Worked for about 1.5 years. Room for growth is very limited if working in the assembly department (cleanroom).  Only hired through an agency. When first hired the lead of the group that you're in will constantly speak about your performance with the supervisor of the shift. If by any reason you talk back to your lead you will be put in the red list to be eventually fired within the week. If you do not perform accordingly with the lead's expectations YOU WILL get laid off. This company will focus more on criticizing your areas of improvement over your strengths/skills no matter the effort you seem to put in. When training for the lead position, based on my experience, the main supervisor (manager of the "single-use" assembly department), will determine whether to give you the title as soon as the supervisor of the shift permits it or to make you wait until you satisfy your own supervisor's expectations/standards first. The whole management system is very unfair for people to unlock their true potential due to their poor first impressions. The wage you'll make with the agency will be the same after you become permanent. Only benefits you get after you become permanent is just scrubs (the company's uniform), and 24 hrs of payed vacation time. You will earn about 2.5 hrs of vacation time after the two-week pay period. The company makes it extremely difficult for you to be acknowledged. 

Meissner is a big company, but hasn’t lost its soul like so many others have. The Meissner family, who started the company, and still runs it to this day, truly cares about their employees. They know people are what make a company great. In a day and age where employees tend to be treated like cogs in a machine, Meissner goes out of its way to make sure the employees are properly taken care of, and they have the chance to learn, excel and advance in their careers.

If you are willing to work hard, learn and support your team, you will not only succeed, but you will advance. Nowadays, the name of the game is to constantly find the better opportunity at some other company. Meissner is a place where you will want to plant roots and stay as long as possible.

I can’t speak for all teams at Meissner, but my team is like a family. We truly care for each other and have each other’s backs. Our manager is hands down the best boss I’ve ever had. I look forward to a long career at Meissner and I’m excited to see the great things we will accomplish.

Okay place to work at. People are pretty nice and helpful. The major downfall for this company is that management has been able to stay at their comfortable positions for way too long. The biggest part of management has only ever worked at Meissner, with the Director of Marketing working at the company for around 30 years without ever experiencing the real world out there. Unfortunately, this heavily hinders the company and employee’s growth since management doesn’t know how things are done in other companies, thus not realizing how behind the organization is in terms of leadership and innovation. 

The marketing department makes it insanely hard to do things as the director treats the department as their personal baby instead of a living and breathing part of the organization. They also have this older lady who, although very sweet, she is out of pocket a lot of the time and is also very self centered and not understanding.



The caliber of marketing leadership is, amateur, unknowledgeable and hinders the company as a whole. Don't expect any cutting edge technology, fully formed campaigns or even basic content management systems. The blind lead the blind, and there's no oversight into how departments are run.  Meissner management has repeatedly ignored reports of retaliatory behavior from Marketing leadership, so there's no hope for change in sight. If you're serious about integrity, communication and advancing in a Marketing career - this is not the place for you. Be warned - your skills may actually decay from lack of use.

Working at Meissner Corporation has been an incredibly rewarding experience, both professionally and personally. Over my tenure, I’ve had the privilege to grow within the organization, starting as a Purchasing Coordinator and advancing to my current role as Procurement Manager. As Procurement Manager, I’ve honed my leadership skills by managing and mentoring a team of Procurement Coordinators. I take pride in fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning, hiring and training. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and supportive team and for the role I’ve played in driving the company’s success. 

I have been with Meissner for just a few months and really like it here. Everyone is very friendly and outgoing, it makes for a very nice work environment. My supervisor is very helpful and makes time for me any time I have questions and need assistance, the same for my co-workers, they are very friendly and willing to help me. If you are looking for a job where you can work and be happy for many years, I really recommend you apply at Meissner. I wish I had found this company 10 years ago. They really deserve 10 stars!

If you are someone who is up for challenging, interesting work, there are definitely opportunities for advancement and promotions. Starting salary out of college is below average, however I personally have been able to increase compensation considerably and do not regret choosing this company. 

Work / life balance depends quite a bit on what department you are in. You will learn a lot, but it can be an overwhelming amount of work at times. You definitely need to be willing to jump in, get involved, and identify areas for improvement that are particularly interesting to you. This would not be a good job for someone who just wants to stay in their lane, complete the basic job requirements, and then go home. 

It is such a great time to work for Meissner!  Co-workers smile and say hello in the hallways, there is a gym to workout in (with free weights, resistance equipment, and for cardio, bikes and ellipticals). Recently, they added a café to serve hot lunches, cold sandwiches and salads, and hot dinners to eat in our take out. The company is strong in U.S. manufacturing (California HQ), and they are building a new manufacturing facility in Athens, GA. There are also opportunities to work in Castlebar, Ireland, at the European manufacturing site. They have never had a layoff. These benefits are just some of the ways that the company shows appreciation to the employees.

Each day is dynamic and different. I learn new knowledge daily on new custom components of Single-Use Systems. I have always been supported and given growth opportunities by management. The Meissner culture is the best environment I have ever worked in. Everyone truly cares about producing the best product possible while also caring about each individual worked with daily. It is fast paced which I enjoy but can be tough to keep up with. At the same time you get great satisfaction and feel accomplished at the end of each day!

Meissner employees I have worked with have great attitudes and openly share knowledge. The culture is very open with minimal layers of management, making everybody feel approachable. The company is currently growing very quickly which is exciting but also comes with some growing pains as new systems are developed and deployed. Management is aware of the challenges of rapid growth and providing many new resources for employees along the way. Meissner is focused on quality and I'm proud that our products help make drug production as robust and safe as possible for patients.
