The training is thorough until they have updates about visits, the compensation isn't very good, they deduct 25 miles off automatically from each assignment then if you have a huge grocery chain the compensation is the same as a mom n pop convenience store 🤔. It is quite a bit of work not too mention if you pay monthly for Microsoft just to complete your assignments plus all the wear and tear on your vehicle. The compensation should be hourly not per store and the mileage shouldn't be deducted. It's a decent job, inconsistent from one week to the next and they say there is advancement of you meet all the requirements and stay above 90% on your store reports. Not too mention you are responsible for printing all paperwork, which isn't cheap either. For extra income only, but you must be available sporadically. 

I joined the MSG community approximately 2 years ago, therefore, my tenure may not be as long as other staff members. Leadership takes the time to meet to discuss action items, review risks, and develop process improvements. The company actually has functioning departments that support the project needs. More importantly, the company culture is practiced when making business decisions. The business decisions are not driven by financial greed or unethical values. We encounter challenges, but we work collaboratively to overcome and come out stronger at the end. I will say this is a night and day difference from some of the other firms I've worked with. Most enjoyable part of is the trust to perform my job, voice my concerns, and work with the project team. 

As a Store Reviewer, it a very part-time job. The work available can vary greatly from week to week. You might not even know if you will be working day to day. Having said that, I do like the job and the challenges it brings. 

There is limited training provided, but the staff is responsive when you have questions or concerns.  It does require some communication skills because you will be working directly with store employees and owners for every visit. 

I would recommend this job for anyone who enjoys travelling around their area and getting to know business owners in the community. It is a rewarding job knowing you are helping people in need that rely on SNAP benefits.


What is the best part of working at the company?
As a reviewer in California it’s very flexible schedule and the work is not difficult. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work is not consistent.  Assignment are given when they are in my territory. I may work 15-25 hours one week and 0 hours the next week. But I don’t mind this type of work schedule. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I work remotely so it is not stressful and my managers are wonderful to work with. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Accept the assignments, print up work orders and store work sheets, visit the stores and audit the inventory, take photos.  Return to home office to upload information to servers.

Stating that earnings are $55 to $220 per day is very misleading, this is more like MONTHLY.  Management continually contradicts themselves, gives one directive on the phone and a different directive in email.  Would recommend staying away from this gig unless you have no other means of income.  The time required to drive out to the SNAP Retail Location, take pictures, complete the survey form, and then upload all of this information to the website works out to be about $5 per hour, not kidding in the least bit on that.  Beware of what you are getting in to.  Area Managers are very inexperienced in their roles and don't answer phone calls.

Training is Not Paid, Monthly update call is Unpaid, 2nd trip for photos Is UNPAID. Basically you are paid a flat fee for each store you go to. Every thing you need so you can do this job correctly is UNPAID time.  Management does not care about the Store Reviewers. They will tell you one thing but do another. Ask questions and you will get a canned rehearsed answer. There are NO benefits, you are not even guaranteed work each week. They will tell you what you want to hear to string you along but not follow through. 

Since I have a few other part time jobs, working for MSG as a store reviewer fits into my life and my work schedule really well.
I can decide how far to travel to an assignment and really enjoy seeing parts of my city I wouldn’t have normally visited without MSG assignments.

This company provides excellent support to the team members and expects professional representation out in the field.  I highly recommend this company and project to someone looking for an opportunity to add additional money to your family.  The assignments are flexible and give you time to accomplish them that fits your schedule.  I give the administrators a thumbs up.
