If I could give this place a 0 then I definitely would. NEVER work at this health care facility no one knows what they are doing and the management treats their employees with no respect. At this point this place is so bad that they hire anyone that is competent, and even then the workflow is disrupted. Furthermore, they do not pay fair to those that go above and beyond their positions there and most of their “good” employees are overworked and fed up. Funny how the employees can barely make a living off of any position there and when needing time off for important matters, it usually is never given. Yet management gets paid salary and can take whatever days off whenever. This place bends and breaks so many violations that are not printed in the employee handbook yet try to hide it from them like thats enough validation. Not only do they break laws but they also make changes to employee benefits without anyones knowledge. This place is constantly getting law suits left and right for their unacceptable treatment, most importantly to their own patients. Not to mention the false advertising like they will help those that can’t afford certain services, if you can’t pay they don’t care and will fire you from being a patient there. So much for patient care at its finest.

A typical day working at Mid-State is fulfilling, energizing, enjoyable and well balanced. There are opportunities to continue education and a plethora of on the job research! Management is always reliable and willing to work with any scenario imaginable. The culture at Mid-State is well rounded and fun; the people you will meet here are like no other! I believe the toughest part of any job position here is having to see patient's in pain and realizing that we may not have a certain available scope of practice for them at their current state of health; but that comes with the territory of working healthcare. That being said, I'm positive we will provide the utmost recommendation and referral to specialty. Lastly, the most enjoyable part of working at Mid-State is the opportunity to create bonds with your patients'. As a clinical provider's office, it's a different type of atmosphere. You have the ability to create a kind of trusting and reliable relationship with each person you meet. That being said, Mid-State is a very rewarding and well balanced place to be; for both patient and employee!

I really enjoy working at Midstate because the management team is incredibly supportive and focused on creating a positive work environment. They actively ensure that employees feel heard and valued, and they provide the resources and guidance needed to succeed in our roles. One of the things I appreciate most is how they handle workplace dynamics—there’s no tolerance for unnecessary drama or conflict between employees. Management sets clear expectations for professionalism and collaboration, which makes it easier for everyone to work together without distractions or tension. This supportive, drama-free culture has made my experience here far more enjoyable and productive, and it's a big reason why I look forward to coming to work every day.

I have been at Mid-State for over two years. I am always grateful for our team made up of hard-working individuals that have one goal in mind: to take care of our patients in the most caring and professional way possible. I'm always impressed by our commitment to that mission. 

Be prepared to work hard here and adapt to change. We are always growing, evolving, and expanding to meet the needs of our patients and the community. There is more than meets the eye at Mid-State in terms of all the services offered. The work environment can be really fun!

Poor management. Toxic work environment. Favoritism.  No consistency. Providers make fun of their patients to other staff members. Confidential information is shared between management and other staff members that are not members of management. There is no such thing as confidentiality. Billing practices may not be entirely compliant.

MSHC is a overall a great place to work. Management and coworkers are friendly and helpful. Pay is ok. Work/life balance is very much respected. Depending on what department you work for, there is some room for advancement.  

There was a strong sense of nepotism. There was little to now room for promotion eventhough you may have the qualifications. There no real reviews of upper management. And staff reviews were typically done late and rushed.

For a potential life or death job there is definitely a lack of training. Shouldn't a medical facility have a training manual for employees to follow standard protocols? Emergency procedures should be taught before emergencies not after. It is a shame that they do not see the reason for the turnaround in employees
