What is the best part of working at the company?
Great benefits, family oriented, company helps you grow and pays for your continuing education. Superintendents are good mentors and all are on board with the safety culture. They are structured well very organized and always willing to help you when needed. As a EHS Manager I had a very good experience with the team I worked with. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Like everywhere, schedules are very tight causing stress on team and trade partners. Regardless, Layton Construction is effective and knows how to deal with should situations. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is excellent, site teams like to go above and beyond with different needs. This is true when it comes to safety. I was very impressed with safety depart and how is run.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unless we are behind on schedule, it’s usually a normal day.

 I had the pleasure of working at Layton and can confidently say it was a great experience. The leadership team was supportive, professional, and genuinely invested in the success of both the company and its employees. The work environment promoted collaboration, accountability, and growth, with plenty of opportunities to learn and take on new responsibilities. Communication was clear, expectations were well set, and the team culture was strong—everyone took pride in their work and helped one another succeed. I appreciated the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and delivering on promises to clients. Management valued employee input, and it felt good to know that your ideas and hard work made a difference. I left with a stronger skill set, lasting relationships, and great memories. I’d highly recommend layton to anyone looking for a positive, growth-oriented workplace in the industry.

Always safety and performance. Yet that was simplified and proved not to be sr tress

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The very best it could be! ICS  dividson was tight and worked together . “Two in the box” describes PM’s and Superintendent team. Works! Safety presented in a way it made it easy to talked to the subcontractors. Show them we love and are concerned of their safety 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Playing mediator and organizer of trades. Most trades feel they are the only ones working. No room for the others

As an intern, my main source of training was another intern. This was confusing because of the amount of employees that are in obvious need of training. If you ask for help, you'll have some videos online to train you. No hands on training. For a big company, they struggle to sustain their success. They brag about their compensation and say, "we've had so many people leave because they think the grass is greener, but then they end up coming back to Layton," how about you just make the grass greener for your employees?

What is the best part of working at the company?
They pay weekly, there are some good people there. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being thrown out to a project with little backup, the boss keeps hiring unqualified people. Won’t listen to reason or reality. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, backstabbing, woke, no loyalty to hard working employees, family and church members are prompted without experience. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10-12 hours, stressful, not getting the backup so to be successful you as an individual have to make it work

What is the best part of working at the company?
Straight forward. You either do or you don’t. We don’t want to babysit.  Tools and the will to learn it’ll work miracles for you 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Struggling with my car  and the damned mosquitoes. I really hated mosquitoes and scratching all over my arms at night when I’m trying to just sleep 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s all the same, we argue and yell at each other, but that’s what brings us together at the end.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up with a cup of coffee, plan out the day and follow instructions.

The drama that is Layton! It's the worst. I've never been a part of a company with so many cliques. Kissing up to people seems to be the way of the world at Layton. If you value yourself and your self-confidence, don't work here. They don't pay well. Their PTO is a joke. Even the holidays they offer off don't match almost every other company. The benefits are good and very inexpensive but it isn't enough to keep someone here. The culture is toxic. I cannot say it enough. Stay away. Work anywhere but here.

Good workers they knew way did go things done n quick n easy to work with u on training too always stretch n felx ever morning too n always task watt need to do n bout being safe n pro con n awere of surrounding of safety n pinch n points other ways to be safe n n how to prevent to happen u others other worker like 50 foot bubble if see something not safe tell themm right away n we always want other workers to go home to family's n loved ever dayy so it's to be safe all time in construction...

Morning most enjoyable 4 am concrete trucks on there way get everyone pumped up hot coffee have a smoke with boys. We all get on same page ... And boom we bust are butt till it's broomed go eat lunch . Come back from up for the next morning. Tear down a d repeat.great friends on crew. We all look out for one another 

People don't quit companies , people quit management and poor compensations , this company used to be better , it has become a dog eat dog place where the bottom line is the top and only priority where you beg for a raise and systems stay the same , advancement opportunities are slim unless you hang out with field management for hunting trips ,
