What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Exuberant amount of paperwork, constant emails, staff calling off and having to either work their shift or find coverage, extreme behaviors getting  "rewarded" 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Each home is different, I only know about mine. Our staff and clients are our family!! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Running appts, scanning paperwork, passing meds, checking QMAR, cooking, cleaning, laundry, answering questions, reassuring and catering to our clients, ordering groceries and household necessities, trying to help clients coexist, taking personal time with each client, talking with certain clients about serving sizes and counting calories and guidance guidance guidance....... And so much more.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The chance to make a difference in an individual’ with special needs day.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Covid was a trying period.  Other then that their is not much stress related with this job.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
To be as expected in a cilia residence. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities with their daily  living activities . I’m also certified with the state of Illinois as an ADSP. I am  tasked with administering daily medications to individuals.

I have enjoyed working with the company.  The best part is working with individuals!!  The work can be rewarding and you can always learn from them. Schedule can be tailored to your needs if you are in school, etc.  My biggest issue has been communication and lack of training or redirection. Instead of addressing concerns at the appropriate time, they wait until later. They tend to listen to hearsay which is concerning, especially if you want to grow within the company because it can hold you back.  Overall, it is a good company!

office management is discriminatory, are more worried about where they're going for lunch on the company card than fixing actual problems, effective communication is scarce, and the office management seems to participate in pornography that was passed along to employees by accident which leads to my next point of theyre unprofessional quite often.
I worked for this company for just shy of 2 years, but with everything good there is equal bad.

I love the residents here but you'll start to run into the issue of management lacking on their part of the job, making it extremely difficult as a DSP to do our required parts and the lack of communication is god awful! You could come in and no one would tell you that you have a resident leaving at 8 in the morning until its 8 in the morning and you have a family member there to pick up a resident thats already left on the day program bus.

Not the best place to work. But you can make money. Don’t tell nobody your business. Go to work and get your check and go home. Management is messy they sit up and talk about each other, don’t tell anyone your private problems.  They are understaffed majority of the time, the workers are messy to they all act like they in high school. The hardest part of the job is being understaffed and underpaid. You can make good check but you have to put in extra work. I do enjoy the residents they are part of the reason why you stick around so long. 

Clients are great. It's the fact there is no real health insurance or benefits package. The health insurance has no doctors in the area and they can't even find the company in the system to add them. No dental. No vision. The pay is lower than other local companies by a significant amount that also offer proper health benefits. This a decent company overall but they really need to work on raising the pay and adding good health insurance options.  

I worked for this company while in college. They worked very well with my school hours, while still giving me work hours. It's a hit and miss with co workers, as is every job. I loved all the clients, they inspired me to do and be better! The work load is easy compared to other facilities I have worked in, and someone is always there with you to help. I really enjoyed working for this company.  Easy interview process as well! 

Overall it's a great place to work for. They work with you on scheduling, especially if you have children. The boss gives out a Christmas bonus plus a couple others (sometimes) as well as tickets to different events or activities just to show his appreciation. The clients are amazing and will make you feel like you matter in this field.

There are a couple of good staff and the clients are great and deserve better. Other than that the administrators and upper management set the tone for the rest of the staff that don’t care. With so many options doing this type of work in this area I would suggest looking at a different employer.
