The people in the office have no vote as to quarter going on in everyday field and shop life. Always a disconnect.

Field and shop workers treated like they don’t matter from office staff.

Disorganized for shop workers

Good job, rewarding work. Plenty of opportunities for advancement within the company as long as you are willing to work. Dirty job depending on the machine you are sent to. Don’t expect any hand outs work hard don’t complain and you will be recognized and given the option to move up in whichever direction you want operations or maintenance.

Run as fast as you can it's a trap. You never get to go home and your just another number to them.  Could use better training and management. Really could be a good job

My experience was great I had the best superintendent there is and the best crew you could ask for. We all got alone well went out looked out for one another and made money doing it.

 No per diem.  Management is fair and understanding.  You work remotely. Safety is promoted.  A lot of hours worked but you can get time off. Overall decent job

Pay was decent and got to see a lot of the country. Will be left alone by management as long as you can do your job effectively and not cause a lot of problems.


Lots of overtime. Management was just not really there. spent weeks on the road, Communication was pretty nonexistent as well with management and the railroad

Must be able to learn in the fly. You will be required to travel 100% of the time working 6-8 weeks at a time and going home for a 2 week vacation/break.
