Recently several long standing employees were let go due to budgeting, including some that were close to retirement. The company has hired more needless executives, and built a completely new building instead of putting their money on expanding already in use buildings. The money is there but they don't know how to properly plan its use. They won't hire new people for the expansion into the new building, instead the executives keep their high pay and stretch the little guys thin. When they do hire, they pay new hires more than technicians that have been there for years. There is low morale and unrest, and what do they do? They send an email explaining why there won't be bonuses or why the need for a company party would have been an injustice if not held. The execs have their heads in the clouds and claim they want to know what goes on in a normal technicians day but they don't really care.
As others have said a lot of management can be very toxic as well. Anyone who seems pleased with the work is probably management or executives that get paid to work from home. They share emails about the fun committee for more of an hourly wage than those actually working on donated tissues and gifts. 

Executives are a joke. Most of management is a joke. 

MTF Biologics has become a revolving door of employees. Many workers recently were mass-hired so there’s a large amount of new workers on every shift, some of whom have already quit (it is very apparent that they are panic-hiring). This is because many workers, mainly Processors and an entire QA Team, all quit in quick succession due to many different variables. A toxic work environment where lazy employees get defended and praised, poor pay rates for legacy workers, extremely disconnected Upper Management that plays favorites and will sweep issues under the rug, etc. are just some of the problems here. Last year, the company was doing so poorly that we didn’t receive raises or bonuses, and many workers who were on the verge of retiring were fired. The company recently introduced some overtime and training incentives in a feeble attempt to “listen” to us, but the incentives they introduced are incredibly difficult to obtain. We keep thinking “it can’t possibly get any worse” and it usually does.

I would go to work feeling good because I felt like I was helping people get some of their life back. I would always respect the gift that someone gave and use it to the best of my knowledge. We would be included in a lot of decisions on ways to make our job better and more efficient. You learned how to work as a team player to get everything done. It was always a challenge to get what we needed to done for the day but when you have a great team to manage and are willing to work with you to get everything done it makes it easier. Even when everything did not get completed due to unforeseen problems management would let you know we did a good job getting what we did do done. They always tried to let us know they appreciated everything we do by either telling us or giving us a free meal and individual acknowledgements. I learned a lot from working with the team that I had.

A typical day is challenging and busy.  Multiple projects are ongoing and collaboration with all areas is key to success.

I learned a great deal about the medical device and tissue banking industry from all areas including quality assurance, quality compliance, operations/production and supply chain.

The main focus of the foundation are the needs of the donors, their families and the recipients of the gift of donation.

MTF fosters expanding your knowledge and education and supports your growth if you put in the effort.

Management is friendly, helpful, and supportive. 

The hardest part of the job is time management and balancing the multiple projects.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the family oriented atmosphere and the knowledge that you are making a difference in so many lives.

 The Team Lead/Donor Coordinator is very high stress. You will work nearly every weekend and 2/3 holidays. It’s 24/7 and the schedule is unhealthy at best. Back and forth between 12.5 hr nights and days,  plus on call shifts.  They keep promising it will improve but the turnover is so high we are rarely fully staffed. The managers have been there forever and have “favorites” and will talk badly about employees to others. It’s very toxic.  Tissue donation is a wonderful gift but shouldn’t be forced on people. Managers will listen to and then dissect your conversations with grieving families (to offer tissue donation)and your pay and bonuses are based partly on your ‘consent rate”.   The benefits and retirement are great but zero work life balance.  Be very very careful before accepting this position 

Upper and middle management need to be restructured. I’d say the manager to employee ratio is almost equal. Mid Management harasses hard working employees/assets for petty reasons while singing the praises of Employees operating with the exact same MO as long as they are part of the “click” . IMO this is a good company to work for out of college however, after 2-3 years of building your resume think about applying at other similar companies or you may hurt your career. It would help if managers with people working on-site didn’t work from home as it seems like they’ve grown more out of touch with what’s actually going on within his on-site department or team. 

I can honestly say I loved the work that I did while employed at MTF. However, the management needs some serious evaluation.  You will constantly feel like you are walking on eggshells if you make the most minor of mistakes. I was extremely conflicted about leaving my position, but I could not take the overwhelming anxiety that I felt due to the management we needed to deal with on a daily basis.  Also, the only way you will succeed (at least in the department I was in) was not based on your work ethic or skills, but on your friendship with your boss.  I have seen people succeed in this company that couldn't even handle the job they were hired for.  It's extremely frustrating.  This job is basically good if you have no experience at all and you need to get your foot in the door.

I would like to share with you my very honest and factual experience of working at this company.
They don't believe in professionalism or any qualification or any respect to their workers and just pulling employees of the streets to work with them.
In general, all the mangers are being fed like how to take more and more work of the existing human resource and that's why employees are being treated as robots-to work non-stop. I also saw few managers being very unfair in distribution of work and especially the QA Supervisor is an extremely biased woman and very much negative minded and of jealous nature.
In general, if you cant find any job, then some thing is better than nothing, otherwise if you are qualified and graduated, better to look for other companies. All the best

Been at MTF for over 8 years.
Its a very different company than when I started, over all the mood has changed, something from open and logical to corporate and illogical. Process operations management needs to start focusing on good employees and stop the non-sense about (I quote) Lion-Mode. You would think the company is union in how it keeps hold of employees, even if they are are terrible fit, will keep them for years - telling the good employees just to trust them. 
From what I can see (Been in the core to the outside), MTF likes to have projects and that's it. Never about the end result just about the process, just doesn't make any sense. How about we measure the ROI? (Also, drop poms already).
Bonuses twice a year, single if your salaried. Very good benefits (medical). 6% matching 401k.

Good lunch options, The communication lacks through out the entire company, Poor leading from management , every meeting seems to be something negative or adds more work to our job . Not much room for advancement unless you know somebody. Seems like they only care about making production and management is on your back about every move you make. They don't  tell you until your in orientation that they have a mandatory "shut down" twice a year and if you work inside the core , you need to save your own PTO days that you worked for ; for the shut down. So for the whole year you only have about 10 days of PTO. Okay company if you don't work inside the core.
