A typical day at work was hectic and there were more clients to see than there was time to see them.  Caseloads are top-heavy and office is short-staffed.  Management focus is on bringing in the funding, not patient care.  No employee support for providing real care for clients.  Employee support is non-existent and supervision is constantly negative.  No work-life balance and employees often work through their lunches to try to catch up with documentation.  Most are exhausted by the end of the day and cannot maintain the drudgery of overwork.

LBS is the lowest paying CMH in Wayne County.  You will work your butt off: caseload 110+.  Staff turnover is high for a reason.  You will learn more from your co-workers than any trainings.  Diverse clientele and non-stop interactions.  Poor security and no follow through or consequences if/when clients threaten or become assaultive.  Staff works hard to provide interventions; only to have management derail progress by hand-holding rather than empowering clients.  Many employees do minimal work, falsifying hours and go unpunished.  It's a great starter job just don't plan on making it a career.

I started at LBS out of grad school. It was good for the experience but pay and promotions were severely lacking my entire time there. 

I did like my immediate manager but often felt as though management was out of touch with the current issues that their employees were facing. 

There wasn’t much opportunity for growth here—just moving around between the same type of position within different settings. LOTS of burnout and high staff turnover.

Working at Lincoln was ok at first then it became stressful. Working with the mentally Ill is already a challenge. Beware they will throw you under the bus given the chance. The employees I worked with were catty they are sneaky will try and sabotage you, very messy  the social workers are very unprofessional  will try to get you fired. Play at your own risk if you are considering working here.

Gathering Place Clubhouse is a wonderful, fun and supportive place to work.  If you are fortunate enough to be offered a job at this place-TAKE IT.  PSR is a life transforming program-for its clients AND staff.

The rest of the staff (the therapists, WRAP around team, clerical staff, and childcare staff were the only good that came out of this job. The clients were amazing! HR ruined the job for me, I have never felt as low as I did while working there. HR spoke down to me, criticized me, micro managing every thing I do, etc. The worst HR manager I have EVER worked for.

Caseload sizes are unmanageable and make it very difficult to maintain a low stress environment. Monthly direct service hours incentives are difficult to reach. Organization has supportive individuals who are very skilled employed there. Open to interns and great place to receive hands-on learning during or after school. Gym membership is included and located in the building, which is a plus.

Working for Lincoln Behavioral Health Services at the Gathering Place Clubhouse has been a very rewarding experience.  The staff and members are incredibly caring and offer a wealth of knowledge.  I am thankful for the privilege of working beside such incredible people.

If it weren't for the high caseloads I would have still been there. In particular the Child and Family Outpatient is some of the kindest and caring group of professionals I've ever met. They compensate fairly, give PTO that is competitive, and you really feel appreciated. It was one of the most stressful jobs I've ever had but the kids, families, coworkers, and appreciation were 5 star. I miss them every day.
