Lakeshore's mission is one any person can get behind. We serve the underserved and extend a helping hand to those who feel like they have been turned away everywhere else. Knowing that I am helping my community in many different ways makes my workdays feel meaningful. Everyone who works here is more than happy to help their fellow co worker even if it is out of their way or not in the scope of their primary responsibilities. Working for an integrated healthcare clinic provides the opportunity to cross over with every department creating a team focused atmosphere. Since the clinic is constantly growing there are always opportunities to grow and move into positions from every department. I've seen many of my co workers, including myself, move into different positions and have the opportunity to grow with the clinic. At the end of the day no matter what your title says everyone is here for the same mission and knowing that we're all here for the right reasons makes me feel good with what I'm doing. 

Lakeshore Community Health Care is a great organization that truly has care and compassion; not just for all patients, but also all employees. 

There is a positive sense of belonging within the culture, room to have fun and work hard, the ability to learn and grow within the organization, trust and room for employee's do their best work, and a leadership team that listens and is driven to make positive change. Lakeshore is growing, and the company does a great job touching base with everyone, having transparency, and strong communication to help navigate change. 

It's amazing what this company has achieved in the last few years, and it's exciting to be apart of it! If you are looking to join an organization that values employees, truly cares about the culture, has a leadership team that exhibits company values and treats everyone equally, then this is the place for you! 

Leadership team plays favorites, promoting personal connections over qualifications and proven performance. They also condone gossiping and workplace drama, creating a demoralizing environment where hard work goes unrecognized and poor behavior is rewarded. The unrealistic expectations are never matched with proper support or compensation. Departments operate in silos with little to no communication or structure, leading to constant confusion, duplicated efforts, and finger-pointing when things go wrong. 

Talented individuals either burn out quickly or leave and what's left is revolving door of staff just trying to survive the dysfunction. Unless there are significant changes in leadership and culture, I strongly caution anyone consider working here. 

DO NOT WORK HERE.  Training is horrible.  You sit in a classroom setting the entire time while training. You are allowed to shadow about 30 mins to 1 hour max a day only. Training is fast and intense. If you fall behind, you are not given the support you need to succeed in your position. The manager I had was not very friendly and approachable and I was not comfortable asking her for help.  This was the most stressful job that I've ever had. I'm so glad I found another job and left. Look elsewhere if you need a job. Do not apply here because you will regret later. They have a high turn over rate and are always hiring. There are some good employees that have left due to the lack of support from managers. 

No organization is perfect. Lakeshore is growing. It's important to not get hung up on what's wrong but to focus on what's happening and the progress towards the mission. With this growth is an opportunity to define the future and the role you play in it. 

Good work-life balance with better than most places- benefits. The management team really seems to care about their employees and the organization. They treat you like a person, not an employee. And, it really is inspiring to be exposed to the mission and culture that Lakeshore is continuously working towards.

Lakeshore provides pharmacists with a practice environment that allows us too practice as both community and clinical pharmacists every single day.  The weekday schedule with no nights, holidays, or weekends allows us to have a work-life balance that is not common in other practice settings.  Lakeshore is truly on the cutting edge of pharmacy practice with having pharmacists work directly with medical and dental providers.  After working in an integrated setting, I personally would not be able to ever work in a stand-alone pharmacy practice setting.  

If you are looking for a career that is not just a about collecting a paycheck but that is fulfilling in so many different ways Lakeshore Community Health Care is the right place for you.  There are so many people working for LCHC that genuinely care about the health and well being of their patients.  The focus of the clinic is not on production, they have gathered a team of medical dental and behavior health providers to help each person as a whole.  I could not be more proud to say that I work for Lakeshore Community Health Care and am making a difference in my community.

ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT THIS JOB IS NOT HAVING TO BRING IT HOME WITH ME. WHEN IM AT HOME I AM AT HOME. WHEN IM AT WORK I AM AT WORK. ITS A PRETTY LAID BACK JOB. YES THERE ARE A LOT OF DAYS WHERE ITS BUSY AND YOU HAVE TO BUST YOUR CHOPS BUT ITS PRETTY REWARDING WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE ABLE TO HELP PATIENTS THAT NEEDS HELP. ONE THING THAT SUCKS IS THE PUSH BACK THAT YOU RECEIVE SOMETHING FROM COWORKER. ITS SO UNDERSTAFFED, AND ITS UNDERSTANDABLE. LAKESHORE CAN ALWAYS DO MORE. ANOTHER THING THAT KINDA SUCKS IS SLOW PROGRESS. ITS HARD TO GET MANAGEMENT TO MOVE THE PROCESS ALONG. STUCK IN LIMBO A LOT. 

I started here in September 2022 and this is by far the best job I've ever had. I switch between locations and I'm never in the same location twice in a row in a week. I like that a lot! I have never been yelled at or felt down about the job. The only bad thing about it is when you go in the lunch room for lunch, you can hear dental assistants talking bad about other people. It's quite annoying, especially when you want to enjoy your lunch. My boss is one of the best and shes very understanding. I have kids and she understands if I cant make it in oneday. I give this job a 10/10

I had just started here in June 2022. Today, September 2022 I was randomly fired because other employees claimed I was talking about them. No other check ins with me besides one 2 weeks ago. I was pulled out of the clinic floor and fired on the spot without any other opportunities to defend myself. If you like being a new employee that is bullied and treated less than, this is the place for you. Pay is good but they make you use your PTO for any day you call in sick, and scold you for not calling in sick of you come into work sick. Would not recommend this place ever.
