This was a terrible job that promised good pay which you won't get. yes you will be told you will get scheduled and paid 34 to 37 hours, but what you won't be told is that often appointments cancel or no show which you will not get paid for, and they won't be able to put a replacement on your schedule. most weeks I was lucky if I averaged 30 hours and that was only if I picked u a Saturday and worked 6 days per week. if I wasn't able to get 30 hours in 6 days, I would have to use my PTO time to make up the remainder because I had to work a minimum 30 hours to get health care through medscribe. Don't count on your bonus. I was supposed to get a bonus at 6 months. I stayed at company for over 6 months and they refused to give me the bonus owed because they said I wasn't on the payroll anymore even though I was there for over 6 months and was eligible for payout. you are just a number at this job. all they want is you to push out assessment after assessment. There is no teaching involved and really no nursing skills. it's a very unfullfilling job unless you like asking the sane questions Ober and over like you are on a factory line. you will loose all nursing skills working at this job. I was hired by medscribe for a certain amount of hours and assessments, then the state decided they were going to pay less for each assessment so I was stuck doing more work for less money and they didn't care. Maximus only cares about how much money they cam make from you and will find every way to screw you. you will not be appreciated in this job and will be taken advantage of. promises will be made and they will change the promises on a whim and there is nothing you can do about it. The benefits are terrible also. think long and hard before taking this job because you will kot make the money they say. everywhere people no show or they can't get on computer and you don't get paid for that. there were days I sat in front of my computer for 8 hours and only got paid for 4.5 hours if I was lucky. 

Med-Scribe hired me to work under the company Maximus. So, this review will mostly reflect Maximus more accurately. Med-Scribe were always professional, and listened to the employees’ concerns. The flexibility of the job drastically changed over the short time of being there. It’s very time consuming and not at all what was explained to me when I was interviewed  by Maximus staff. I appreciate Med-Scribe staff being patient and understanding with all of our concerns, I just don’t think there was much they could do about it; including at least raising the pay to reflect the increasing workload. The job itself is rewarding as you get to work closely with families and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy. Best part about Maximus is having a supervisor that hears your concerns and will work with you if you become overwhelmed. The technology and technical part of the job is currently changing which is a great help with the time consuming part of this job! Entering notes, scheduling, conducting assessments takes up a lot of time! I’m hoping this continues to improve the employees’ experiences, making the job more doable in an 8 hour span! 

The process of onboarding was lengthy in comparison to most other jobs but straight forward and thorough. Med-scribe remained in touch the entire way through the process and even after starting my new role with contracted company. They were very quick to resolve any issues that arose and are very pleasant to work with. The actual company contracted with were supportive as well and had thorough training. Because of the ongoing changes, the contracted company provides frequent updates with all changes. Things to be mindful of: you may have cancellations in cases that may affect your pay (you can request replacement to prevent change in weekly pay), you may have to sign a non-compete disclosure and exclusively work with the contracted company. The great: supportive staff, flexible schedule, low stress and fulfilling (if you enjoy Telehealth/driving, typing, adjusting quickly to changes, troubleshooting, have great customer service skills and enjoy interacting with others). What can improve: average benefits, cost of parking in the city/lack of gas mileage (included in paycheck, but quickly adds up). Overall, even the cons aren’t much and are acceptable. Love my career here and find it most fulfilling.

This is a perfect position for a skilled nurse looking to have a set schedule with evenings/weekends/holidays off.  Strong communication skills,  with the ability to be flexible and adapt to different environments, are necessary for this role. 

I enjoy working for Med-Scribe, the management is supportive and responsive.  The onboarding process was easy and efficient.  The  ability to complete necessary trainings and documentation remotely is very convenient.  My position is essentially ‘remote’ as I travel to different locations.  I am  included in office incentives and communications- so I do feel connected.  All of my interactions with Medscribe are positive and professional.  

The hardest part is not having preference or say in where you are scheduled.  The upside to this is knowing (at some point) you will return to office(s) you mesh well with, or to the contrary- knowing the location is temporary- not all offices are the are the same (you need to be flexible and adaptable to be successful) 

I enjoy working in different environments, in a ‘helper’ role.  My work is very satisfying and meaningful.  I am happy to be a part of this team. 

A typical day at work is reviewing medical appeals remotely from various states across the US.  As an attorney and medical scientist, I have learned to work outside the litigation context in a medical and policy environment.  Management at Med-Scribe is caring about any concerns I have and following up on these concerns to the best of their ability.   Med-Scribe is professional and seeks to represent the interests of their employees to the best of their ability.  The hardest part of the job is dealing with the effects of inconsistencies with quality control of work completed within the company environment where I have been placed by Med-Scribe.  Med-Scribe assists to address this issue to the best of their ability.  The most enjoyable part of my job is working in a medical environment that is non-litigious and remotely for an excellent work life balance.

You have so much opportunity to learn and get your name out there. Learning different offices gets you through the door for a wonderful work life in the medical field!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Here’s the thing working in the medical field is going to be stressful, it’s not just the company.no matter what keep your head level and keep in mind patients need help. We know what we are getting into.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s very warm and helpful company. We are all working towards the same thing to take care of patients.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You are assigned at an office and you are there until of if you are needed else where you travel. You are well known in advance if needing to travel.

I am a current temporary-to-hire employee with MedScribe, Inc. I worked with a few different recruiters while job searching but landed on MedScribe because of its great reputation in the Rochester, NY area. 

Their interviewing process was thorough, taking the time to be sure I would be a good fit for the company while also working to ensure the job placement would be a good fit for me. MedScribe really listened to my needs as a contractor. I was looking for a secretarial position that would be part-time as I am normally a SAHM/homemaker that was looking to re-enter the workforce, but still have time to spend with my family. I also didn't want to travel far as I was only looing for part-time work. They were able to pair me with an office that met all my needs and specifications, but still offered me flexibility, and the ability to pick up more hours if needed. They checked in on a regular basis with both my manager and myself to make sure it was a good fit. I have no complaints. This was a temp-to-hire position, and I'm happy to say that I've been given my official hire date at my contracted position. I would highly recommend MedScribe for anyone who is looking for an agency that will place you with a permanent position.

I was skeptical about a temp agency at first as they approached me to apply for a position, but I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Medscribe is an excellent place to work. They contacted me, explained an opportunity they had available to see if I thought it was the right fit for me. They were always there for me throughout the whole process and I was hired within two weeks, working for a government health insurance company. The Medscribe team works as a unit, making sure that you know they have your best interests at heart.
