Things have been perfectly fine for FOUR YEARS working completely remote and now they are forcing employees back into the office. That is an hour or more commute each way for many employees, aka TWO extra unpaid hours added to work. Raises are a joke. They constantly need to have meetings that could've been nothing, they didn't even need to be an email. We have scheduled our entire life around work at home hours, and now my spouse will be forced to take on all of the parenting during school vacations, sick days, taking the kids to and from school, which we currently split, my spouse will have no help when sick. I will have to use hours of PTO for doctor, dental, allergist appointments etc instead of doing them on lunch breaks. There's no logical reason to force us back to work. Looking for a new job because they think it's okay to completely change your schedule and ability to take care of your kids for no reason and no increase in pay.  They want to babysit you, they care more about you being at your desk every second no matter if there's work to be done or not. They don't care if you are a highly productive employee who is often solving complex problems, saving them boatloads of money. They want to treat you like a baby and give you a 0.3% increase in pay every year for a stellar review. The raises are offensively pointless. "Promotions" you're lucky if you even get a raise they just want to give you more work and a pizza party. Evil. They continuously sent out surveys where we all told them how much we DONT ever want to have to go back to mandatory office work. They don't care. They never care about our lives. They care about forcing you to go to lunch with your boss... just what everyone wants to spend their only break of the day doing is another meeting with their manager. 

	Communicated effectively with the clients to understand and get information regarding their   Business practice. Involved in requirement gathering and analysis and design of the application.
	Involved in the complete setup of pricing that included price lists, modifiers, qualifiers, profile options, lookups, attribute mapping, etc.
	Defined Transaction Type, Payment terms and Invoicing rule setups and invoice, receipt related setups in AR.
	Developed the PL/SQL Scripts to translate the old Asset Category to new Asset category values that are been setup in the R12 Fixed Assets
	Developed the SQL*Loader script to load the data to staging tables and then to interface tables for Order Import program to import orders. Wrote packages to validate and populate the interface table
	Developed PL/SQL packages to validate legacy data for items conversion with categories in Oracle Inventory (INV) module.
	Customized standard Oracle reports like Suppliers Report, Account Status Report, Account Analysis Report and Backorder Summary Report as per the business requirements.
	Oracle Workflow:
	Developed workflow business events to report the promise date and schedule ship date changes on the orders.
	Customized the PO workflow to send notifications to specific people using adhoc roles.
	Xml Publisher:
	Extensively used XML functions like XMLELEMENT(), XMLFOREST(), XMLAGG()etc. for XML output and integrated with Xml Publisher for better lookup of the reports.
	Designed and Developed Blanket Sales Agreement and Blanket Release Reports using XML Publisher for better lookup.
	Used CONCSUB to invoke and execute the Concurrent Programs from Unix Shell Scripts.
	Developed ad-hoc reports according to user requirements and created custom business views/folders using Discoverer10g

The typical workday went by fairly quick. On days with few phone calls, I was able to focus solely on my work and get well ahead of the pace of incoming work. 

I learned from this job how to communicate policy and defend our departments decision regarding the customer's order or account status. This job strengthened my customer service skills.

Management was very much hands-off. There was no micro-managing. Management was located in a separate part of the building. They pro was that I could focus on my work and stay caught up. However, the con was that it was often hard to contact management (mostly due to meetings on large projects). They more often than not were unable to answer the phone when customers requested to be transferred to them for confirmation of the policies I had advised them of. Overall, the management was polite, friendly, and professional.

The hardest part of the job was working with our own internal customer service representative. The majority of them were not fully trained for their position. This caused a lot of mistakes and unnecessary phone calls that lead to delays in my work. Additionally, multiple customer service representatives were aggressive and threatening in order to make me take phone calls that had nothing to do with my work.

The most enjoyable part of the job was coming into work every day to a get to work with a group of nice, genuine, caring people. They helped me to a better person and I am thankful for that. Additionally, the diversity of people from different backgrounds within the company made the experience unique and humbling.

Every job comes with its share of headaches and each individual's experience is heavily based on perception, having said that, I enjoy this company much more than my former employer. The atmosphere is relatively friendly. As a non-exempt employee I get a small amount of wiggle room when it comes to my schedule. They don't split hairs over 5 minutes or so late which is more than I can say for my last employer.

There have been a number of changes for the better since I was hired 2 years ago. I love the benefits but the compensation leaves something to be desired. Nevertheless I have chosen to stay thus far because I enjoy having the ability to work days and get my weekends and holidays off. Plus there is no expectation to work overtime in my position although it is encouraged at times it has never been required.

My primary complaint is my manager. I just don't like this individual's management style which encourages infighting among our team by asking us to report on each other behind closed doors. It makes for an unpleasant atmosphere of finger pointing and back biting. Also, there is no coherent training program so pretty much only the favored employees get enough training to do the most coveted tasks. Personally I feel like I am working below my abilities and for this reason I have decided to start looking elsewhere. However, were I to get a different manager, better training and/or more task variability  I would likely stay.

I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. This truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other.  I also love that I get to learn new things about the company make for the patients. You have to have a passion for what you do especially when it comes to working.
When you are not happy with your work, your unhappiness and frustration will spill over into all areas of your life. Because it is difficult to compartmentalize unhappiness, all areas of your life will be affected by a negative work experience. I love what I do with love and enthusiasm; when you enjoy what you do, you will get positive outcomes and success in your life. If you are doing work you love, you will want to seek out opportunities for growth. You will want to get better and better. And the more growth and knowledge you gain, the more success will come your way. For managing diversity, good communication skills are even more important; with a mix of cultures, genders, or nationalities on the job it is easy for individuals to accidentally offend each other or misunderstanding a situation, but at Millipore everyone shows respect to each other and also accept other people opinion.

Wouldnt suggest working here if you want job security or expect to be treated fairly. Lots of inappropriate behavior in some departments and management turns the other cheek unless it affects them. Basically as long as the work gets done they let a lot of things slide that wouldnt fly in just about any workplace. They have no problem paying new employees with no job experience more than they pay the people who have been there and just expect word to not get around about it. They offered people bonuses to change shifts to help the company then tried to back out of upholding their end of the bargain. They tell you what you want to hear and will change things on the fly and expect employees to just roll with it. For a clean room environment, at least where i worked, cleaning was hardly done and it was just completely disorganized and unclean all the time. They just want to get you in the door as an able body and if you have issues or try to bring things up it only causes more issues. I feel like people only work at this site because it's the only decent paying place around here and people just need jobs to be honest.

A typical day at work is engaging, with a variety of tasks that are intellectually stimulating and allow me to contribute to meaningful projects. I've learned a lot about the processes involved and have developed new skills, but unfortunately, there haven't been many opportunities for career advancement, despite promises of growth. Management has been somewhat disengaged, with decisions often made without consulting those of us on the ground, which has led to frustration. While the workplace culture is generally positive, with frequent events to boost morale, there is a noticeable disconnect between leadership and staff. The hardest part of the job is the lack of internal promotions and the feeling that our insights and suggestions are overlooked. However, the most enjoyable part of the job is the work itself, the challenges it brings, and the supportive team dynamic, along with the company events that help make the workplace more enjoyable.

Depending on workload I either work as an operator in the bays producing chemicals or type up procedures for upcoming chemical production. As part of writing procedures I have to communicate with several departments, procurement, shipping, billing... So having good communication skills is vital. Some analytical skills are needed in determining reaction completion but most tests are conducted through the quality control or development departments. Management lacks communication from department to department making start dates and starting materials hard to obtain. My co-workers are knowledgeable in the positions and are helpful. Most work is done by yourself but if help is needed someone is available. The hardest part of my job is the schedule, it is a rolling schedule and is very hard on my home life since I have small children at home. At work the schedule is also frustrating because it varies from department to department leaving us at times without support from other departments. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing my procedures produce a quality product with little to any problems.

This was one of the better places that I have worked. The facilities were extremely clean, coworkers were polite and willing to answer any questions I might have had, and the work hours were reasonable with the occasional voluntary overtime. The wage I got was one of the highest around for the kind of work that I did. 

The people who work here says that almost everyone starts off as a contractor and that they will be made permenant eventually within one year. The truth is that when work gets slow, they will lay you off instantly without notice or feedback. I was laid off after just three months. Management will put on rose-tinted glasses on you and pretend to be supportive and that everything is okay, but in truth they lie to you and only confide with their eldest permanants. It seems all the people made permanent here has had history with the company during and before covid. If you came in after, good luck. 

Even though everyone is polite, theres a large amount of cliques, gossip and cattiness among coworkers. 

Your success at MilliporeSigma will largely depend on how lucky you are in your job placement. Some departments and supervisors will lift you up while others will dehumanize you and tear you down. The work is tedious and frustrating, but well paid, and if you're lucky you can receive training on multiple stations to reduce monotony. There are also many different shifts available to work around your schedule. 

I experienced a lot of gossip and targeted bullying from some coworkers, but the majority of the people there were friendly and kind. If you are a minority and experience bullying from your coworkers and/or supervisors I'd advise you to just quit or request a transfer asap before you are forced to quit. Your supervisor has all the power over your success and HR won't do much to help you/investigate the matter if things go bad. Wish I could've stayed longer, but I'll be better off somewhere else!
