Working at Lupin Pharmaceuticals enabled me to expand upon my sales skills through specialized sales training. I employed tactics to better communicate, listen and form questions which enabled me to understand my customers wants and needs.

I grew as a specialized sales representative, having the opportunity to call on various fields of specialty, such as Pediatrics, Urology, OB/GYN, Cardiology and Orthopedics to name a few.

I expanded my portfolio to a wide list of drugs I was able to promote - from skin care, antibiotics, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular.

After planning a detailed routing for the week, a typical day would have me traveling to a part of my territory, interacting with my doctors in a way that I could grow upon the business I already established. Continuous targeted marketing of my drug, discovering roadblocks that may hinder growth of use by doctor, keeping doctors up to date on product or price or managed care changes. Targeted lunches to gain time with multiple physicians in the office were scheduled routinely.

To increase the capacity to grow business, my day consisted of calling on neighboring pharmacies to my offices.

In my current position as a Professional Sales Representative I have been given an under developed territory with a major task of improving the market share of branded pharmaceutical products. This market consist of all of Western Michigan and parts of Indiana with a focus on Pediatrics, Urgent Cares and Family Medicine. 

On a weekly basis every morning starts at 730am making sure my Ipad is up to date with any new material from the Corporate office, then on the road by 8am heading to my first meeting. Through out the day I have set goals of meeting with 6 to 8 key target doctors on product feedback and prescription progress. Also I must meet a target goal of 2 to 4 pharmacies calls on a daily basis on stocking of these product for easy patient access and pickup. 

Last call of the day is between 430 and 5pm making sure I have met all my targets goals every day every week. At the end of the night I make sure my next day routes, and meetings are set to go with no delay time in the am. Since most of my offices are between 30 and 45 minutes apart it is extremely important to have everyday preplanned to eliminate down time, to meet my expectations and target goals.

Typical day is starts with planning and prepping accounts.  You need to know the customers that are going to impact your business and help you achieve your goals.  
I learned that by using the sales data and knowing a customers habits you can find the proper customers that will impact your bottom line.
The hardest part of the job is the part that is uncontrollable.  Its the obstacles you cannot control, for example: you make the sale and find after you have put in 20 or more hours that the insurance companies will not support the product and the customer does not want to pay for the product.  In this situation you need to find ways to prove your product is still the best solution.  If this still does not happen you need to know when to cut your looses and hunt for the next sale.
 
I enjoy knowing that the products I sell or helping prolong lives and even save them in many situations.  People rely on some of the products and need them creating a demand in a highly competitive arena.

Lupin Inc is an ambitious, success, driven company. It has high expectations of its employees. They offer many opportunities for promotion and career growth. A typical day at work is very busy. I start at 7 am and I set up all my testing equipment and jump right in as soon as I get to work. I have learned much at this job. Because it just recently opened a location here, everything has been on the job training and very fast pace. Since I am the youngest at my job it is somewhat difficult to relate to my coworkers who have children and are married but they are all very nice people. the hardest part of my job is having to balance it with my school life. Because I work full time and go to school full time, it can be difficult with the my present workload to not get too stressed. The most enjoyable part of my job is learning about all the new things I get to work with.

Would call on a minimum of 10 physicians a day as well as 4 pharmacists.  Build rapport with these physicians and sell products from Lupin Portfolio. Keep up to date with competitive products and know the ins and out of my territory.
My manager was excellent, most of the time hands off, but readily available to help with anything and give input whether its positive enforcement or constructive criticism.  Coworkers were great and have become close friends.  hardest part of the job was being laid off.  Enjoyable part of the job is seeing different people every day and interacting with a whole lot of staff.

Lupin was a good place of employment with good potential for their employees. A typical work day consisted of 8 office calls and 4 pharmacy calls to promote product portfolio. I learned a lot about the pharmaceutical industry and the fun it is to provide great products to needed patients.  The coworkers were great! There was a strong team unity in our region.  The hardest part of the job was handling insurance coverage issues and pharmacy stocking issues.  The most enjoyable part was meeting the office staff and getting to know them much more then a person to sale something too. This helped with sales and promotion of the product portfolio.

As with many companies in transformation, processes are still evolving and organizational complexity can create challenges but for those who are adaptable and solutions oriented there is real opportunity here. 

Management doesn't have a clue and could care less about supporting you in your position that in turn could help the company.  The QA manager was horrible and could care less about you as an employee.  I was hired on a contract for and after starting the entire QC team left one after the other and the company just replaced them with other contractors. I wasn't given proper training and was told "to just ask someone" on how to perform my job duties.  No feedback on job performance until my contract was up then I was just told it would not be extended.

Everyday at the work Lupin Ltd has asked questions for which answers has given me much needed confidence. I was working in the Environmental Engineering department. The sheer responsibility to handle hundreds of workers and equipment worth millions has taught me things one or two about man management and responsible use of power. The culture was mainly work driven. The hardest part of the job was the smell coming from Equalization tank. I guess the most enjoyable part of the job was the power and responsibility it brought with the position.

At first this company was great, the management, the culture was great. Over the years the culture has changed and the management is horrible. The company do not care about the employees that actually work, promotions are given to those people who do not work and grief to those who wanna make a difference. They preach a company of entrepreneurial spirit but do not want to give those opportunities to make a difference. The review and merit process is unfair and a joke. The pay is horrible, raises are horrible. Overall, this company has gone down quickly.
