Landmark Transcription

My workday was fairly easy as I worked from my home. I transcribed for the same hospital system in New Jersey for all 7 years that I worked for Landmark. They were very flexible with time and home/work/kids schedules and working around things but like most at-home transcription companies, did not offer much in the way of paid time off. My supervisor was really good and I was upset when the company was bought out in April of 2017.

Sign in, go to work.  I learned that communication is required in this position.  My immediate supervisor was at first very helpful and friendly.  The hardest part of the job was when I did not read e-mail while off shift.  Enjoyable part was just working.  Management and I had a miscommunication regarding e-mail on days off.  No benefits were provided.

I am seeking other employment because they are changing their platform from Escription to MModal.  I am currently working part-time and am now seeking full-time with better pay and hopefully benefits.

Worked from home, which was great.  When I had a question or problem sometimes I was not contacted back and had to contact them again before someone answered; very frustrating.

This company years ago started out better than most but they drastically reduced pay and switched to editing only which was actually more time consuming and much less pay.

Does not apply as Landmark merged with M*Modal and is no longer in business.  It was a good company to work for and management was helpful.  I did get to learn a new medical area - genetics.

This is a great company to work for. I quit working for them because I moved away. They were fair, honest in their dealings with their employees. I highly recommend them.

Good place to work except running out of work stinks.  They are flexible when you want time off.  The pay could be better.  The hardest part of the job is understanding some of the doctors and the best part is working at home.

Great people but workload was always a question mark. Not sure if they were going to remain in business.

Good place to start out. Friendly support staff. The pay is fair but could be better for the skill and time involved. More quality feedback would be helpful especially when starting out.
