I started out LOVING this job. Yeah it was a bit physically demanding, and when it gets hot it gets HOT (in the summer it can get up to 96 degrees in the warehouse, there is NO A/C) but I enjoyed it. Everyone seemed friendly and willing to help me learn. 
After a couple of months that completely changed. Everyone is extremely petty. No matter what you do, how nice you are, people WILL talk about you behind your back, and management doesn't care unless it directly affects them. 
Speaking of management, they're some of the most stubborn people I've ever worked with. I wanted to change my schedule at one point so I could get home at a reasonable hour (I lived an hour away at the time), and it was an absolute nightmare that took months of back and forth and fighting. If they hire you for a certain time, you're locked into that time for good. Zero flexibility. If you clock in 30 seconds late, you get in trouble. If you dare to clock out for lunch 30 seconds early, you get in trouble. If you clock out for lunch 30 seconds LATE, you get in trouble. 
The work itself isn't bad, and it can genuinely be enjoyable, but the majority of the people and management made it awful in the last few months I worked there. They do not care about you as a person, they just want you to pump out work nonstop. They'll tell you that they care, and that they don't want to lose anybody, but I've seen several people (managers included!) be fired on the spot or walk out midday due to managements stubbornness. 

The work itself is enjoyable; there's just too much work for so little staff. Each department is always willing to help each other out and teamwork is encouraged and practiced on the ground level.

Leadership gets in their own way by holding constant meetings without effectively communicating with their teams. High employee turnover is caused by toxic leadership, particularly the CFO, and by the CEO's conscious choice to ignore their behavior despite being told about it.

Discourse, complaints, and suggestions are encouraged in theory, but are frequently ignored in practice. Known issues go unaddressed by leadership until it is too late, which leads to a festering resentment from employees who are not listened to. Leadership would rather encourage concerned employees to look elsewhere than accept criticism.

Their wholesome family-friendly atmosphere is a facade disguising dysfunctional behavior and a cult-like desire for blind loyalty. Their inability to practice what they preach is genuinely disappointing.

This company is honestly not the place it used to be. Work/life balance is pretty much gone, and the hybrid schedule that once made things manageable has been taken away. Leadership is inconsistent at best — the CEO changes direction often, and there’s very little accountability when those decisions impact employees.
If you’re a “yes” person who doesn’t question leadership, you’ll probably be fine here. If you’re not, your time may be limited. Raises are another sore spot — they seem to exist for some employees but not others, and it really depends on where you sit in the organization. There’s no consistency or transparency around it, which can be frustrating.
HR is very company-focused and not particularly employee-friendly, so don’t expect much advocacy or support. Overall, morale has taken a hit, and many of the things that once made this a good place to work just aren’t there anymore.

I arrive at 6 am with the manager and the drivers. The manager and I make sure we have all the necessary paperwork for the orders that need to go out.We then load the trucks, making sure this is done in proper order. The rest of my day is spent helping customers picking up orders,unloading containers and putting merchandise away with the forklift.
I've honed my skill on the hi-lo while employed at Merola tile.
I've also learned what it takes to be in a managers position and run the warehouse.
Management is easy to work with. They recognize productive workers.
I  get along with all my co-workers.We joke around to make the pass faster.
Hardest part of the job is waiting for shipping containers to arrive on time so can get to the gym.
est part of the job is coming in early and leaving early. That way i get more time for personal things.

This used to be a fun place with bbq’s and events. We don’t do anything anymore. WH manager can be seen sitting at the main desk with office employees for literal hours just laughing and not working. You stand around for one minute and you get yelled at. They’re constantly coming up with new rules and policies to make us more miserable. Friendship and family feeling that we used to have is long gone. I used to love this place but management has made everything miserable. Pay isn’t even worth it anymore. WH employees average $20-22.50 which is nothing in this economy. Working to death in the heat with high picking quotas for pennies.

New upper management has driven out the fun warm company culture Merola used to be, and created a toxic environment, causing divide against teams, assigning blame instead of being accountable, shows no appreciation towards employees for last minute requests, and doesn’t trust or value their staff. More than half of the marketing team has left within the past year, due to the lack of respect and gaslighting of new management. One person can make a difference, and that person has in every negative way possible. Hands down, the most unprofessional job I’ve ever had.

Very warm and inviting company culture; incredible sense of collaboration between departments-everybody in Manalapan works together to ensure the company's success, and quarterly bonuses are paid to every employee when the company does succeed. Upper management listens to the worker's concerns and actually makes changes based on worker's feedback. Very strong "family" feel; hardest working but happiest people I've ever worked with. People are great, very friendly and company is growing at a very fast pace, so opportunities for advancement abound!

I cherry picked, loaded/unloaded trucks, and packed tile into boxes. This was also the first place I learned how to operate a forklift which is also nice. The management/workplace was absolutely awful. Management alone killed most of the business/motivation for most of the workforce. the hardest part of the job was dealing with the management. The most enjoyable part was working with some great associates who are the backbone of why I stayed working their.  

A typical day at work is very hectic, and feel I'm always on the move. I have learned a lot about the tile industry. Management is great in the way that there always willing to show me things about the industry, but most days the attitudes of management is almost like I'm being looked down on as a person. My co-workers are all great and really fun to be around as a whole. The most enjoyable part of the job is pizza Wednesday. The company buys pizza for all of us.

The company has a strong positive culture.  The base of our culture is our Fundamentals. These are the rules we live and work by.  Everyone from our CEO to the front line staff practices them every day.

We have grown from 40 people in 2016 to over 107 in 2020.  We are growing Ike crazy and everyone received 2 week performance bonus’s this year due to our efforts.  The company also gave an extra week of pay for the Holidays.
