What is the best part of working at the company?
The only and best part of the position is that i was not hired at bottom of the pay scale with the prior experience that I had.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The out right and blatant purposeful belittlement and abuse given to support staff from the professional staff. Professional staff that lack the basic understanding requirements of the requisition process and have little interest in learning in.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
toxic professional staff constant belittlement of support staff. 
Lack of cooperation and communicating in department and between departments.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In the position I was in constant short staff.  First half of your work shift completing task that the shift before flat out ignored. Inconsistent work ethic between shifts that is never addressed.

I was hired on and two days before I started work, they fired me with no actual reasoning. They stated I became unresponsive which was a complete lie. I even offered to show evidence that this was inaccurate, and they did not care. I went two hours away to complete onboarding, finished my online training, had to get pricked three times for a TB result because each test came back bad, and they said it was technician error every single time. I went through all of this just to be told I will not be starting before my first day. I still have the benefits office from memorial asking to set up benefits for my new job. Very unorganized, hiring process is terrible, and they seem to be hectic in the clinical side. Complete waste of time and energy on a company that lies. Very sad but I was actually very interested in working there and felt like I was going to flourished. Very sad company and there is a reason I haven't went there as a patient. 

Terrible management that was very controlling and not supportive. I felt like I stepped back into grade school and was treated like an outsider and micromanaged. The leadership put on a good dog and pony show during orientation but it was all talk.  What was stated publicly was not what was happening behind closed doors and I found this to be a double standard. I can honestly say it was one of the least inclusive or collaborative environments I have ever worked in.  Ideas and suggestions to make improvements were rejected immediately and met with a barrage of excuses as to why it wouldn't work at Memorial. In my opinion there are leaders/managers that have been with the hospital far too long and are not open to change.  I would not recommend working at Memorial simply because they do not treat workers like professionals and seem to be very threatened by new ideas and outsiders.

Many of my coworkers had poor attitudes and lacked professionalism, which contributed to low morale and constant tension in the workplace. The energy in the office was toxic, with frequent conflicts and minimal collaboration. Instead of fostering a supportive atmosphere, management often resorted to micromanaging, which stifled creativity and independence. This not only made daily tasks more difficult but also created an overwhelming sense of pressure. Despite trying to stay positive and productive, it was difficult to thrive in such a discouraging environment. Ultimately, the lack of team spirit, coupled with the constant oversight from management, made it clear that this was not a place where I could grow personally or professionally. Leaving this job was a necessary step for my well-being and future career growth.

Decent hospital to get experience. Team-oriented for the most part. They’re going through what all the other ones are going through right now - Staffing issues, not wanting to give bonus pay but hire travelers, which all lead to poor staff morale. Upper management/HR (who are never bedside, of course) didn’t budge on helping unit manager find staffing. Undergoing a system name change in 2021 so hopefully that doesn’t bring about other poor management changes.

I think people that work there cnas and nurses are awesome. It's hard enough job without a bad manager . The nights were long and stressful. I learned a lot from the awesome nursing staff.  Most of which left our unit.i really enjoyed my job. My manager was very good at first. Then she became not caring attitude towards staffing issues.  I was fired and couldn't prove my insolence. I loved my job and coworkers.  The pay and benefits were nice. We worked very hard on the overnight shift but didn't feel appreciated. 

Working in the different classrooms helping with daily activities, cleaning, manager was friendly at first then became unavailable and not nice. Very strict attendance policy. Orientation was unorganized nobody knew what I was supposed to be doing felt I was ignored a bother. Overwhelmingly big facility lots of rooms and children, lots of rules dress code. Takes a long time to get through the whole application process to job offer.  Some staff mocked religious people. Gossipy. 

The pharmacy department was totally different than any other part of the hospital as far as attitude and management.  There was a strange sense of employees being controlled in a very negative way from the first time I walked in.  Employees are DIScouraged from voicing opinions or making suggestions and if they do, they are written up and told they will be fired.  No one talks much in the department and everyone is working in fear.  Management is afraid someone may see them for what they really are - bullies!

I would suggest this place to woke at if you are support staff but its hard for a nurse. high patient to nurse ratio, can be very stressful and usually understaffed.  Always seems to float staff to other floors and leave you short.  Great doctors to work with.  They like to celebrate a job well done with ice cream social when we really just want a raise or lower prices in cafeteria.  Insurance kinda stinks.  But I like my job and my co workers are awesome.

The work load itself wasn’t bad. On the other hand, the manager picking favorites and being told on like it was elementary school was something else. I couldn’t do much without being made to feel like I was wrong. The nurses and one of the doctors were often condescending, always finding something to pick at. I should not have anxiety attacks almost daily because I have to go to work. The best part of each day was going home at 4:30.
