Medrina work/life balance is great for a physician. I am a 1099 employee, which means when I work I get paid and when I don't work I don't get paid. This is a good arrangement for me and my family currently. 

I round in the morning and write notes from home in the afternoon. I worked in a hospital setting for 15 years before this job. Sometimes the patient population is quite a bit different than what I was used to in the hospital setting. 

Medrina has employees all over the country. I believe workplace culture can vary regionally which can present a challenge when speaking to management if they are not familiar with your specific facilities and regional behaviors. 

The hardest part of the job is seeing people with socioeconomic status that does not allow them to reach their full potential. 

Everyone at Medrina was accessible, reliable and professional. Great follow-through, accurate representation of the work/pay/work-life balance. Really enjoyed the online training before and appreciated the efforts to smooth transition to working in the Sub-acute environment whether you're straight out of residency or an experience practitioner. I found everyone genuine and sincerely wanting their physicians to be happy. I feel well supported and everyone responds to questions quickly and makes time to speak if anything comes up. There is nothing to compete with the lifestyle - make your own schedule, work when you want. Doesn't get better than that. I have been very impressed with everyone I've met and wish I had started working with them sooner. It seemed too good to be true but it is. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Being able to work remotely is pretty much it. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is no sense of a team environment. The higher ups tend to have huge egos and will look to blame the underlings. It’s very cliquey for being remote work. They supposedly have things “streamlined” , however, they change protocol so often no one can keep up.  Minimal pay for doing the work of 5 people as well. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This company has no culture. They acquire companies left and right and treat you poorly and give you more work than you’re paid for to make you want to leave. They only treat their legacy employees with respect and usually offer all promotions to them. If you are new, you will have no room for growth.

Medrina has been a life changing place to work.  The work/life balance is unparalleled.  The job gives me the flexibility I need to care for my patients and manage my personal life with two small children. I am fairly compensated for my work, and management has been great.

I am trusted to get my work done on my own terms, and I have as much or as little oversight as I need.  My supervising physician is a phenomenal resource, and we have a great relationship. 

I can't say enough good things about Medrina.  I mean this in total sincerity.  I love my job here!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The job in and of itself is flexible. But other than , this is the worst job I’ve ever had in all my years of practice.  If you are a provider, steer clear of the company. They do not value you. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They only care about your numbers. They care about nothing else so the most difficult part of working for Medrina is the leadership they have in place. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Negative, demeaning culture. They don’t praise you for all the good you do for patients.

This is a self-directed role with great support systems. It can be a little tough at first to get your bearings, as there is not a structure for what time or day you are required to see patients. This is the beauty for me as it allows me great flexibility in how and when I get the job done. It is so much easier to manage life and work in this type of format. Best job I've ever had! If the CEO reads this, thank you for the wonderful role with an amazing work/life balance and opportunity for advancement.

Easygoing, self paced, and requires a lot of independence in thinking and planning, carrying out tasks and care plan changes

Medrina offered good benefits, and remote opportunities but that’s where the positives end. The company laid off an entire department, choosing to outsource work or rely on AI to cut costs. This decision disregarded employee loyalty and contributions, leaving remaining staff overburdened and undervalued. Despite the benefits, the lack of job security and poor communication from management make Medrina a difficult place to recommend.

I enjoy working with Medrina. Communication is strong, and the company does a good job keeping providers informed through regular meetings and updates. Leadership is responsive and supportive, and I appreciate that providers are recognized for their work. The culture is collaborative; compensation is fair; and there is a good balance of autonomy and support. Overall, it has been a positive experience. 

Management only cares about productivity and asks for an ungodly number of patients to be seen per day. Patient care takes a back seat to billing. The higher the billing codes you enter, the happier management will be. EMR is clunky at best and no dictation capability. Must rely on bonuses for salary increase. I could go on and on. Worst job I’ve had by far. If you value your mental health, do not work here.
