This place is horrible and I lasted less than a week. The CFO showed a lot of favoritism, all except for maybe two staff members were unprofessional, lots of gossip, no team dynamic at all and bad attitudes. Mind you this is a rehabilitation hospital, which means patient needs are in higher demand, yet they would leave 1 aide to fend against 10 to 12 patients, which isn’t  feasible when multiple call lights are going off every minute on the minute for the duration of your 12 hour shift! On top of all your other task you’re expected to do. Only 2 specific Nurses would take initiative to help when they could, I’d be surprised if they’re still there. If you’re looking to be burned out then apply.   I  wrote this place off quick, as the toxic work environment it is  and resigned. Beware.

Some of the Co-workers . The have a positive attitude and a motivating spirit.

Staff work load, the equity it high, a lot of behavioral issues. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Doesn’t always have what is need to do job. Somewhat diverse. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy and demanding. It’s a 12 hour work day and you going physical work at least 6.5~9 hours than you may have enough for charting.

I can’t answer this question. Nothing comes to mind

Lack of corporate support
Constant micromanaging
Internal gossiping
Toxic behavior

Stressful
Like walking on eggshells

Nurse Co-workers are supportive and help each other out

Patient to nurse ratio and feeling unsupported by management

Fair for the most part-just like every where else. Better staffing would make a huge difference.

Very busy and chaotic but very fulfilling caring for patients

Overall, I am very happy with the improvements this company has made the past couple months and truly appreciate all of leadership for the hard work they have done in educating and supporting all staff. I believe we are on a path to success and proud to call this my place of employment. The nursing dept has some great and passionate workers - the therapy dept are caring and inspiring - overall I recommend this company.

Cafeteria food and the modern building.

Lack of support from upper management and CEO.

Toxic culture. They do not invest in development of employees.

Stress...run as fast as you can away from this organization or you'll regret it.

At Milwaukee Rehab Hospital from our leadership to nursing staff to housekeeping and maintenance, everyone is committed to quality care of our patients and facility.  Our team is growing and is dedicated to promoting a nurturing and supportive environment not only to our patients but all staff as well.  I’m appreciative for the opportunity to work with such a supportive company and dedicated employees.

Not having enough good quality staff

Steady work environment mid-fast pace

When I would come in for 3rd shift it was a little chaotic, I felt day shift was not teaming up with night shift but that was okay. Unfortunately, this was not new to me or the other nurses starting there. The EMR system was alright. The doctors could have been friendlier.  It seemed kind of cold, but was new. Staffing was an issue but was an issue everywhere.

No work life balance (but they do pay bonuses-to FT staff only- for working because they're always short staffed) high turnover, poor culture/bad attitudes/borderline hostile environment, management plays favorites, they don't care if you have children (not flexible schedule), orientation/training is not good.
