The main thing that stands out to me about Apollo Medical is that when there is an opportunity for advancement within the company, it is first offered to current employees prior to being published within the community. Apollo Medical management really care about the success and happiness of their employees. There are multiple different levels of career opportunities offered at the company with great benefits and flexible hours offered. Over the years, I've had to opportunity to work in many different positions starting at an entry level position and have worked my way up to management. The culture at Apollo is second to none. We strive to make difficult job duties enjoyable and the staff here are amazing and supportive. Positive communication between field staff and administrative staff helps develop our amazing culture here. The most difficult part of the job is keeping the well-oiled machine, well-oiled. It takes focus and drive from all areas of the company. Which leads me to the most enjoyable part of the job, the teamwork. If we have a coworker out unexpectedly, the team quickly works together to make sure the company continues to run smoothly. I know when i am gone, my duties are being taken care of with the same amount of effort that I put into it. It is wonderful to be able to go on vacation and know that I can transition back in effortlessly. 

Long term employee that has worn several different hats at Apollo Medical.  As a field clinician, I would care for patients in their homes based off of a schedule I was able to make myself. This made for flexibility during business hours which in turn made time for finalizing paperwork, MD phone calls/obtaining orders, personal MD appointments, etc. I was provided all necessary equipment and was trained and tested on all skills required to perform the job confidently and appropriately. If i ever had a question, my coworkers and the office staff/DON were more than willing to assist me. The best part about working here is the OWNER of the company is always in the office and/or a phone call away. When clinicians have concerns that go beyond their direct supervisors, we are encouraged to call and discuss with the owner and he is always willing to help figure out a solution. Apollo has a very transparent and supportive atmosphere with excellent leadership. The hardest part of the job was the high acuity of patients served, yet was the most valuable learning experience out of all of my nursing jobs. I always felt appreciated and respected by my peers and supervisors which makes any job easier and more enjoyable. Outings, happy hours and holiday parties with the Apollo Team are always a blast. I would definitely recommend working at Apollo or utilizing their services for home health needs.

Home health company that takes any kind of patient as they are desperate. Owner is all for profit could careless of the surroundings field staff have to endure. Direct nursing supervisor can’t ever handle issues on her own, if she does you’ll be ignored and talked about in the office so that everyone comes up with reasons not to like you, your caseload will be heavy, she despises the fact of having to help her own field staff and complains about everyone else and violates private info in regards to other coworkers. Certain workers in the office are very helpful and then there are those that want to be the boss of things. Day to day cases can be heavy at times and other territories aren’t as heavy. Your phone pings all day with emails and texts so you never really have an off day & by the way the do not offer phone allowances. If you want an off day they expect you to still see patients as well. Only way you’ll survive at this company long term is if you’re ok with being treated and talked to like an uneducated person! The owner makes and changes rules as he sees fit and has no medical background all he sees are dollar signs.

Do not work for this company! The owner is not medical and does not respect his staff or understand the hard work and dedication it takes to be a medical professional. Job description posted is not true to what is actually expected. Makes false promises of lighter case loads and more free time. Often infringes on staff personal time with family. He thinks that because does salary instead of hourly work he owns staff and their time.  He has no regard for staff safety sending staff into known dangerous situations. Turnover with field staff very high and clinical director will not help. You will have multiple people changing your schedule adding visits not in your set area. Often end up driving up to an hour from one visit to next. Driving about 8 hours a day   Supposed 8 hour work day becomes 12-14 hours a day. The office is a toxic environment. Office staff including clinical director speak badly of field staff and assistance often ignoring text messages and emails for clarification. Run don’t walk away from this agency.

I am grateful to work here and working with a great team striving to give the utmost level of patient care. There are constant learning and career growth opportunities. Everyone works well as a team to fulfill the shortcomings and nothing is brushed under the rug. Improvements are discussed and achievements celebrated. Pay is average to above average for this market and the benefits are the best! I have never worked where medical, dental, and vision monthly premiums are paid by the company.
Communication is prioritized with all working relationships in the company; employee to supervisor, patient to field staff, case conference, etc. The work-life balance is a goal but not the same for every employee. There is a great deal of trust and flexibility in every position but some are better at getting things done than others. Those that do real time documenting are happy with their work-life balance. I will only work somewhere I would want my own family, friends, or myself to utilize. 

When I went for my for my interview I was impressed with the fact that what I said I wanted at that time for my position to entail , after I started my position they have honored everything I asked for and more.As far as helping to uplift staff morale I think Apollo is the most generous place to work , since Covid-19 and not able to have gatherings like we use to and for Christmas we had a Zoom wine tasting with a tray of meats and cheeses which I thought was the most generous thing then they gave us a very nice yeti mug and they have all kinds of incentives to help keep morale uplifted which makes for a great working environment.

No orientation given leaflet on charting system no formal training. CEO is clueless has no medical background. DON constantly badmouthing coworkers. DON went so far as to email staff to try to get us to say derogatory things about QA nurse to get her in trouble.  Very poor communication. Office staff unorganized no one knew what the others were doing and received multiple calls and emails about same thing from different people. On call too much supposed to have day off week before and after weekend call, but DON would not schedule unless you asked for Day off then would over schedule days working to punish you. Given broken equipment when first sent out to see patients then had to buy own.

I am a long term employee of Apollo Medical and have seen many changes since starting with the company. The changes have been positive with Quarterly bonuses,revised orientation process, improved employee satisfaction, a growing agency with an owner who is willing to take the time to ensure that staff are trained appropriately before sending them out on their own. Home Health is a difficult field to get into and it is not for everyone. You have to be someone who is motivated to get your work done as you are not in a hospital/office setting where your work must be done before you leave. Someone is always available to help with any questions you may have.

I have not been with Apollo Medical long however I work out of the IL office and would give 5/5 stars for how well our team runs! We try to communicate effectively and keep everyone well informed of changes. The clinical director is very helpful and informative and professional in my opinion. The balance of work and home life is great for my family. I can actually sit down and talk to the owner or even call him with questions if I need to--often, which I've found to be not the common these days. I have a very supportive team!

From day one they will communicate very well with you and are very understanding to every aspect of your life. All the staff is friendly and willing to help one another. The benefit and pay are the best I’ve ever seen  especially for a small company. If you work hard and complete your job then they are very rewarding and supportive. The owner is involved and willing to help also. I am proud to tell everyone I work there with some amazing people who are changing the outlook on our home health company and the lives of our patients.
