The lack of integrity is sickening and as a result there are a few things that you can expect if you decide to not heed warning! 

You can expect that management will not honor any thing they say to you ( this is both at the facility level and corporate level), so I suggest highly to get everything in writing with a signature because if not they will not honor their word. But be clear to not voice too much dissent because most people are family members and or friends of family and you will find yourself having less resources. Depending on whose toes you step on you might receive a stern email from a close family friend that also works with the company trying to scold you for speaking the truth. If you are in a management position, you can expect to not be supported with the tools and resources you need to manage. You can expect a complete lack of accountability from upper management for all staff members due to the lack of clear policies and protocols. You can expect to not have a salary, benefits that are competitive with the market nor will it be comparable to their competitors. You can expect that you will not have a performance evaluation review because you are not going to receive an annual bonus unless you are one of the "chosen few" so there is no need to evaluate your job performance. You are also not going to need a performance evaluation because you are not going to be presented with any career opportunities for growth within the company. 

The requirements of most job positions are unrealistic only because of the lack of resources for all departments including health services, clinical services, dietary, activities. You can expect that you are not going to have access to basic Office Microsoft Tools: Outlook email, Teams, Word, Excel, etc. because you more than likely will not have an email account or a working computer that is not shared with at least four other team members. You can expect carpal tunnel after you purchase pens ( pens are not made available and staff are expected to have their own pens) to write all the charting because MADO Healthcare does not have an operating Electronic Health Record. You will not have direct deposit.

This is a very stagnant and draining culture. The culture of the company can be best be described as male dominated, authoritative and stifling. The values of women are not welcomed although the majority of the staff are females. In this patriarchy the only voice that matters is the male CEO. Many actions are not rooted in theory or logic and are not for discussion so be prepared to be quiet. You can expect there will be no diversity and inclusivity, this is a family company and you are either family or not. Due to the nature of the "family", you will be required to participate in Christian religious holidays and activities regardless of your personal beliefs, you can expect to have tremendous pushback from management that have no cultural sensitivity unless it is related to Irish culture - so be prepared to participate in what is called St. Patrick's Day.

Overall, your work life balance will be highly chaotic just like the inner workings of MADO Healthcare. You can expect to be called and or emailed after hours. You will be expected to have access to email at all times via your personal device that you are not going to be compensated for using while on work hours. Despite being one of the key speakers at the Kennedy Forum - a forum to discuss inclusivity in mental health - MADO falls short on its ability to provide ANY mental health resources for its staff. As a last WARNING, this is not a safe place to disclose to your employer anything regarding mental health as you will soon see it will be used against you .

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was very enjoyable, working with co-workers and residents , we learned something new every day about resident behaviors. And how to solve their worries, a simple acknowledging of what their needs were, trust fund, smoking time, change of clothes, diaper change, or they just needed comfort with conversation, shower, a phone call to family, snacks, what's on the food menu, on lot floors who is going to bring the elevator to our floor. Coffee and water,was one of the things staff would have make sure to much wasn't consumed, residents we all had to keep up with  the ones that went all over the floor, in everyones rooms taking items.we looked for patient shoes, he changed shoes  with another patient with out him knowing..we all had to laugh. It was a new adventure everyday, it was never a dull moment we worked as a team.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When all of the residents wanted to take showers at the same time, we had to explain they had to wait until we were finished with the person we had in the shower first.

It is a environmental for behavioral patients and it fit their needs. It is multiple culture

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I have multiple skills, I have worked with all types of patients, residents. It was enjoyable to me.

They don’t pay enough. Benefits are not good. No vision insurance. NO SHORT TERM/LONGTERM DISABILITY! NO FMLA! NO TUITION REIMBURSEMENT! Personal/Sick time sucks…it doesn’t start right away. You have to wait forever for it to start. NO DIRECT DEPOSIT!!! They still use paper checks. If you don’t want that hassle think twice before applying! This place needs to move from the Flintstone Stone Age age move to the modern era. Management and Corporate are very unprofessional! Save yourself from the headache. There’s plenty of good companies out there you can work for! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
They say its a psyic facility,  more like an drug rehabilitation center. It's filthy with bed  bugs, lice & mice. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting the clients to take showers & clean rooms. Drug over doses

Very Stressful, unorganized call you on the walkie seems like every 5 minutes

This company doesn't care about there employees and the pay isn't worth the time and love that you put into your job. The only good thing I can say is you meet an abundance of clients that you grow to love and respect who has more sense than upper management the regular crew bust there behind with no recognition no thank you no nothing I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

It not the place you will work at if you don't play the game of look away.

Keeping you mouth closed about what going on in that place.

Very bad people that work there. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Cleaning offices, hallway , bathroom and praying for the people living there

Working with the Mentally ill is a great experience. I help residents improve their quality of life, help residents remain meaningful engaged in life experiences, helped residents meet their physical needs. also provided the normalization of social contacts and deter isolation etc.

If you only care about getting a pay check, Mado is a good fit for you. If you care about people and you want to make a difference, this place will be extremely frustrating and aggrevating. Staff are not supported or appreciated and that makes people not care about their job, unfortunately. 

DO not apply for kitchen positions. The Cooks are treated with the less amount of respect that I have ever seen in a cook position. Normally cooks are regarded and respected. A woman from corporate comes in and intimates whole kitchen staff at least twice a week, disrupting the whole kitchen dynamic. Manager lies and doesn't help employees. Union WORKS FOR MANAGEMENT. STEALS MONEY
