn't. This is not a good company for anything other than ripping people off, it's horrible to believe that they hire people telling them one certain way of doing things but once an agent is on the field their manager will train them in the ways of getting away with shadiness in order to make a sale. They cut corners because they genuinely can not compete in a ever diverse and growing market. I felt cheated in my experience there I want to do insurance again but the small amount of time made me feel jaded. I would never recommend something as simple as a quote from this company, let alone ever working for them.

attended one of their monthly meetings and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. During the meeting, someone imitated a Caribbean accent in a way that felt inappropriate and insensitive—especially as it was clear I am of Caribbean background. I later learned this person was a store manager, which made the situation even more concerning. When another attendee respectfully asked for a lower volume, the request was brushed off. That kind of behavior from someone in a leadership role felt unprofessional and unsettling.

As it was my first meeting, the experience left a lasting, negative impression. It came across as unwelcoming and set a tone that didn’t reflect inclusivity or respect.

More broadly, the work environment lacked professionalism. Gossip was common, and shared spaces like the bathrooms were often left in poor condition & others were left to clean them.

On a positive note, the company does cover the cost of your limited lines license, Pearson VUE testing, & fingerprints, which is a helpful benefit. The initial corporate training was also well-organized and made a strong first impression.

After 1.5 week of training you are lucky if you get a good manager who teaches you everything you need to know after training. If you miss a day in the week you will have to work your day off it's mandatory just like working 1 sunday out of the month. Upper management is horrible they do not know how to communicate and expect you to do everything little thing even if you weren't trained properly. There is one TM who likes to speak to you disrespectful and belittle you every chance she gets and never wants to take accountability herself when she is in the wrong. They are always shortstaffed and expect you to cover when and wherever they need you. There is no opportunity for career advancement at all just like any raises. It doesn't matter how long you have been there or how good of an agent you are do not expect any acknowledgement or appreciation of the good job you do. They do any and everything to make it hard for you to get your commission. 

I work for La Famila about 7 months. When I started working there I was really excited ( or desperate for a job, now I see it that way) it took me about a month to see the real face of the company. Get these job it’s really easy to get why? Because they are so desperate to hired people because they usually last about 3-5 week( yes it’s that bad).what about commission? So commission it’s base on how much money you can stole from your  coustomers , so let’s said that it a week you a get areud 3,000 of fees those fees are only  validated if you  get your goal so if you get left for one  policy far from your goal they will not get your money well only 2% if your lucky. I hope these can be  don’t what to hate your life don’t get to these company just because it’s easy to get these job.

While working at LFI I have loved every second of it. This job title gives so much promise! You learn something new everyday that can be helpful in every day adult life. It is never the same thing day by day which means you’re never bored! The managers are great as well; very caring and helpful people. They work with you to provide you with schedules that benefit both the company and you as the employer, and are there to help you with any problems that arise during your employment. Without doubt, I would recommend this job to any person out there looking for a steady, reliable and interesting job position! 

Most of these reviews are far too generous. first of all, the micromanaging makes it almost impossible to work. the managers will be on top of you like a hawk and watch the store cameras all day instead of helping offices reach goals. secondly, they’ll write you up for any and everything. all regional managers have favorites and will make it known. they’ll expect you to carry the whole office based on seniority and pick up others slack. Most of their offices are rat infested and management does not take care of it. most of the people I know that worked at la familia needed therapy after working here. “What are you working on” plays in our head every 5 minutes. just STAY AWAY FROM THERE !

goals here are completely unreal! one must sell 10 policies a week and charge incredibly high fees. We get written up if we don't it the 10 but get scolded if we don't charge high fees. Our job literally is scamming people out of their money! The hours are long and wont leave you with time to do anything. There is little to no notice of schedule/office changes! I once showed up to work at 10 after checking my schedule, I get there and turns out somebody changed it to noon, and never notified me! Working here is okay if you're comfortable with scamming people out of their money and dealing with the rude and stuck up girls in the majority of the offices.

Don't ever work here!! They micromanage you and will hound you when it comes to quotes. The regional managers are very passive aggressive and really only care about you if you meet your goals even if you are trying your best. They throw contests that are nearly impossible to win instead of giving bonuses. They do csr meetings VERY regularly and super early if we aren't meeting our goals (which was weekly in my region) at a far location and if you don't go they threaten to write you up but these meetings are very repetitive, and not informative at all. They blame us and say we're not doing xyz when we are. I've never felt so unappreciated at a job.

You open and close everyday, you have a sales goal, 30 minute lunch for those long hours and sometimes you worked alone so if someone came in, you had to stop your lunch. No breaks. You have to use your own car to go market to nearby locations and you werent compensated for your gas. No benefits. Good job for a high school teenager I guess. The Lancaster office has homeless people coming in the office and it creates an unsafe work place. You are frequently relocated to other offices with little to no notice.

This has to be the worst company I have ever worked for. Resigned a month in due to an unprofessional interaction I had with a supervisor. If yelling at and stressing the CSR’s is the way management thinks it’s going to have them learn and grow, then they obviously know nothing about professional development. I was not going to write this review because I was hoping maybe the issue would be resolved by HR but they never even bothered to call me back after I had reported it to the HR person. Obviously they don’t care how management treats their CSR’s. Stay away, the pay is no good either.
