Please save yourself some time and do not apply to this job. This is not a job if you previously was a social worker. You will be in “training” for two & a half weeks (and when I say training I mean looking at a slide show with lots of notes) and get all of your caseload. The managers will NOT tell you anything about your caseload (services, authorizations needed etc) however they will assume that you automatically jus know.Don’t bother asking the manager for help because they will not help you or even try. They will tell you to send a mass email out to other coordinators or tell you to figure it out because they don’t know. They don’t respond to emails at all. It’s very frustrating because all you do all day long is pointless paperwork and give out information packet (for ex, a consumer tell you they need a home care agency and you give them a list of 500 places to chose from.. that’s it). That’s it. Nothing more. This organization should be EMBARRASSED to call themselves or having any relations to being in social services. If they cared about their consumers they would make sure that their staff was properly trained& given the tools to be successful. Instead they send them in the field with no knowledge or clear sense of directions and pray that they get it right. It’s a disgrace. And if you do drugs don’t worry they don’t drug test you which is ridiculous!!!!!!!

This is a stressful position. It's heavily administrative with deadlines to meet quaterly and quotas to meet weekly. The paperwork is tedious and time consuming.   The caseload is quite a bit. If you don't have a good supervisor then it makes the job even more daunting/stressful. It can be quite frustrating. Travel is 60% of the job which they try to lessen the extent by assigning caseloads close to where you live which was a plus. 

The co workers were great to work along with and build connections. You get to help individuals improve their lives by obtaing services and supports for them. This job will provide the opportunity to make a difference as you build relationships with your consumers, becoming a source of support. However, the administrative part comprises the quality of service to provide because, ultimately, your focus is to meet the weekly billable unit quotas. Lastly, you should be okay with going into homes that may make you uncomfortable or inappropriate consumers.

High attrition/turnover rates

… where human beings are swapped for units that are endlessly cycled through screens and rotated among a constantly changing staff. At some point you may wonder what a few of your colleagues contribute as you pound the pavement, receive confusing new instructions, and observe a leadership team that has no clear direction or vision.

The work can feel strangely soulless despite the service it provides to families. Who are you, as a worker? A replacement for the last one. Who is the client as a person? It doesn't really matter, so long as you generate a generic plan for them to satisfy your reqs. The whole process is oddly dehumanizing for all parties involved, but it pays the bills, don't it?

You will find other staff to vent your unhappiness to until you move on in 6 months to a year and never really look back.

However, there are flashes of hope! But those glimmers are overshadowed by toxic energy that no one has the courage or resources to address.

Liberty Resources Inc, means well. They offer great programs like exercise, yoga classes onsite free of charge before and after work 75% off transportation pass and mileage reimbursement. But that never seems to offset the burnout you will feel. Your job is rewarding because you're making sure your consumers maintain their OLTL (Office of long term living) waiver. This job has a high turnover rate and often is understaffed causing case managers to feel the burden. If you are fresh from college it's definitely a good job to lead you where you want to go. Finding a good work balance is key and don't take your consumers home with you. Learning self-care maybe the case manager's lesson in this field. Making sure you meet billing requirements is pretty grueling. But due to the work from home option most people just suck it up.

Honestly, wasn’t a bad job. There was just no work life balance. You worked from home and the caseloads were too high. The job becomes too stressful. There was a mixture of good managers and terrible ones. They offered free yoga and home buying, business starting kinda classes, but the caseloads never allowed you the time and you were forced to follow a quota so you kinda just never attended them because you were too busy not pulling your hair out. They also keep the SC’s in the dark about everything until the very last moment, even though the SC’s are the one’s that keep the company afloat. Overall good but you’ll probably want to leave within 5 months of being there.


Liberty community connections has a great, supportive environment. The management team are accessible and great role models. In my experience, they have always followed through on all questions and concerns. The field, in general, has a lot of paperwork, but this company is the best service coordination agency I have worked for. LCC also gives bonuses and raises when they can. Although the consumers can be challenging, managers and SCs are personable and resourceful which makes the work easier. 

Flexibility with hours and work from home policy is a plus. Benefits are good but expensive if you are getting it for an entire family. Management acts like a clique. Micromanaging is ridiculous. Work-Life balance is difficult with the huge amount of stress and anxiety it causes. Deadlines from contracted MCOs can be unattainable. Not all supervisors and managers are helpful. Must be able to adapt to continuously changing processes, systems, and requirements that sometimes come up absolute last minute.

This job is concentrated in social work even though you don't need a social work license or degree. You also don't get paid as a social worker. You work independently and it's mostly remote work. You don't get as much training as you need and management doesn't promote good morale. It's good experience but stressful work.
