LifeCenter Northwest

The management staff at LifeCenter Northwest are young and inexperienced.  The managers are insensitive and care about numbers and not about the people who work for them.  
The hardest part of the job each day was being micro managed by the director.
The most enjoyable part of the job was working with hospital staff during the donation process.  The hospital staff were always appreciative for the guidance through the process of donation.

I would get calls at random times during the day and night to go to the medical examiner's office to recover tissue. A recovery could range from 6 hours to 18 hours, depending on the number of donors. Overall, I enjoyed working for the company and the only negative was the immature work culture.

My experience here allowed me to grow in my knowledge, understanding and application of critical care interventions. 

We take a team approach to donation through collaboration with all members of the health care team and patients families.

everyone is so nice and safety is enforced pretty well. Training/staff meetings are frequent. Company pays for gym membership which is nice, and usually there is food for all staff frequently. Fruit delivered available in cafeteria every week for all staff to enjoy. Free parking garage for staffs which is really nice.

I was responsible for organ recovery paperwork.
I helped procure and prepare specimens for analysis.
Packaging, and delivering of organs.
Coordinating the flights for the surgeons and the team.
Ordering and restocking the supplies.
Mixing of medications for solutions.

Company offers great benefits, pay is reasonable. Manager likes to micromanage and complains about being overworked. Manager likes to talk bad about employees behind their back, especially about former employees. Poor management style/approach which leads to employees low morale. 

The best job I ever held. Intellectually challenging and emotionally challenging.  Worked well with team members at the time, though some team members did not pull their weight on cases. 

In office support from management was poor and inconsistent.  The clinical Tissue recovery staff weren't as valued as other office workers.  There was an extreme lack of support from upper management.

Mission is amazing. The fulfillment you get from the type of work you do at LifeCenter is unlike anything i've ever experienced. Work is fast-paced and they hire the best employees.

This was hands down, one of the best places that I have worked in my career. I would jump at an opportunity to work with them in the future and would recommend it to other qualified job seekers.
