A typical day at our company starts with prioritizing projects for the day, ensuring a clear and productive workflow. I appreciate having a lot of focus time, as I only attend a handful of meetings each day. Most interactions happen through calls, which I prefer over frequently checking Teams.

As a brand manager, my role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including out-of-store activities to support our retailers, social media management, packaging, website development and maintenance, brand marketing campaigns, and trade shows. This diversity keeps my work engaging and impactful.

One of the standout aspects of our company is its genuine commitment to sustainability. This principle guides every decision and strategy, aligning with our mission to create a positive impact on the environment and society. It's refreshing to work for a company that not only talks about sustainability but actively integrates it into its core operations.

Unlike other CEA companies I’ve worked for, I appreciate the high level of transparency in our annual reporting to shareholders. However, there is currently a bit of a disconnect in how these shareholder goals translate into actionable team objectives. I know LB is in the process of updating this system to ensure that the organization feels united in achieving its goals. This improved transparency will foster even more of a culture of trust and accountability, ensuring that everyone is aligned with our sustainability goals.

Overall, working here has been a rewarding experience, combining professional growth with the satisfaction of contributing to a meaningful mission.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The employees that I got to work around and have laid back the company overall was.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not knowing what your job duties was when you’ve been there over 6 months. Management controlling you, ever step of the way.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pros: The lettuce that they grow is very good and some of the upper management knows what it takes to run startup company (Byron/GA).

Cons: The real leaders that they’ve left go are the ones you knew what they were doing and had the experiences working with produce. They keep hiring inexperienced employees that don’t stay there long because of management. Since management don’t show them what they need to be doing.

The days were dreary, with most people being visibly depressed. We woke up early to go change into smock and hairnet, then work in a <40 degree room packing lettuce. Again and again and again. If you like monotony this job will be great for you. The culture of the job comes from a very sad conservative point of view where work is everything. The job you work is your life, so why not work 60 hours this week? Some of the people were nice and I jived with a few, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't belong there. I worked well and learned fast, but I didn't seem to be as okay with the long hours and draining monotonous work as everyone else. It seemed like I was amongst zombies happily working mandatory overtime.

Great benefits package, PTO and pays overtime. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The company is new and lacks quality leadership/management. This causes heavy workloads and high employee turn over.

Most employees are team players and support each other well. The work environment is challenging and often unpredictable as production needs and schedules are changed. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Shifts are generally 8-12 hours with an hour lunch and two 10 minute breaks.

Hourly staff are great people. Always locals who understand their importance

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
More corporate people than working staff. No experience in food among them and not willing to listen to lower level employees that do.

Micro managing and back stabbing

Unrealistic workload based on lack of understanding from corporate of what real days consist of, and whether food safety should be important

Change is one of the most difficult things to accept, but it is often necessary for a business to shift course in order to thrive. This company has not disappointed with the changes being made to keep it at the forefront of CEA (controlled environment agriculture). With the latest innovations such as the stack and flow process, I  see nothing but great things ahead for the company and I am onboard for future of this company. 

Whatever the original business plan was seems to change every few months, and plans are not stuck to. There's no clear direction top-down, and it seems like no one knows anything about produce or managing people. Several good leaders either left or were fired in the last year. The company's financials are awful as they continue to burn through financing at an alarming rate

Loved working here, was promised advancement in the company, however learned that there was none. Worked very hard and learned as much as I could, but was turned down by management, because I "brought up to many issues with the production line."  Although, manager at the time is no longer there, but fired me after putting my two weeks in. I would not recommend this company for anyone to work at. By far the worst company to work for. 

The product is top notch. However, the company appeared to promote only the younger people and the pay/ ability to raise your pay is horrible.  As an older person ( 30ish+) you most likely will not advance.
