Working as a Law Enforcement officer is an eye opening experience. I witnessed some very unethical behaviour, and heard innappropriate comments made by those who should be better for the publics sake. I was supervised by several different people who had different priorities, which made adaption difficult. I was treated badly by half the agency as I was not from the area and was not too upset about leaving this employment. Pay was fair, as were benefits.

The job I was hired for was only an extra help position.  These Positions are not steady positions.  Due to the Budget cuts I was let go.  I was told 2 weeks before that I was being let go.  The department that I was in was full of great people and was a good work environment.  But the fact that there is not any type of stability or promise of a continued job.  I really would not recommend any one work for the County as an Extra help you never know when you can be let go.

Everything was great under DPW. Once taken over by CED it went down hill fast and hard. The CEO does not take advice from the employees working in the roll and rather changes the dynamics and does not allow for anyones input to make the office run as smoothly and effortlessly as possible. I was sad to leave I loved my co-workers and my customers. Miss the old days but hoping everything will get better for everyone left there. 

Evening employment, proximity from home to work ideal. Staff was enjoyable and learned much. When opportunities presented to interact with professional individuals at locations I found them to be friendly, helpful and informative.

Heavy nepotism and narcissism. Disorganized. The managers can be vindictive. They also appear to be kept in the dark about decisions above them. 

Behavioral Health seems to be run by people with personality disorders who are unaware of their conditions. 

Cliques rule. It’s unfriendly unless you surrender your dignity.  Gossipy and workplace sabotage. 

The county is great to work for it's the department you get to have to be cautious with. HSA isn't a place I would recommend. Some departments were a great experience, however, others were a nightmare on how management would run things. Overall, the department I started with was amazing but the ending wasn't fair nor did they focus on their employee.

Love it , staff very friendly and management ran the facility in such organized fashion . Wonderful co workers , only downside are the EH positions , you get no real benefits, all part time positions, no holiday pay , no sick hours , no pay time off . Basically if your hired as EH treat it as a stepping stone to get you where you actually need too be .

Job can be stressful at times. You have to know how to put your feelings aside, a great place to learn how to see from other peoples perspectives. This job is not for the faint of heart, but is very rewarding. Hours are flexible and mangers are very understanding. Make sure you make time for you outside of work- burn out is so common

Management good to work for, employees positive, health benefits great but high cost for families, working with the public is positive. Plan on retiring from position. 

I used to enjoy my work. Now, I feel like there are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Where I work people cant wait to leave and they complain about being less- human here. I see so many people exit and new replacing them but they dont last long.
