What is the best part of working at the company?
Time goes by fast because you work the entire shift on 3-111

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough techs, the managers are unwilling to accommodate your requests for time off

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture is great for this company. Very clean and organized 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You come in running get report which will be charged already giving you the worst patients if you’re  prn  by the regular staff. Then you count because they won’t meanwhile they have started to review their charts and doing their accu checks to keep you behind. When you’re finally done you start all that and play catch up the rest of the shift . Be off the clock at exactly 8 hours because overtime is not tolerated

There were so many people there with attitudes it wasn't funny. From nurses to CNA staff.Some CNA's acted like they were in charge, and could get away with acting like it. Not uncommon in a long term care facility. They did their rounds & sat around talking the rest of the time,acting irritated if your asked them to do anything.  Discipline was lax and very poor. I saw some therapists sleeping on the job at night. Very few people seemed to enjoy working there. I know many who have left & gone on to something better. Getting to know the residents and how to best help them was about the only enjoyable part of the job, besides the pay. Management was okay at times, terrible at other times. There was racial tension there that I'd only seen in a few other jobs I've worked in and it really interfered with the concept of working as a team. Basically, you either fit in or you didn't, and it didn't take long to find out!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Bad management. High turn over. Just ask around any CNA or nurse knows of their reputation.  Some residents verbally abuse staff. No consequences when they can’t get kicked out on the street and no where will take the patient after looking at their history and I’m not speaking of medical history but their history with all staff. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Pts that are drug seekers and facility allows such. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
High stress!!! Pt are the most medically fragile. Short staffing. 1 shift is adequately staffed but other shifts are not. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Giving lots of meds by G tubes, changing colostomy bags, massive wound care, lots of glucose checks!!!

The facility itself, based on patient care is not bad at all. They have a wonderful therapy program and the work they do for the patients that they serve is amazing! However, the nursing staff is very messy and unprofessional. Management shows favoritism to people they like and know and they treat other nursing staff members as if they don’t matter. No need to report anything because nothing is going to be done about it; especially if the report is coming from a evening or night shift employee. The day shift is the only shift management cares about staffing; the other two shifts continuously works short staffed and no one cares. It’s a bad place to work as a registered nurse. If you are thinking about working here as a registered nurse——don’t waste your time!

I am delighted to be part of this great place, knowing that I am contributing our patients' restoration and quality of life enhancement!

The residents are very limited in mobility. Most are trached and on the ventilator.  There is not enough staff for their care. Employee and resident frustrations are very high. Open use of profanity is common. There are not full time secretaries to answer call lights so the clinical staff has to answer phones, answer call lights, page needed staff to different residents rooms while responding to vent alarms and other urgent needs of the patients.  Along with that comes all the other many duties  that are defined in the job description for nurses, respiratory therapist and CNA’s.  It could be a great place to work if properly staffed. However, the ‘bottom line’ seems to be the top goal.

Being able to provide a meaningful day for the patient

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with co- workers  that don’t really care about the patient.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Long and not friendly coworkers..

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Business office is very beneficial and helpful whenever you need a solution to a problem. They take time to sit down with you to understand the problem and then try to find a solution to the problem that would benefit the team.

The facility provides great care for the clients that need care.  The acuity of patients changed and the patient load did not.  The patients are sicker and requires more care, and management focused on overtime.  That tend to cause more stress for the nurses. Management could use some extra training and more details to acuity during staffing of the unit.  A great learning opportunity for new nurses.

Evaluate and treat patients on a team with pt/ot/slp. Productivity requirements constantly changed, ranging from 6-7 hours of treatment/day. Of course when productivity requirements were lower, more attention was given to the patients and morale was higher. But this day in age, increased productivity seems to be the solution at many hospitals.  

Enjoyed working with the residents....very family oriented.Co-workers are  great..team playing is a must. Managements are okay...advancement on the job is possible. I worked at Methodist Specialty Care which is MMRC- smaller facility....If needed to be I would return.......so good luck and always strive for the best in any situation and you will prevail...
