Working at MANSCAPED blends professionalism with a unique vibe different from my past experience in corporate america. Our remote work environment fosters individual accountability while encouraging team collaboration. Adapting to a fully virtual setup is still a work in progress, and we're constantly looking for ways to improve our processes and communication.

One aspect that works well is our individual team standups. These quick, focused meetings are great for hearing about progress on various projects and keeping everyone aligned. It's an efficient way to stay connected and informed without overloading on meetings although you will still hear that being a work in progress in retros :)

MANSCAPED's standout feature is its culture of transparency. Leadership provides comprehensive updates during company-wide meetings, which builds trust and engagement among employees. This open communication style significantly contributes to our sense of belonging and motivation and answering the "why" many times.

Personally, managing a distributed team comes with its complexities, despite our tech tools. Coordinating across time zones and ensuring consistent communication is an ongoing challenge, but it also drives innovation in our management practices. We're continuously exploring new ways to streamline our workflows and keep the team connected.

One of the most rewarding aspects of working here is being associated with a brand known for its distinctive identity. Our marketing strategies and product approach set us apart in the market (Do a search for the boys by manscaped) , making our work both challenging and fulfilling.

An experience during my first week really drove home the impact of our brand. While at the bank sorting out some new job paperwork, the banker assisting me noticed MANSCAPED on my application. He immediately became animated, enthusiastically sharing his positive experiences with our products. He went into detail about how our trimmers had improved his grooming routine, all unprompted and in a professional setting.

This encounter was amusing but resonated well. It showed the broad appeal of our products and the strong connection customers have with our brand. As a new employee, it was both affirming and motivating to see such genuine enthusiasm from a customer

Start work touching base with my team, aligning on the main task for the day/week.  We plan out the workload/ next steps and divide and execute.  I then look at my to-do list and other goals and plan or execute on those, reviewing contracts, budgets, schedules for productions etc.  I find the focussed time I need between meetings.  Depending on the volume and phase of work I may have a many in person meetings and review sessions, or I may have more focussed time to plan upcoming projects. The Senior management at Manscaped is very thoughtful and supportive when questions arise, I feel comfortable going directly to them for direction. I have learned a good deal about effective time and resource management from my managers.  The culture at Manscaped is inclusive, friendly, supportive, one of hard work and dedication, and overall positivity.  We win together and we are humble and support teamwork and partnerships.  
The most enjoyable part of my job is the entire creative process, I enjoy learning about the upcoming campaign needs and then working with the team to deliver content that hits the mark, I enjoy the entire process of development through delivery of content.  I enjoy seeing the entire team's hard work broadcast everywhere from Digital to TV to Billboards worldwide. 

Come join us! Sharing this experience as someone who worked many years at high-tech companies like HP, and I've loved it here, immediately from my early days, for the last 2.5 years. Not a day goes by that I miss working at corporate large companies! What we don't have here, such as fancy game rooms or fitness center, we're made up with competitive good pays, health benefits, PTO's, Take-care days, off Bday, and flexible hybrid working environment. 

 Manscaped has grown steadily fast and bigger over the short years. Consistently hiring, with some measure. At Manscaped, employees shouldn't have to worry about lay-off's, like our friends are still experiencing at those large corps.  Our friendly cultures are easy to fit in and adapt. My role and responsibility are to support multiple executive leaders. And, I've never had to feel that it's difficult to balance my work, my dedication with my personal life.  Evenings and weekends are spared. On the other hand, we're working in a time that can also rely on apps. What an advantage!  It also takes experience to know how to work best. I trust the  executive management in making their best decisions in interests of the company and its employees.  Hope this helps those who're struggling to find a good next career. 

I have been incredibly impressed with how MANSCAPED’s leadership handles unwelcome but necessary pivots.

They have been transparent with us  (when appropriate)  and have shown creativity and thoughtfulness in their solutions.  It’s clear that a lot of care goes into balancing both the financial and human aspects for every decision.

I’m grateful to be part of a team that prioritizes compassion AND logic, even when faced with difficult choices. It also says so much about our leadership that they factored themselves into the sacrifices, at times taking even bigger ones than the rest of us to ensure we can move forward together as an organization.

I’m proud to work for a company that keeps its people at the center of its decisions and Im excited to see (and be a part of) whats next for MANSCAPED.

The benefits offered to employers are always being improved upon, based on employee feedback.  I will echo what was shared in an All Hands meeting this week from another employee - this is honestly the best place I've ever worked.

Since I've joined the MANSCAPED team, there have been so many great opportunities for me to grow professionally and evolve in my career. Management takes input to heart and sees their employees as people, not a number or job function. The company culture allows for an enjoyable atmosphere and collaborating witin and with other teams is fun. Highlighting that taking PTO is encouraged, flexibility is there to tend to family and having a work-life balance. It's a rewarding journey growing with the company as MANSCAPED evolves beyond being a Start-Up, into a global company. 

Not really a Con, more a WIP: with growth, it's natural certain processes need to be rethought and optimized. They also listened and introduced 401k matching - it's limited, but before there was none so that was a great addition to the benefits


TL; DR: The people were great on a personal level, but as a business they were lacking. If you’re in engineering; don’t bother; you’d have better luck, and more stability at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. Forward thinking; dead. Standards; dead. Change; dead. Technology; dead. Leadership; non-existent. Everyone operates under constant threat of being laid off the next day (except the “leadership”; they never seem to worry about that). It breeds and fosters this culture of fear and self-preservation, which just feels “icky”. The leadership punishes those which they’ve failed, then blame tariffs, or “misalignments”. If you value your overall health: mental, physical…look elsewhere.

I joined Manscaped because I knew the brand and connected really well with the team. From day one, it was clear that there are talented folks across the company running best-in-class organizations.

I've not been in an environment where there is such a degree of alignment around priorities and a hunger to improve. It was a bit intimidating at first, but I realized that this drive is offset by a very intentional culture to encourage employees. If it sounds like I'm describing my dream scenario, it's because I am.

I moved around a few times in search of an organization with serious growth potential, defined and lucid processes, and a great culture. Manscaped has hit the bull's eye.

-Remote work - Manscaped is super flexible with full-time remote work! Employees are located around the country and there is no pressure to come in-office.
-PTO is great and everyone is very flexible with when you take your PTO - Manscaped offers a lot of PTO. This includes vacation days, sick days, mental health days, your birthday, and a volunteer day. I have never felt like I shouldn't take PTO. In fact, I've been encouraged to take my PTO and have been told it's okay to not check work while I'm on PTO.
-Culture - Everyone at the company is welcoming, willing to help, and motivated. It's really great to be a part of a company where you can count on the people you work with

Working at MANSCAPED has been the joy of my professional life. The amount of experience gained durning my tenure has been higher than any other period in my career. There's always key projects, new initiatives, unique challenges to solve, and rarely ever the "hamster wheel"  feeling.  Being a disruptor brand scaling within a cooperative category is a difficult undertaking. What we have to do is hard, performance expectations are high, but the reward is even higher.

joining Manscaped was a truly refreshing experience! The company values work-life balance, encourages employees to use vacation time (and stay offline), and is flexible when something pops up in life. I feel seen and heard by not only my peers but also my manager and senior leadership. Working remotely can feel lonely, but Manscaped does a great job of bringing the company together. Our event committee plans some amazing virtual & in-person bonding events (virtual cooking classes, sports outings, etc). My mental health has significantly improved since joining the team and feel blessed to be apart of an evergrowing business.
