Was nervous about starting a new job, after 36 years with the same employer, but people at Medbill made me feel welcome. Trainer greeted me at the door, and took me to my desk that was all prepared. There complete set of office supllies, and computers were ready to go.

The training process starts with learning about the company. This training will help you move into the responsibilities of your job. Training was scheduled and well organized.

My team leader was an excellent trainer. She was patient, and welcomed all questions. Most important, the position and work environment was just as described in the interview process. No surprises there.

HR team was also very welcoming. Team member met with me several times to make sure i understood benefits and company policies. They also had a follow-up after two weeks, to make sure all was going well. This impressed me. 

What has impressed me the most is the open line of communications with all employees. Supervisors, team leads, and HR team keep you informed constantly. Employees are quick to respond to all e-mails.
 
Most important, all staff members are friendly in their communications with you. Also, everyone is always busy with work, and knows their job.

Impressed how training specialist kept in contact with me to make sure all was going well.

There were also some little things too. Was touched by personal welcome messages from team I would be working with. Also, nice size lunchroom. Plus, treats for all employees like donuts, were offered several times in just the first month I worked there. All these little things add up to showing you are not just a badge number, but part of a team.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The remote work opportunity. Nothing else positive.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Fast-paced environment with high client expectations, but limited managerial support. Team leads was not consistently equipped to provide adequate guidance or resolve questions. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Uneven workload distribution placed greater demands on high performers, while support from management and team leads was limited.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involved managing my own workload while also supporting and informally training outsourced staff. Despite these additional responsibilities, management and team leads provided minimal guidance and were not actively involved in onboarding or training new employees.

If you value yourself and your work, don’t work here. Your hard work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. They have no problem continuing to add more work and duties on your plate, but aren’t willing to compensate for it. To get any type of raise here, you must ask for it only to be put on a “performance plan” with unobtainable goals. 6-12 months later, you’ll still be proving you’re worth an extra .25-.50. You’re just a number, crunching numbers. If you are fine with staying in the same position for years, being forced to do more work and to beg for scraps, this is the place for you. There are many better options out there that appreciate their employees, pay them more than 10-12/hr and offer better benefits. The ONLY redeeming factors here are that they offer work from home (since the pandemic) and they are flexible with PTO. Find better.  

I have worked at Medbill for a little over 7 years now and can say it is the best place I have ever worked! When I was younger, my work ethic wasn't the greatest, so I have worked at many different places and positions and I can truthfully say that Medbill has the most knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and down to earth management team I could ever ask for! They are truly interested in you as a person and what works best for you as far as training and job growth / advancement. And the hours are very flexible.  The benefits are great.  My coworkers are very friendly and noone ever says thats not my job if you need help with anything! I would recommend this job to anyone in the medical billing field! 

If you want to work for a company that allows & rewards condescending, rude & unprofessional behavior this is the place for you. Here you will have mass amounts of work piled on you with no help whatsoever. Upper management make the big bucks while you struggle to pay bills. This place would rather hire contractors from Costa Rica, Columbia & Kenya than anyone US based so they can pay them pennies. It's like being in high school honestly!  Most of the upper management talk behind everyone's back & then are nice to your face. Think you can go to HR, think again. They don't care either.

This used to be a great company that is now outsourcing to Costa Rica and Kenya. If you enjoy never receiving recognition or promotions for your hard work, this is the place for you. If you enjoy high school level cattiness that escalates the whole way to the upper tiers of management, cmon in. If you want a stomach ache and severe anxiety before clocking in every day, look no further. If you enjoy being yelled at for asking legitimate questions and bringing up legitimate concerns, Medbill will love to bully you. Please run away from here as fast as you can. They are vampires and will suck you dry.

This company is definitely not the right place if you’re looking for a stable, long-lasting work environment. The turnover is extremely high, mostly because of management’s approach and the overall lack of support. Employees are given huge workloads with little to no help, and raises basically never happen. Meanwhile, teams and certain managers with  little experience seem to move up without any issue.
The environment is stressful, unbalanced, and not set up for long-term success. 

Having come to Medbill wen company I worked for for 36 years was closed. A window closed, but a better window was open to me.

From the beginning found staff and company leadership to be supportive and helpful.

Life and work balance is encouraged by staff and leadership alike.

Communication lines are always open.

Work is constant and busy, which is good. Leadership and company management is appreciative of everyone, no matter what job.

For the first time in my employment history, I am part of a hard working, helpful and supportive team.

Amazing place to work! Such a supportive and positive work environment. Management and HR are always open to our ideas, new processes, and improvement. Everyone is always willing to help. I appreciate that they want you to grow and will give you the training and resources you need to succeed. Here, I don't feel like just a number, I feel valued. 

With any job there’s pros and cons. I think this could be a good company with the right management and training. Sometimes it feels like there’s certain cliques here like you’re back in high school. Sometimes management seems to be partial towards some employees but I guess it depends on who you are. While employed here I saw many people hired and fired. I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder.
