I have had the pleasure of working at Medix Infusion for over a month, and I can confidently say that it has been an exceptional experience. The leadership team here is incredibly supportive and always available to offer guidance and encouragement. They genuinely care about their employees' growth and well-being, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated.

During the interview process they “sell” you on how great the company is: helping patients receive critical care, fast-paced relaxed environment, rapid growth, future opportunities, etc. When in reality it is dysfunctional with a capital D. Leadership is controlling and resistant to change, even though the business growth demands it. Leadership doesn’t communicate with each other let alone staff. The increase in locations/patients adds to the already unrealistic workload which further emphasizes the poor training and processes in place. Turnover is crazy high. You are always training new staff on top of your “normal” work. There is a big difference between a fast-paced, challenging, aggressive but sustainable growth model and a frantic pace to deal with chaotic leadership decisions all while being berated for not doing enough. Hard pass. 

I began working with Medix Infusion in 2021 and I can honestly say  throughout my 10+ years of working in this field, they have the most dynamic and transparent leadership I have ever seen. They really want what is best for their employees and understand that a great patient experience comes with a great employee experience. The executive team, in conjunction with mid-level management and team "ambassadors" are rolling out programs specific to employee engagement and empowerment. I am happy with my decision to work for Medix and feel as though I have a voice and am able to make a difference. I am excited to see Medix Infusion's continued growth and where it will be in the years to come.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible work hours is the best part of working there.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very high turnover rate across all departments.  Staff is cut to a bare minimum.  Scheduling is a constant cluster.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You will work entirely independently, using Teams for all communication with an NP and other departments.  The patients control the ambiance.  They come and go as they please, arrive hours early or hours late for appointments; show up unannounced with all their grievances because they can't get through on the business line; hang around well after the appointment is over; and are demanding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management is terrible with significant mismanagement of resources. They will let you go without cause. Run from this company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with distant micromanaging bosses. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
None. They only care about money. Cherry pick patients and misuse resources. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Emails. Teams meeting. More emails with nothing but pointless clinic updates from people who do not care for patients. If you ask for help, a emailed chart with instructions is sent to you. They do not set the nurse up for success.

What is the best part of working at the company?
New CEO changing the company, turning into a supportive place to work! He listens and talks to us. Supportive work-life balance, hybrid and remote jobs, pay increases and career advancement. Love my manager and working here now. Thank you Medix.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Previous management, but lots of people that were bad are gone and now I have more flexible hours and a pay increase. Fun employee stuff. Nicer and better managers, we're not left to figure out things on our own.  They actually care.

Medix Infusion displayed lack of regard for its employees. Decisions were made without consideration for their impact on staff, leading to widespread dissatisfaction and disengagement. It was clear that profits were prioritized over the happiness and fulfillment of the workforce.
The toxic culture cultivated by these conditions drove talented individuals to seek opportunities elsewhere. The constant turnover became a vicious cycle, as new hires were subjected to the same toxic environment, only to leave shortly thereafter. Additionally, layoffs were frequent, adding to the sense of instability and insecurity.

I did not even get a chance to grow with this company, due to the nurse practitioner that I worked with. The nurse practitioner always complained about having to teach and train me. I was treated unfairly, never once heard on anything that I said, and I felt like a "nobody" with this company. I thought that this company would be better than this, due to how they portrayed themselves in orientation. They put up a big front! I felt alone, and anytime that I asked for help, I felt ignored. HR is a joke, and they do not care about their employees like they proclaim to. This company was pathetic and a waste of time!

What is the best part of working at the company?
I enjoyed learning the IV insertion and the patients 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
To much downtime not ably to get your 40 hours 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I loved my job but they can fire you without any reason no matter how good of an employee you are 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We say anywhere from 1-9 patients a day. I performed the injections, inserted IVs and checked on medication set up the baskets for the IV infusions for the next day daily

You better be prepared to work the it’s from start to finish and everything in between. Lots of change and added responsibilities but no pay raises. 

You just don’t do one thing you do it all from intake to copay assist. Management doesn’t take into account everything that has to be done and when reviewing numbers you can point out where their numbers don’t match the work that is done. 

Oh and management changes on a regular basis so don’t get used to one manager or director. Also they hire a lot of people from out of state so there is that as well.
