I worked for this company for about a year and a half before I quit. Micromanage had become so severe and we were 1099 employees. You were never offered any more pay. The wages were already pretty low to start with and were less than what people are making at McDonalds. It didn’t matter if you were one of the top agents on the team, they were not willing to pay you any more money or reward you in any way. There was no PTO so basically if you took a vacation or you were out for an appointment or you were sick, you never got paid for it.  The metrics were pretty hard, but the quality control was even harder.  You would be told that a policy was one way and within minutes the policy would change. There was a lot of favoritism that I personally witnessed.  The company was very fun to work with when I burst started, but once the operations manager was promoted to a different position and they had a new person come in everything changed.  It’s such a shame because I really did like the project that I was working on, however, things just got to be too unbearable for me and the pay was too low for what was expected. They ended up hiring new teams all the time because the turnover rate was so high. I found out that one of the teams that came in as flex agents were being paid more than I was!!  Trust me you don’t wanna work for this company unless you enjoy being micromanaged and making no money and having no time off and being expected to have perfect quality and attendance, while basically being talked to like you were a child and being threatened to lose your job every other day of the week. 

No matter what they offer you in your interview just know they will say whatever it takes to recruit and keep you stuck in the same position. 
This is not a good company to work for and they will repeatedly waste your time and promise you career advancement only to tell you they are going in a different direction. There is no paid time off available at this company. Management is extremely unprofessional and uses foul language constantly. The pay is low and will never increase no matter how much money you save the company. They will increase your job responsibilities but the pay will NEVER increase. I worked for this company for two years and continued to have meetings praising my excellent work. They will offer you company t-shirts and small giftcards as compensation for retention. All you will get working here is a pat on the back. Some agents worked here for over 4 years and never saw a dime of increase pay.  I am glad i'm getting out now and not wasting another moment of my time with these people. They smile at your face and take advantage of you. If you are bilingual don't fall for this company. They hire talent and take advantage. They will NOT  increase your pay no matter how much they say so.  You're better off working as a cashier at your local gas station.

My time working for leading edge connections was horrible. My boss was consistently riding my butt even though I was meeting the regular requirements everyday. I understood that they wanted me to do more, but my job was to find clients for legal aid. Most of them did not fit what was required and I did not want to push people who were bad clients. My boss was consistently on me on a daily basis and he would not let up. There were great days where I was was excelling and doing my best. I didn't hear from my management at all those days. Not even a pat on the back. Management was never there to answer questions that I needed answers to because the client was asking me. When I did get a hold of somebody it took a lot time for them to get back to me and I still had these clients on the line waiting for their answer. I would have days where I couldn't find someone who fit the requirements and I kept getting messages hourly by management saying I wasn't hitting the daily requirement and I could lose my job. It was extremely stressful and when I did do my job great I didn't get any type of good reinforcement. It felt like I couldn't win or even be happy with the work I did. 


A typical day at work is micro-managed by supervisors who lack understanding and rely heavily on senior representatives to guide their peers. This results in a chaotic and stressful environment.

The management seems ill-equipped and ineffective, displaying a lack of understanding in running the business and resorting to unprofessional practices such as requesting personal passwords and micro-managing.

Workplace culture: The workplace culture is toxic, characterized by micro-management, harassment, favoritism, and nepotism. It fosters a sense of distrust and discomfort among employees.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with incompetent leadership, being overworked and underpaid, and facing harassment and bullying from supervisors.

Despite the challenges, the most enjoyable aspect of the job is the camaraderie with peers and being remote.

In summary, your experience highlights systemic issues within the company, including poor management, toxic workplace culture, and mistreatment of employees. 

This company is strong in training & learning and development support. The pay depends on the client you work for. Everyone is a 1099 independent contractor which is really awesome because you have the power and ability to create your own level of success. I am not sure where the negative reviews come from other than previous customer service agents who are disgruntled after being let go and take it out on everyone else with a negative review. I have worked here for 2 years and have seen and witnessed so many people moving up in the company very quickly including myself. It has truly helped me and many of my peers as far as career growth. I would say you create your own growth by showing up on time and having a positive attitude. It is a call center so things may change quickly sometimes, but this is normal in a call center environment. There is a lot of support for those who struggle with process changes. Leadership created a plethora of training videos and job aids to help everyone!

I found out that I was hired at $13 an hour for a customer service role on one of their verticals. The vertical I was on requires you to be in zoom all day. So much for working independently. The verticial I was hired for had constant changes and caused so much stress. You are always worried about being fired. They require you to maintain a 90% or higher in your QA but their QA team will target you and give you low scores if they or anyone in management does not like you.  They had three leads but one went back to an agent for some weird reason. Only one of the leads would actually ever work and give coaching. 

I found out that they brought on new agents who work part time but are offer significantly more compensation. They do nothing for tenured employees. You are required to submit a time off request more than 30 days in advance for it to be considered Planned time off. If you don't the client you work for wants you fired all the time. 

Do not work here. There is too much stress for no reward. 

If you enjoy being micromanaged for every second of the day you may enjoy it here. Management implents systems to track every click you make and how much time you spend on every task. 
Policies change every few hours making it very difficult to provide accurate information to customers. Even if you ask leadership for help, they may give you the wrong answer and it still falls back on you for providing the wrong information. 
You don’t get PTO but they want a month notice if you want to take a day off, otherwise it counts against you. 
They have a ridiculous incentive program that makes it seem like you could earn more money, but the metrics to get the extra pay are nearly impossible to achieve. Even if you do manage to reach those metrics, they will find a way to disqualify you from the extra pay. 
Some members of leadership talked to reps like they are children. They threaten peoples jobs in meetings in front of everyone. 

As a team leader with LEC, I’ve had a positive experience working with a supportive and collaborative team. The company places a strong emphasis on employee development, which has helped me grow both personally and professionally in my leadership role.

One of the things I value most is the flexibility of working remotely, which helps balance work responsibilities with personal life. The tools and training provided are effective, and I appreciate the open lines of communication between leadership and staff.

That said, like any organization, there are areas for improvement. Managing team metrics and ensuring consistent performance can be challenging at times, but the company provides resources and support to address these issues. I’d love to see a continued focus on enhancing tools and improving processes.

Overall, LEC is a great place for anyone looking to work in a supportive and dynamic work environment. I’m proud to be part of a company that values growth and teamwork.

LEC has been a game changer for me and my career. I'm 100% work from home with the ability to work from anywhere, even my hammock. My ideas count and aren't stock piled in the "we've always done it this way, but thanks for your idea" file like most companies. My background and experience are used daily in my role as HR Generalist, and if I have an idea to improve a process, I have confidence to present it to my boss to work through ideas and implementation. I have the creative freedom to think outside the box because we are not "traditional" in a business sense. We are on the Leading Edge of so many categories. The clients we work with, the projects I'm a part of span a multitude of directions. Management isn't stereotypical. They are down-to-earth, funny and fun to work with each day. It feels great to finally enjoy "going to work" every day. And for the record, we did virtual happy hours before COVID-19.

I have never worked for a company that is this amazing before. They really care about their employees. Management is always there if you need someone. Even though we all work remotely it still feels like I personally know the people I work with. It is a big family at LEC. They promote within the company and you can move up very fast. It has steady contracts always, so if one ends you will be picked up on a new one right away. They will never leave you to wonder when your next job is going to start. Everyone in upper management is very kind and you will be able to personally get to know the owners as soon as you start. I have never worked with management who will work so hard at making sure you are happy with your job and succeed in the work that you are doing. They all personally work very hard to make sure to answer any questions you might have. I feel like it really is a big family here working at Leading Edge Connections. Seriously could not say anything bad about this company.
