Despite mandatory training on bullying, some doctors do bully, fly off the handle, swear, behave in sexually inappropriate manner, etc. Since they are "owners," they get away with it. Everyone is too afraid to do anything because management that should address this will not. Fear? Things are only addressed when there is threat of lawsuit, OSHA or State involvement. Employees are held accountable for everything where the "owners" and management are not.

HR and upper management use employees to spy on the doctors and each other.  They rely on others to do their dirty work.  They also bully and act unprofessionally.

Employees, who are in favor of the doctors, also get away with the same type of behaviors. The problem people are never addressed and those employees who suffer from this either quit or get punished for speaking up.

The pay is low for the amount of work and stress level that the employee must work under. The health insurance is a joke. The doctors can afford the deductibles and coinsurance, as well as the premiums. However, an employee with a family would be better off working for minimum wage and getting the NY Essential Plan. 

The turnover rate in nursing staff is ridiculous. Though there are lifers, most new hires immediately start looking for a new job within months of starting. 

Outside of nursing there are more lifers, but again, most new hires start looking within months of starting.

I worked here for 2 years as a nurse's aid (or a care attendant as they say). I'll make my review as dry and simple as possible. It is INEXCUSABLE the amount that nurse's aids are paid. Yes I understand that there are no requirements or certifications to be an aid here, but that doesn't excuse that aids are expected to; Clean, feed, and bathe incontinent patients that can be heavily disabled or have dementia. Risk being exposed to covid-19, MRSA, c-diff, tuberculosis, scabies, and more diseases. Clean and prepare dead bodies to be taken to a morgue. Get vital signs on potentially 25-30 patients. And much, much more. It is absolutely absurd that your twelve hour day can include all of that, and you will compensated with a measly $500 paycheck, every two weeks. If you're a serious hard worker, great! You can try to work 60 hours a week (that is five, twelve hour shifts by the way) and you'll get $1000 bi-weekly for working yourself to the bone! There is absolutely no incentive to work this job, not even if you're going into the medical field. Whether you want to be an RN, LPN, NP, Doctor, whatever. You would be infinitely better off working in fast food, Walmart or other retail. I can GUARANTEE you that you will be paid more and you will have much easier days. I met some incredibly nice people and made some great friends and I am thankful for that, but it was not nearly enough to compensate for the lack of compensation.

I went in to MVHS Thinking things would be great and I was trained well by another office. When I got back to my office(whitesboro) everything was backwards, management is micro managing if there’s any stress she places it on all her staff. I was doing things outside my job description because other staff didn’t want to do it! There is no teamwork and very very underpaid. 
No overtime is allowed. You also need a 4 week notice to leave the office or not PTO time is paid out in your final check. You accrue 7.5 hours every 2 weeks. 
I was given more support from other staffing and management from other offices then what I was given in my own office. When you bring up problems with providers schedules or anything everything is received as pushback and if it’s not the managers way it is no way.  It’s a very hard place to work when things that are being completed are not being completed due to lack of training and management. Patient care is Mvhs motto and it’s no where near patient care. 
If you apply here you would most likely quit within a few months. When applying ask yourself why the company has so many openings.
Benefits are a joke here as well for a family plan it’s close to near $400 a month, I am going without insurance because if I accepted there insurance I would only have $200 left to pay bills, rent, food and etc. 

Undervalued, and underpaid for a tech. Many people come and go because the job and pay sucks! Techs are not valued at all. The place only care about people with degrees. Nurses often bully techs making the job even more overwhelming. No team work when a tech is on, everything is magically the techs job, everyone needs help, and oftentimes theres only one tech on the floor because anything more than that is a float to a different floor. Nurses sit down and "chart" which most use as a time to gossip, and be on the phone. In the meanwhile the tech is running the floor alone with a ratio 30:1, sometimes more. When a tech gets tired or even take a break they are legally entitled to, attitude is given. No one acknowledges a tech or the work they do. 

Typical day at work: I check the relay site. I file, file, and file some more. I work on anything my superior has handed off to me. once/if done with that on that particular day, I move onto insurance forms and apps.

I've learned a lot at Faxton. A lot more about "filing" the old way and digitally than I hoped for this job, but its easy and I make money doing it so who am I to complain. its a job until something in my actual field opens up in the area.

Workplace culture is great. Let me say its... hectic, but people are all pleasant one on one. its a hospital, after all.

I wouldn't say I love this job as its just a part-time position while I'm searching for something in the IT field or the field I actually went to college for, Software development, but it's okay. I love all the people there. It pays <i>some</i> bills. Overall, 3.9 / 5 due to co-workers and fast pased environment which make days seem as if they fly by.

I started as a housekeeper. I learned all of the schedules but most of all I learned proper chemical usage & cleaning procedures for every type of medical situation. i learned the trash run & how to operate the incinerator. I learned how to strip & wax floors, properly remove stains & shampoo carpets. I later became a supervisor where as I trained others, inspected and assisted. I did the supplies, ordering, stocking & keeping accurate paperwork. I did the scheduling,covered any & all open schedules. I arranged all of the carpet & floor care for the second & third shifts. The hardest part was being down 2-3 employees that I knew I had to cover for yet the day shift supervisor said certain areas had to  waxed that night. We not only did it but it was all done to perfection. It was hard but I had a crew that none could ever surpass. The people & the job were the best

The team I managed with were the best I have ever worked with. I had the privilege of working with some of the most engaged, caring and patient oriented providers every day. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support from upper administration, being held accountable for covering multiple jobs without compensation or regard for their employee's own well being, major intentional staffing shortages

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Extremely disorganized and stressful. The focus is on the bottom line and not their patients

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Nothing was typical on any given day. We worked in an uncontrolled environment facility wise, and the only thing that would be a given was working 10 hours a day every day, and then working nights and weekends from home.

I've learned that people like to get into other people business and start trouble.  I've seen people miss  treat people at work,  talk down about workers.  Food is terrible for residents n staff, cafeteria should be opened more than 2 days a week n not the same food each week . 😫  . I've seen how alot of workers get away with not doing there jobs right . I feel like everyone deserves a raise n other workers deserves overtime.  If going out on transport should be able to give us 24 hour notice honestly,  some people don't have money to eat so they go all day without eating,  is not fair . We should do more for our residents..  I hope people change or get new management 🙏  no one works as a team like we should n it's sad . I feel like this company should stop favoring people and help more with employees that have disabilities to read and stuff.

The work environment is utterly atrocious. You have two weeks to basically learn everything within the lab if your processor. One of those weeks you spend with somebody that doesn't even know what they're doing. Another week you spend with somebody who works in a completely different hospital. You're thrown into the fire without really even knowing what to do. You basically have to learn as you go. Everyone there hates everyone. And the managers don't really even do anything other than walk around and berate you when you do something wrong. The pay is really well, I'll give them that. But it's not worth the stress. Coworkers also will gossip about one another making it very hard to trust anyone around. If you do work here just watch yourself and keep to yourself. But also be careful of doing that, because people judge those who stay quiet. Stay Safe.

I learned how to train other coworkers that were new on the job, as well as re-stocking shelves in the gift shop. I delivered newspapers a time or two, i helped keep up with inventory. Also helped filing papers in Health Occupations(hospital "nurse") and writing in peoples' hours which they had worked that day, week, or month. Made calls for my supervisor to check and ask people if they would be returning to their previous job in the upcoming week, or month; and if so to have them return so they can get a T-B shot to verify their working qualifications.
