A routine schedule is kept in order to have residents ready for their meals before doctor appointments and whatever activities are planned.  Patience with each individual whether it would be their slower body movements or their slower speach abilities.  Keeping on task with management but also being flexible when plans change at the last minute. Communicating with co-workers or even asking questions to make sure nothing is misunderstood.  Making sure there is enough time in between activities and meals to document each residents activity for the day.Visiting residents and talking one on one with them.

Staffing and employee expectations have totally changed this facility from the Premier center in the area, to an average to below average nursing home. Management is invisible. Use agency employees more than hired staff. Shift supervisors have their favorites with assignments and delegate impossible work loads to cover their own responsibilities. It's a shame what this place has become. No wonder they can't hire and keep new people very long. A very suffocating atmosphere. As long as the work gets done, management could care less. Team work is missing due to employee clicks and position titles. Don't waste your time.

I worked at laurelview I liked my job and the people. My supervisor was worthless when it came to talking to him about any issues or problems. There was also favoritism in the department. Certain people got special and better treatment than others…. and got away with doing whatever they wanted 
Too much drama at that place 
I wouldn’t recommend that place to nobody… even HR doesn’t solve any issues when you talk to them  they always take certain peoples sides and always takes the managements side on everything

I feel like part of a team that is always striving towards the same goal.  The team is always working together and trying to assist one another so all the work gets done.  The management always has an open door policy and is always good at listening.  I actually enjoy going to work on a daily basis.

Department head and his assistant were really easy going. He was a fair person to deal with. Tried to accommodate requests for days off pretty well. Enjoyed working there . The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the residents enjoy their meals. The hardest part of the job was the cleanup, washing dishes,pot n pans. 

Management was awful and stuff treated new hires like they were basically gum on the bottom of their shoe. The facility would rather have a staffing agency come in then hire more people. You basically never had a work life balance their. And you'd have 2 aides per hall (unless one called off or didnt show which happened more often then not) then you'd have 30 residents to yourself. You're better off not working here honestly.

Check all department, Health Care, Personal Care, apartments for any update or changed which need to be done for the day. Check all of my staff especially laundry to see if I need to help fold or gather Resident laundry. Check and update my schedule for meetings or changes for the day. Check supplies order as needed. Take a overview of all areas and address what needs to be addressed and completed.

Laurel View Village has become a very unprofessional environment. Harrasment plays a huge role, even management will harass their employees. The staffing for CNAs is definately below average, CNAs will be by themselves on a hall of 21 residents. Management will change the schedule when state is there to make it seem like there's more CNAs. HR always rips you off in your pay.

If you need a job go ahead and take but keep your resume up to date .  Do not try and dedicate yourself to that place, it won’t be appreciated.  There are a lot of good people that work there but the company just abuses their good will. And watch your paychecks.  I’ve never worked somewhere where your check was “accidentally” short so much.

Most of the staff really make you feel welcomed.
Management is a bit lacking.
Not everyday is the same and it being a pretty big facility, there is a lot to learn about all the different sections.
I adored the residents and housekeeping staff.
Pay rate is a bit of a struggle especially when you're on your feet all day.
