A typical day would include market allocations and creating 'buckets' of sales areas that would meet quotas for the week and month. Begin calling attorneys right away to advise them about a website that would direct potential clientele to their email and personal electronic devices so they would be able to follow up with the clientele right away. While getting through to the attorney a number of obstacles would have to be overcome including getting through the secretary, legal team, paralegals and finally getting the attorney to sit down for a conference call with their business partner, family, and significant other. After setting the initial appointment I would do research on the types of legal matters being posted in the attorney allocation to ensure I was showing the best matters to appeal to their law practice, go through a demo of the website and the user interface, and finally qualify the attorney/practice for the website and my director for final close.
I learned a lot about time management, the best ways to sort out the outbound calls to meet quota needs first and especially ways of handling push-back, rejection, and objections in a collective manner that would still show confidence in the product and my capabilities.
Management was not the best at LegalMatch. The environment was portrayed as a no-pressure sales environment, however there was an immense amount of pressure with everyone sitting at the edge of their chair at the end of every month. I enjoyed working with the managers but do not feel that the VP handled situations, i.e. others being fired, in a professional manner. Instead of pushing up morale when people were fired, the VP would pull us all into a meeting and name the person(s) fired and explain what they did wrong and begin belittling and name calling. This would also qualify as the hardest part of the job. Another thing I would say was hardest was the environment not being safe. While management did what they could to defuse the situation, a member of the sales floor brought numerous guns to work and one onto the sales floor. While the police were called and the individual was terminated, we were told that we could go speak with our managers or the VP if we felt unsure or unsafe about anything and forced to go on as if nothing happened. When individuals did voice their concerns to the managers and VP we were told that this probably wasn't the job for us and that we could leave for the day but there was no guarantee our job would be there tomorrow if we could not handle pressure.

Working at Legal Match as a Key Account Manager was a great experience for me. I had the chance to connect with attorneys from various practice areas, which gave me deeper insight into the legal field. It was eye-opening, and I learned so much along the way! I would highly recommend this role to anyone eager to kickstart a career related to law.

By providing personalized advice, I aimed to support their efforts in connecting with potential clients and increasing their chances of being hired by those in need of legal assistance.

What I truly appreciated about this job was the company’s relaxed and hands-off approach. It allowed me the freedom to manage my workload independently while knowing that support was always readily available whenever I needed it. The management team was both approachable and friendly, fostering a work environment that struck the perfect balance between being productive and laid-back. It was the kind of atmosphere that empowered you to succeed on your terms.

I understand that before I was hired, the management team operated differently. However, from what I experienced, the current management was nothing but supportive, approachable, and down-to-earth. It was obvious that their goal was to ensure the team felt comfortable and successful in their roles.

The office itself had a calm and welcoming atmosphere, filled with activity from various departments. The management helped maintain a light and fun environment by organizing pizza for lunch or festive events during the holidays. Plus, free coffee was available all day!

Overall, my experience at Legal Match was incredibly positive! Like with any job, it had its ups and downs, but once you got the hang of it, the work became second nature. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team, and I’m excited to carry the valuable experiences I gained here into my future endeavors!

After 4 days of virtual training you're off to your first role in the company, setting appointments for experienced sales reps to attempt to close while you observe this getting the skills you need to do it on your own. You must get a certain number of appointments set and attorneys to show 2 of your first 3 weeks calling to "graduate" trying to get the right attorney to fill an area there is a need for an additional attorney to help the clients we have coming to us. You can graduate this appointment setting week in only 1 week if you get over 10 appointments set and 7 of those to show like I did.

Once you are graduated and doing your own "Case Reviews" where you are showing the active client files we have in an area to attorneys you found through their cold lead database you must enroll two attorneys to join the program to graduate out of the assistant role and enjoy a little bit more job stability. This is not hard to do if you keep grinding and put in the necessary work to have as many conversations with attorneys you possibly can. The more conversations the better your chances are of finding the right one. The one who can and wants to help the clients that they're seeing come to us and have a need for more clients themselves. Every time you're in a "case review" one of the managers or trainers will listen in on your call and help line feed you so that you don't go in the wrong direction.

After closing just three more deals (5 deals total) your promoted again and after three more deals after that (8 deals total) you're promoted again.

There is a strong sense of acknowledgement for your successes and a high level of comradery in the office. Your hours are very flexible you are not allowed to go over 40 hours no matter what. Overtime is not allowed.

THE BASE PAY IS GARBAGE!!! IF YOU JOIN THIS COMPANY WILLING TO SETTLE FOR THE BASE PAY WALK OUT THE FRONT DOOR AND DON"T COME BACK! CLOSING DEALS IS NECESSARY FOR FINANCIAL SUCCESS AND SURVIVAL!!!! IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO HEAR NO 150+ TIMES A DAY THEN WALK AWAY!

Working for LegalMatch in Reno, Nevada has been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. From poor management to a toxic work environment, there are several reasons why I would strongly discourage anyone from seeking employment with this company.

First and foremost, the management at LegalMatch in Reno is abysmal. There is a complete lack of communication, support, and guidance from higher-ups. It often feels like they are more interested in micromanaging and maintaining control rather than fostering a positive and productive work environment. This lack of leadership has a significant impact on employee morale and makes it difficult to perform our jobs efficiently.

Additionally, the work environment at LegalMatch is toxic and demoralizing. There is a pervasive sense of negativity and favoritism that permeates the office. Employees are constantly pitted against each other, creating a highly competitive and hostile atmosphere. Instead of fostering collaboration and teamwork, the company encourages an individualistic and cutthroat approach to work, which is not conducive to a healthy work-life balance.

Furthermore, the compensation and benefits package offered by LegalMatch  is far from satisfactory. The pay is significantly below industry standards, making it difficult to make ends meet. The lack of a comprehensive benefits package, including inadequate healthcare coverage and limited vacation time, further adds to the dissatisfaction of working for this company.

Another major issue is the lack of growth and advancement opportunities. LegalMatch in Reno does not invest in the professional development of its employees. There is a lack of training programs or opportunities for career advancement, leaving employees feeling stagnant and unfulfilled in their roles.

Finally, the company's overall lack of transparency and disregard for employee feedback is deeply concerning. Suggestions and concerns go unheard and unaddressed, leaving employees feeling undervalued and unappreciated.


Legal Match is a very interesting company, and its good know they have been around for quite very long;  20 plus years. So something is obviously working. For myself, well i guess i really did get the chance to fully enjoy it. Anywho they will hire anybody with a social security card. Because it is high turn over position. They’re figuratively throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks. You’re offered 2 comp plan options &  2 different training options. I recommend taking the higher comp plan to start, and highly recommend the 4 day training instead of 2. The faster they put you on the phones to start dialing, the faster the verbal warnings/write ups are gonna come for NOT hitting your metrics. They have these levels of sales personnel. And its literally a roll of dice to make it out of the first level. So that you can actually take on real leads yourself. I personally think that’s something that should be trained from the beginning. Because in the hand off stage, its a headache. Also you have Friday to Thursday to hit specific metrics; another weird thing! They will start a paper trail on you no later than your second week.  To them it’s to “spark a fire” under you to sell. Good luck with the lead base though, because they’re all from outdated data sources dated from 2006. And the so called “directors” aka just your local bar hopper with a sales manager title. Well that also depends who you get as well. Overall good luck this role when they do call, because they’re will if you stupidly applied like i did. 

LegalMatch has been my favorite workplace of anywhere I've ever worked. We focus on testing and improvement. It is fun. My team is supportive of one another. It makes them a delight to work with and makes things more flexible for all of us. If any one of us need time off our teammates are able to step in. 

My typical day is: meetings to check up on how our ad campaigns are doing, what progress we've made on new initiatives and brainstorm on what we are going to do next. I make sure everyone on my team has the resources they need to do their job and that they are learning, growing and having fun with what they are doing. When I'm not in meetings I'm looking over specs or nudging tests along or analyzing what's working and what's not. 

Management is very metrics focused, which fits my personality well. We set ambitious goals, which we usually achieve. I think it makes things more exciting. I like our management team. Management listens to ideas from everyone. They don't always agree with everyone, but they do hear people out.

Workplace culture varies from team to team. The culture within my team is a joy to be a part of. We are very supportive and encouraging of one another. 

The hardest part of the job is dealing with misinformation. The legal industry is a tough industry filled with people who like to argue.

There are two things I really love with my job: the work itself and the people I work with. The job is fun and challenging. My co-workers are a joy to work with.

You get what you put in at Legalmatch. This career opportunity is not for everyone. After reading these reviews I find it very disappointing from some… I personally have been promoted twice in the last two years. Why, because I work hard. I perform exactly what is expected from me for a national recruiting manager. Our site directors and directors are always on standby if I need anything. Yes, sometimes attorneys are difficult to communicate with but if you’re not comfortable communicating with attorneys. That’s on you. This career opportunity is not for everyone but if you trust the process, you will be successful. Some folks that can come into a huge corporation like this and try to change the wheel. I’m telling you, it won’t work. This corporation been successful for almost 22 years
Read that again! This is why some folks have a tendency to be negative and don’t succeed here. These negative individuals that are here complaining didn’t give it 100%. That is a shame. We were able to operate through the entire pandemic which is a blessing especially to me. I had huge health issues for the last 17 months and all my directors and upper management were very supportive if I had to take time to go and do doctors appointments and medical procedures. 

Very Flexible and awesome work-life balance. The senior management team is always wiling to help and encourage your creativity. I am a part-time legal content developer. They really love your input and opinion as an employee and allow you to contribute your knowledge, skills, and creativity in the growth of their company. 

Its a growing company that evolving in the legal community. The main focus of the company is to be recognized as a primary legal source by providing legal information and knowledge to prospective clients with legal needs and also by matching pre-screened lawyers with clients throughout the community. This way they cut-out the middle man and ensure that all clients are matched with the right attorney. 

What I do at LegalMatch is write, edit, and draft legal articles for the community library where people can research their issues and learn of their options. The company has great perks (vacation, holiday pay, direct deposit) and has a very flexible work-life balance schedule. Not stressful or disorganized environment. The senior management team is always willing to help.

Love this job and there is A LOT  to learn. Something new every day.  The team I work with and my manager are great. The manager  works among us and if I have questions she will help me manage any account in a more efficient or effective way. She also appreciates my feedback and has passed along my ideas to upper management. Before LegalMatch, I worked in a very high pressure job and this is a good place for me. Not to say managing the attorney accounts is easy but it’s easier than what I did before with so much pressure and extremely  tight deadlines. When I need help with an account or if I have a question my manager or a co worker is always available.  I have a flexible schedule and I’m looking forward to learning more about managing accounts and customer service. Not going to lie,  I was intimidated by this job in the  beginning, but I’ve learned attorneys need help just like anyone else to run their business and they appreciate me. The KAM Team works together, co workers are of all ages and we enjoy our hours, since we can choose our schedules. Looking forward to at least a few more years here.  Love this job. It’s a great fit for me. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Being part of the shark tank was fun, and listening to whatever music we wanted to on the floor.  That's about it.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The pay to start. Takes forever to get your first paycheck. Then when you don't get your 2nd deal in their timeframe the let you go.  But honestly it was just an experiment that ultimately did not work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I think it was very biased and pre judged by people who thought they were God, and not human. A lot of talking behind people's backs and a lot of fake people.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You constantly call attorneys all day that don't want anything to do with you. Constantly hung up on, and you are at their mercy.  If you don't speak their language you get nowhere.  It's honestly a waste of time unless you have worked there for several years. They let go a lot of good people and it's cutthroat.
