Management.. or lack thereof makes working here a horrible experience. No structure, no orientation, no direction no competence. Benefits are trash, salary is ok but not worth subjecting yourself to the toxic work environment. Favoritism runs rampant throughout the organization. There is no “family environment”, that’s a lie. No one in senior leadership has the qualifications to be in the positions they are in and it shows with the decisions that are made. I have NEVER worked for a more unorganized company. High turnover among nurses and NPs. (Many left during “orientation” or shortly thereafter). Unrealistic scheduling, poor communication. Seriously, so many red flags.  Please don’t make the same mistake. I was one of the ones that thought it would get better..it never did. Even with the “changes”. It’s just broken. There is so much gossiping and childish behavior..I can’t believe adults work here. 


Poor management and low morale. No respect for employees and denied pto time and little to no raises. Toxic workplace. Favoritism.  Most enjoyable part is the patients. Little to no support. No mental health days. typical day at work would be addressing your schedule first thing in the morning and scheduling your patience ahead of time in order to make timely visits. Tremendous amount of documentation needs little technical support for iPads. No extra pay for being a CHPN. Hardest part of the job is dealing with management and getting to know the patients and losing them to their terminal prognosis. I do believe I have learned to use the iPad with much more efficiency. through various means of education hours the system that was set up was very easy to manage and up-to-date on nursing issues.

Very poorly run operation. People in leadership positions are not clinical and are making decisions they are not qualified to make. The one person in the office that is clinical is not helpful at all. Orientation is non-existent, and they have no clear plan on training new employees. The company is generous with benefits, pay and mileage reimbursement, but that does not make up for the areas they are lacking. I felt like my license was being put at risk while there by being asked to do things I had not been trained on. Key pieces of information were left out during the interview process.

As a nurse I am so happy I made the change from the for-profit world the non profit realm.  The change for me has been life changing.  I now work for an organization that values my input and my time. 

I was skeptical at first but the leaders and management are over the top with communication and accountability for all staff.   We've all worked places were seasoned staff and warm bodies get by with things they should not. Well here accountability and standards of care are first priority and I love that! 

I’ve worked with this organization for two years and have had a very positive experience. There are many opportunities for growth, including promotions, developing new skills, and leadership opportunities. Management actively encourages learning and professional development, which makes it a great place for employees who want to advance their careers. The team culture is supportive, and staff members are consistently kind and compassionate. I would recommend this workplace to anyone looking for long-term growth.

This is a truly great organization to work for. The culture is supportive and motivating, mission-driven, and team-oriented, with a real all-hands-on-deck mindset. Leadership is approachable, collaboration is encouraged, and everyone is aligned around providing excellent care to patients and families.

The pay, benefits, and PTO are generous, and there is clear opportunity for growth and advancement. If you’re looking for a workplace that values its people as much as its mission, this is a fantastic place to be.

Lots of change earlier this year created some angst. Completely new approach towards serving as many people in the community as is possible. High expectation for commitment to the values of the organization. Everyone has a voice and honest feedback is encouraged.  Hardest part of the job is service to those in need, the most enjoyable is service to those in need. So much dedication is represented through the staff that provide the care. Culture is evolving in a positive way.

Overall pay was nice. Most staff are friendly.

Clear division between senior leadership and all others. No real support from senior leadership.

Recently it has become toxic and hostile.

Checking emails, answering phones, meetings, and paperwork.

Enjoyed my time at Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.  The leadership were extremely helpful to my family and I during a difficult health crisis.  The CEO always had an open door to listen and help when needed.  While working we experienced extreme growth and the team handled it well and efficiently.  Extremely sad I had to move out of area.  If you love growth, accountability and innovation this is the organization for you!
