If you thought being a part of the flight program would be a dream job, think again! Most of the nurses that work flight are mediocre at best, and have no experience in prehospital emergency care. If you know more than them or intimidate them they single you out and gang up on you. Next thing you know they’re calling management who are spineless and complain about you until they finally run you out. Management only cares about filling seats and not dealing with the nurses drama. It’s not worth the stress for such a low paying job. If you can make it there a year you’ll have seniority, that’s how high the turn over rate is for such a highly sought after job. 0/10 don’t recommend! 

I was not given an accurate idea of the company. I was lied to at the interview when they told me the benefits they offered and when I started I was tossed into the role with very little training. The provider I worked with was a major jerk and when asked to be moved to a different position I was turned down. I tried to apply for different positions on my own and was ghosted by all of them. Mental health means nothing to them. Hostile work environment indeed!

A typical day at work can be very exciting.  Since I work for a surgeon there are days that don't seem like they will be very busy, but next thing you know there could be a call that could turn the whole day upside down.  We adapt very quickly when these events occur and pull together as a team to get the job done.  I am very fortunate to work with such a fabulous team of professionals.

Everyone works well together and I never feel alone

I get to work with the best group of nurses and support staff ever. It makes going to work fun

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work environment was very toxic. Business people should not be running a medical entity. However, I would like to thank Lutheran for terminating me for not making them enough money. The job I have now is a million times better, and I actually feel supported in my work.

I loved working at St. Joseph Hospital. CHS bought the hospital and it all went downhill from there. Speech wreck and offshoring to third world countries ruined this career. But, the quality of this transcription is poor, so I guess they get what they pay for.

Family feel. Friendly, patient focused staff

Busy, a steady manageable pace

The job itself is stressful enough, but coupling that with the poor management (especially upper management) choices and you have a recipe for disaster.  There are many good clinicians working at Lutheran, albeit the company itself exemplifies much of what is wrong in our health care system.

All my co workers were very helpful along with mgmt, knowledgeable and caring.
Training was very informative, also had someone onsite we referred to as a "superuser" to help if we had trouble with computer program.

Lutheran is a place where if you want to advance  you wont. It could be better if they were a organization  that treated  there people right and with respect
