Working for a hospital could be very hectic and unpredictable but I was able to adapt and thrive in that type of fast paced environment. 

Being part of a Trauma Center there were rarely any typical days at work. Some of my responsibilities included screening patients, preparing their medical history, interpreting for LEP patients, assisting the medical residents and attendings in performing Vision Screenings, Visual Field tests,  and Automated Refractions.
Working as part of a team was very enjoyable. I had a great relationship with my co -workers while maintaining professionalism. 

The hardest part of my job was the environmental issues such as the heating system not functioning properly during the winter. Overall 
I enjoyed my position which allowed me to help patients and their families with their medical needs and concerns.

Liberty Health is an awesome  place to work. It allows for flexibility, clinical ladder opportunities and evidence based research. They also have a great compensation and benefit plan. In the four years that I have been there i enjoyed the people and the diversity of cultures. i was able to broaden my knowledge of new customs and traditions, just from my interaction with colleagues and patients. 
I have to admit, however, because it was a trauma center in an urban area, the workload often was strenuous and overwhelming.. Patient to Nurse ratio at times would reach 8:1. Nevertheless, this allowed me to improve my multitasking and micromanaging skills. Overall, Liberty health was an excellent employer.

Working for Liberty Health taught me a lot of useful nursing and hospitality skills. I learned to care for sick patients and to multi-task as well as performing my job under a hectic hospital environment. I am skilled in phlebotomy and echocardiograms as well as in CPR, vital signs, glucose testing and data entry. I learned to interact with dozens of different ethnic groups and co workers from all different backgrounds. The hardest part of my job was perhaps dealing with terminally ill patients. The most enjoyable part of the job was to build a friendly relationship with patients and provide them with the best care possible.

Hospital Management System project covers all the major functional areas of hospital. The project has been developed on the latestrelational database system technology - SQL Server 2000 and Visual Basic 6.0, with stringent data security and easy recovery in case of a system failure. It gives the benefits of streamlined operations, enhanced administration and control, improved response to patient care, cost control, and improved profitability.

A vulgar bully of a Nursing Director coupled with a weak Facility Manager set the stage for dangerous levels of staffing, very poor patient care and low moral.  Issues around staffing, diversion and poor outcomes were ignored.  Staff who spoke out were routinely stifled and marginalized.  Culture of upper level management protecting status quo dominated entire facility as all efforts were to maintain margins for cost containment as dictated by corporate entity.

A typical work day for me consist of supervising the TCA's on the evening shift. Writing daily reports to administration about the shift. Providing leadership during crisis management. Instructing TCA's on the proper ways to execute their job duties.

A typical day at work could be me in home care, long term care, subacute, or a vehavioral health setting. The hardest part if my job is not knowing where my assignment may be that day, sometimes its hard not to get attached to residents and co workers if you have been requested at a facility for a long time.

I am only on a 3 month contract. 
I am usually early at work. I log on; get me a nice cup of coffee; go back to my desk.
At 8am the first call comes through. Sometimes busy. The manager is great. Really an Open-Door policy. My Team Leader comes around to each and every one and will ask how we are.
No hard part.
I enjoy the culture and friendliness of the my Team Leader and Manageress.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Horrible place to work. The payroll manager treats the employees awful. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The manager yelling at the employees all day long. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful and frustrating. The manager was always yelling.

Days are always busy which makes the time fly by.
Staff is great but upper management support could be worked on.

Most enjoyable was the co-workers...they are friendly and caring towards co-workers, patients and their families.
