I rarely leave reviews, but this was honestly one of the worst jobs I've ever had. I was excited to join the project and hoped it would be a great work-from-home opportunity, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

Communication was almost nonexistent. Schedules would change at the last minute with little to no notice, and it was difficult to get answers when you needed help. However, if management believed you made a mistake, they were quick to criticize and belittle employees rather than provide guidance or support.

The pay was low considering the amount of work and responsibilities expected. It often felt like the position I was hired for was not the position I ended up doing. Additional responsibilities were added without proper training or preparation. In fact, training was practically nonexistent, and employees were expected to figure things out on their own.

The systems and equipment were also unreliable, making it even harder to perform the job effectively. Technical issues were a constant problem, yet instead of helping employees troubleshoot or resolve those issues, management often jumped straight to accusations. There were frequent threats of termination and accusations of call avoidance whenever system problems occurred. Rather than investigating whether the equipment or software was causing the issue, employees were made to feel as though they were intentionally avoiding work. It was frustrating to be blamed for problems caused by the company's own systems and equipment.

To make matters worse, I received a write-up during my first month of employment while I was still trying to navigate inadequate training, unclear expectations, and ongoing system issues. Rather than offering support or helping employees succeed, management seemed more focused on criticism than coaching. This created a negative work environment and demonstrated a lack of accountability from leadership.

I didn't even make it to 90 days before deciding to resign because the environment had become so frustrating and stressful. What disappointed me most was that I genuinely wanted this opportunity to work out. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, poor training, constant schedule changes, low pay, unreliable systems, ongoing threats of termination, and lack of support made it an exhausting experience.

I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional, supportive, or well-organized workplace.

I am writing this review to share my honest feedback about my time working at MCI over the past 9 months. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this job to anyone considering employment with the company.

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge that the staff at MCI is generally pleasant and helpful. They are always available to lend a hand, to the best of their abilities. However, when I carefully evaluated the overall experience, taking into account the challenges I faced versus the compensation provided, I found it to be an unfavorable situation.

One of the major drawbacks of working at MCI is the nature of customer interactions. Dealing with unpleasant customers on a daily basis can be mentally draining. Not only are you required to act as a customer service agent, but also as a salesperson, accountant, and even a therapist, all while earning a mere $10 to $14 per hour. The workload and responsibilities far outweigh the compensation provided, leading to a sense of undervaluation.

Additionally, the limited number of holidays off and the difficulty in taking vacations further diminishes the overall appeal of working at MCI. If you desire time off for personal reasons or to recharge, it often requires overexerting yourself and meticulously planning ahead. This lack of flexibility can be frustrating and detrimental to one's work-life balance.

While MCI may serve as a decent option for individuals seeking to earn some money in the short term, I strongly believe it falls short of being a great place to work.

In conclusion, my personal experience at MCI has left me dissatisfied and disillusioned. The combination of low wages, demanding customer interactions, and limited time off make it difficult for me to recommend this job to others. I encourage anyone considering employment at MCI to carefully weigh their options and consider the potential impact on their well-being and job satisfaction.

This is a good place to gain experience if unfamiliar with a sales environment. I was hired immediately without experience in sales. This is one of the rare jobs that will instantly hire without experience. Allot of call center jobs out there aren't easy to get your foot in the door,because experience is required. My advice for those seeking to learn, and pursue a career in sales this is a great place to start! You will meet allot of helpful people both staff, and employees who are more than willing to share their knowledge with you. Absorb all you can like a sponge! My day usually started out with pre shift meetings. You will be assigned a team leader/supervisor. Get used to being moved around frequently as far as seating goes. When I was there you sat in the area where your supervisor was present. Sales campaigns changed frequently. Some days you were so busy on the phones you were lucky if you had a chance to breathe. Other times when the campaigns started losing leads it was very boring. If it's too slow often we were put in extensive training until leads could either be reset or their was a glitch in the system that had to be fixed. I had some fun co workers! Sense of humor will take you a long way in a call center environment with co workers. Management was alright. I had a great team leader who was very encouraging!! Hardest part of the job is to learn tolerance if you're seated next to someone who has hyper issues non stop physically, including the mouth big time!!! Eventually you have no choice except to learn to let co worker annoyances not bother you. On this job I learned some skills I never had before.

I'm enjoying this job so far. Hours are great and they listen to your input when making your schedule. The issues are the upper management does not communicate well with the team leads, so it is sometimes difficult to get a question answered that no one knows the answer to. The other major issue I'm seeing is with paychecks. There were people in my training class that started on the same day as me, same training days and all that. When it was time for our first checks(only had a few days of us training) some people on our team did not receive a paycheck. It took 2 days for them to be told 'they weren't getting checks this week because their original stat date had been moved up so they could be in our training class, so that somehow made them a week behind in pay? That makes zero sense and I really am hoping this issue gets addressed and fixed asap. So many people quit in the first week you would think the company would be trying extra hard to make the (very small) number of remaining agents happy, and make sure they get paychecks out to everyone,on time, without making agents feel like they have to beg for their money. If this isn't fixed for my teammates by our next check I think I might start looking for another job. People come to work for money. That would be the one thing a company makes extra sure they don't mess that up, when you mess it up and act like you don't care, it makes the employees feel unwanted and they have no reason to stay! 

First of all, you don't make $14.50 p/hr unless you can meet their goals for incentives which is doubtful unless you can navigate through their convoluted, ever changing incentive programs. You make $10.10 p/hr and probably will for a long time unless your a real quick learner or have worked there before. Although the trainer I had was great, you don't get enough time to learn the job. You get 1 week for product knowledge, 1 week to learn all of their "systems" which are basically work arounds because they are just vendors for AT&T and can't use a lot of the proprietary AT&T systems. You are sent out to the sales floor at week 3 to sink or swim basically. There are supervisors around to help  but it takes forever to get someone to help you because there are so many other people ahead of you trying to get help too. It seems to me that they are playing a numbers game with the understanding that  most will drop out quickly but a few will stick around and stay with them a while. Given enough time I think you could make OK money with this company but it would take time.The thing that bothered me the most was the boiler room feel of the place with supervisors constantly sending messages to people to get back on the phones or yelling about it. They would also yell and clap when a person made a sale which is fine but I would just rather have it listed on my stats.All that being said,you may very well like that sort of thing so have at it.I just couldn't do it after 3 weeks and left. Good luck cause your going to need it.

You will be held accountable for mgmt mistakes, standards and loan policies change weekly, there is LITTLE TO NO TRAINING that helps and NO training on updates, NO raises and NO upward movement available. Get ready because you sit and take on average 20-80 calls a day, depending on how many agents they retained or bothered to log into the phones as required while no one else works! Your time will be micromanaged, your bonus impossible to acquire, PTO is essentially nonexistent and there are double standards everywhere: from loan policy to dress code! Everything you are told is either incorrect or will be in a few days, no structure for new agents to depend on after “training”. You will be expected to be dropped on the phones virtually no training and given 6 chances a month not to mess up. They will count the amount of seconds you sit in Not Ready. They will change your schedule to night hours and weekends with no warning. This job sucks your happiness and life from you, slowly but surely! The mgmt at this Dallas office are PATHETIC and incapable of correctly running a business, let alone office basics. I would NEVER wish this job on my WORST ENEMY!!!!! There is a large mgmt team that do not communicate or do their jobs correctly and are GUARANTEED to distract you from the job they hired you for to do their work for them, because they're 1000% incapable of doing their own jobs, if they ever did. ALSO getting your paychecks might prove to be what they call "a bump in the road" meaning they might FORGET TO PAY YOU. I would prefer to push red-hot thumbtacks into my index fingernail for the rest of my existence than ever have to go back!

Not the most glamorous job in the world, but what job is? The Coworkers are amazing and its such a fun place to work! Where else do you have the opportunity to cheer for people, listen to music and have friendly competition!? Its like working at a football game, and who has ever frowned when their team made a touch down? The commission is awesome here, I make equivalent to having a part time job from my commission alone then add my base wage! Benefits are average, nothing extraordinary, but I have seen a lot worse! The best part about this job is the skills it teaches you to carry over into every day life. I am a more confident speaker and comfortable expressing my opinions. The hardest part about the job is making yourself think like a salesman, especially if you have no prior sales experience but it comes with time. I love my job and hope to advance with the company. Every level of management is wonderful, our operations manager sings and cheers with us, and will ask how your day is going. The owners are giving us stock contracts and will personally visit each site! I have never seen that in a corporation! This place can easily be a career as long as you put in the effort. I love it, they give you all the tools you need to be successful. You work with you team, however you can be independent on the phone which I really enjoy! Best place to work in the northern hills.

Now I'm not a negative person. In fact, I'm the most positive person I know, but this place? DON'T work here, its a black hole. An endless put to crawl out of. They switched campaign's, and almost ALL of the time its outbound calls. Often even dry cold calls, that's right. They try to be low key and go around ways of paying you everything earned, making your commission is next to impossible, the place was sometimes always dirty so thankfully someone is hired for cleaning probably now. Just please don't waste your time, its just like a fast food place in the way that it is ONLY temporary for you to be there. That place is a footstool until you can reach something better. Management doges your questions and they try to *aim* you, sugarcoating things to make it sound better, yet never truly answering your question. Aiming. Aside from all of that, at least the hours are manageable. So eh, that's all. That job is good for the management, but don't allow yourself to become an agent there. Don't put yourself through the torture. Also no, you don't get 14.50, or anything near 14 an hour, that is also a lie and it needs to stop. This company is all over the place because they are so false. Mass Markets was incredible UNTIL they switched district site managers.

I really thought that I could grow with this company, work life balance was great and I was able to pick a schedule that was suitable for me. Made permanent after 3 months and that’s when things changed. This is a company that takes on different contracts so when I was assigned my 2nd contract role they threatened employees every day that we would be fired. Training was the worst I’ve ever seen, trainers were incompetent and things were always in a disarray. The supervisors never knew what was going on and if you had a question they would never respond back. HR is non existent there is no one to get in touch with in that department and when leaving a message no one calls or emails you back. Me and a about 100 employees were told that we would be put on a new contract when our last contract suddenly  ended, was told to pick dates and times that would be beneficial to us and we kept getting the run around when it was time for training. No updates and then mci stopped responding to us, forcing us into unemployment without a word from them. Now I’m trying to get in touch with HR again for my unemployment form to be filled out and I can’t get anyone to contact me back. This is not the company that can be trusted. If you are looking for something temporary then yes by all means work for them. But they have no empathy for people at all. We have families and they just left us out in the cold.  

This company works best for those who are flexible or just need a temporary position. There are benefits but the con is poor communication from MCI. They have left me hanging a few times. (This job has multiple temporary positions) If one of the positions ends you will just pretty much not have a job and there will be no one you can really contact. There can be an improvement on this. Some positions are subject to end abruptly and there may be a gap between the next one. So this job works best for people who are not very dependent on stability because there is a lot of change and maybe a gap in pay which can be hard to deal with. It is also VERY easy to get hired because it seems like they need as many people as possible for some positions. The pros are that most positions are flexible in their schedule, it comes with benefits, the supervisors are usually easy-going, and the customer service jobs are not difficult. Another con is the very poor communication from MCI. However, I enjoy the ease of the positions I've worked in so far. Working remotely is pretty great. Whether this job is compatible for you completely depends on you as an individual and your individual needs.
