I was recruited by Medical Edge Recruitment to work as a COVID-19 Case Investigator for the local county health department. The position was entirely remote, equipment and tech provided. The position with the contracted organization itself, however, was exceptionally erratic, with routinely unclear and/or contrary direction from middle management. Organizational structure was, as expected, in a perpetual state of infancy, as employees rotated in and out of open positions. Overall, CCNC did the job it was federally contracted to do, with the leadership (at least of contracted, non-traditional middle management) and quality one would expect from an emergency Federal contract.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Medical Edge Recruitment is a great company. I made a lot of money working for one of the nation's most notorious forensic hospitals.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nepotism. Scandals. Stale peanut butter sandwiches with ice chips. Fear. Crime. Hate. Revenge. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It felt like the beginning of a Stephen King book adaptation for real life/ movie going in to work every shift.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Gossip. Threats. Exclusion. The patients were mostly kind and easy assignments. The staff is bitter, jaded and rarely are passionate about mental health work. I knew a few good people there, but many were angry and behaved like petty street thugs.


My personal experience with my recruiter has been great.  She is professional, caring and always attentive to answer any questions you may have.  Very talented at listening to you and able to ease your concerns just by showing she cares.   If I was to ever need services of a recruiting agency, I will definitely reach out to MER. Great communication and being able to pick my schedule!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You receive very little sick time or PTO time. If you are not at work, you do not receive any pay. Struggles come up in life and it would be nice if we accumulated enough sick time and PTO to cover those times of need.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I work at a mental health hospital and it can be a very demanding and stressful work place.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The days go by rather fast due to being busy.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great pay! Wonderful support team! Good contract assignments!

The daily charting of what you do during your shift every hour.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most contact with the company is remote. This assignment I worked with the county and it has been awesome!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work assignment was fairly easy. The company is really professional they pay you for work they expect to be done. That’s work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management were just great kind and patient people. I would recommend this company to anyone.

There were not stressful parts of the job.

The management team do whatever it takes to get you where you need to be. You feel wanted and important.

I was greeted every morning. Made sure I understood all changes for the day.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no best part this company waited until my last day of orientation after I had previously signed a contract came to Colorado was here 2 weeks and decided they were going to drop the rate had I known that I could have invested in another contract with a better payrate 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Im sure that payrate took more than just 2 weeks to make a decision on its stressful having to go into my savings and not being able to profit from this

They are good about explain things about the company and you will make what you agreed upon.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are very polite but they can get pushy when there is something needed for the continue of a job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
don't really know but the people I worked with was nice and helpful.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There when you need them and answer you very prompt.

They have wonderful communication and are available to help and answer questions. They have paid training. They also provide you with a schedule that helps you succeed. They provide great pay and benefits. Great promotions and bonuses. They provide work and home balance. They have bilingual or English only positions. They are very positive and upbeat and I enjoy working for this company.  

Working a contract job through this company is a nightmare. The disorganization is horrendous. Recruiters provide no info after you are hired and the info provided at the time of hiring was mostly incorrect.  No one returns phone calls or emails. I have been here a month and they have changed the way they do payroll twice and I've yet to receive access to my pay stubs. Coworkers working through other staffing agencies have had none of these problems.
