You would get dispatched to a job site, greet the customer gather information, fix the machine, test the machine and fill out the service report and ensure the customer is satisfied before leaving. The training was for specimen preparation devices, disease and cancer diagnosis equipment used in hospitals and laboratories all across the world. Management was very supportive, they would try to help you with anything you needed. Co workers were very good, we could always count on a co worker for help or assistance or just to answer questions. The hardest part of the job were some of the awkward spaces the equipment was placed and trying to work on it without interfering with the customers daily activities. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the smile on the customers face when you finished the job and they can use their machine. 

Day started with the QDIP meeting with management team to review the day befores productivity,quality, inventory status and the on time delivery of the microscopes that were requested from our customers. Review the current days schedule. Receive the days returns in SAP, then pull the units that are schedule to be shipped and build them and insure they are fully operational. The training was always on going to keep up with the growing technology in the medical and industrial fields. worked with best in these fields. working with the field Reps assist them in there on going training was very satisifying.
The hardest part of this job was leaving

Repaired demo and customer equipment with quality and customer satisfaction.  Learned how to breakdown priorities and provide EXCEL reports on a daily basis for daily, monthly, and yearly goals.  Co-workers became best of friends and always worked together in order to achieve our goals and maximize quality and customer satisfaction on required deadlines.  Rush for end of month deadlines for sales was the challenging part of the job, but was still manageable.  I loved coming to a friendly work environment that was fun but always professional, always looked forward to the next day of work.

My team was proposed a compensation plan in Q1, which we signed for. It's a contract I signed for for measuring your performance and revenue in reaching your quota. I met all 3 quarters and in the last quarter I was supposed to receive a great bonus. Now I find out it's all accumulative and we only received a $200 bonus. What a slap in the face that was. It clearly doesn't state that on our comp. plan. When brought this attention to management they basically shrugged their shoulders and said it's been done this way for the past 3 years. They have promised a lot and not delivered to the employees who work hard to bring in the revenue!

The money is great.  Paid very well to do basic administration tasks

Managers who don’t recognize talent, skill and abilities.  No promotions or praises.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very demanding, no management who don’t care or communicate.  Making money is the focus

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chaos, teams who don’t answer phones or follow up with customers in timely manner

I would be at the customer's account @ 7:00 AM and stay until the work was completed. I was working at an account and troubleshooting why an antibody was not working. I ended up staying until 3:00 AM. I was able to get a great deal of information to send back to the company. We got the antibody working and the customer was very happy. Another time a customer called me at 11:30 pm to walk her through a situation on the tissue processor. We got them up and going and always put the customers first.
I loved the people I worked with we were definitely a team.

I work from 8am to 5pm Mon thru Fri as a Senior Cust Service Rep in the Medical Division. We are logged into the 800 line to answer calls from both customers and our sales reps throughout the country. The reps I work with demand quotes for surgical microscopes with different components. I enter 75% of all orders that come in including spare parts and full systems. It is typically fast paced between the call and order volume. I work with an exciting group of people and no day is the same around here.

The amount of micromanaging asked of everyone is increasing. This use to be a fun place to work but lately the restrictions and rules have piled on. It’s no longer a workplace that is better than the others, it’s just the same as all of the other companies. The pay here is less than others that require less travel and the work is much harder. Training is required on every product and they often force multiple trainings in a short time with very little OJT. You’re expected to travel on Monday and be gone until Friday away from your family. 

Good company to work for and enjoyed the culture of the company.
I was responsible for the supervision and mentoring a team on six in the areas of Financial Reporting and Analysis and Accounting/Finance.
I was responsible for the consolidation of thirty-five clients incding Kraft, Home Depot and Kellogg’s. 
I also performed monthly and annual forecasting/budgeting involving consolidation, division and business unit level with product line detail to include sales, gross margin and expenses.

Everything started off great. I was a temp. I was heavily encouraged to apply for their perm position being told by various members of management that this would be just a formality as I already had the job - although it was in temp form. Then I get brought into a meeting telling me they hired the director's friend for the position and that I would be required to train this new person who had no experience. Shortly after that, I left the company.

Other than that, my coworkers were great.
