If you're looking for a start in IT or a place to grow your Data/Voice IT knowledge, this place is great. This office will take in people who have the drive and inspiration to learn and grow in the industry. You will receive the appropriate bumps in pay with promotions if you can prove you are able to learn/adapt for the next level/department. Complainers of this company are often lazy and/or compare their income to other companies that pay more for the same work. However, these people fail to understand that they don't qualify for those types of employers. If you don't have certifications or credentials, Momentum will still consider your experience and help you grow if you prove you're knowledgeable. These other employers will not. If you complain about pay, go get those official credentials and go somewhere that requires them. Momentum is an employer who believes in individual growth within the company to excel. If you study for certifications pertaining to your department's duties, they will compensate you for the cost of the test if you pass. The company has paid holidays regardless if you work them, bonuses, PTO, HSA contributions, 401k matching, Dental, good medical insurance, life insurance, & vision insurance. management is decent, but your supervisors are limited in power by higher management.

- Company run by board in New York that only cares about bottom line and exorbitant upper level salaries and bonuses while lower level employees go years without raises.

- No opportunity for advancement

-if you raise too many questions you are immediately retaliated against up to the line of legality. 

- They work new people to the bone with the hopes they will quit and not draw unemployment then restart the process furthering their bottom line. 

- Training is non existent and it is all learn on the job training with no references but someone else's experience. 

- Sales are paid way too much for the little amount of work they do (leads are brought to them on a silver platter by a partner)and pawn 3/4 the work off down the line once it leaves their dept. The sales they make also are what every other persons bonus is based off of so if they underperform they get a "you will get them next time champ" and everyone else does not receive a bonus. They receive lavish work trips to Las Vegas and tourist destinations which no other department gets. The inequity is extremely alarming considering they receive the best everything for virtually lying to a customer and having everyone else clean up their mess. 

The list honestly can go on and fill pages. Everyone is too afraid to say something because they will be fired. 

I'm not a tech-savvy individual and they knew that before they re-hired me. The skills for which I was brought back were solely sales related. I continuously asked for product training, but only received sales training. However, after only a few months on the job I was hitting my weekly and monthly sales numbers and was rewarded with a trip to Austin, TX for additional sales training provided by Karl (something) at 'Sandler Sales Training'. Here I was taught successful universal sales techniques and tactics, but never industry specific sales and/or product knowledge. I exceeded my sales and service numbers every month, but because I was never taught industry specific knowledge nor Momentum specific product knowledge my equity within their company was quite low. As a result of my limited IT knowledge, I was laid-off (along with the 3 others they hired as inside sales reps) because they've shifted their focus to hiring qualified outside sales reps. Although I by far exceeded my sales numbers and the numbers my colleagues posted, I was laid-off because I couldn't fully understand the high-tech IT industry to the extend of my target audience/prospects.

Truly an awful place to work. You get hired, have an endless amount of new work/responsibilities  with no raise in pay  promised ever(read your contract) that would include long term employees as well. It is so lopsided in Sales departments favor meaning other work perks like all expenses paid trips advertised to the entire company (infuriating), the yearly bonuses that exceed what everyone else makes in a year, and of course how could i forget their sheer truth telling godliness that makes the rest of the companies department have to work through a living nightmare with customers.  Management is beyond lacking and borderlines on worthless. They spend all day just talking on the phone, nothing else while they have never done the job they are in charge of. The CEO is only interested in revenue coming in not quality of work or any anything else frankly just his boys in sales that stroke his ego all the time... 

Pay is still not enough for what we do and the skills set that's being added to the workload. Benefits, perks and yearly bonus are cool but it would be nice to have more of a raise when considering the knowledge and skills set that's required. Management could definitely do better and turn over is still high. Schedules could and should be better. Nothing is consistent hardly. Office culture could be better and has become a super boring place to be but they do offer OT (which is nice since it's never been forced). I've been there for 3 years now and it's been okay if you can handle constant change. The only other thing I've enjoyed is the work from home option but they are quick to take that away and will micromanage you to door. Tier 1 is more of a stepping stone so plan on moving up quickly or get stuck there forever! 

There are opportunities for advancement if you are willing to work at it. 
They do not pay as much as other companies but our location is not a city or urban area, most jobs here pay lower than other places. 
They provide different types of benefits, but will squeeze every last penny from you for those deductibles. 
Most people here are fun, upbeat and nearly everyone is all about teamwork. 
Management has structures in place to keep on eye on calls and general issues. 
Cons,
Insurance deductible is expensive, too many agents need to be babysat and have their hand held while they do basic work and it takes away from other employees with actual issues, they keep lazy/terrible people because they're more concerned about quantity of calls taken rather than quality of calls, information is not shared freely

This is a very shaky ‘merger’ organization. COVID was used to cut a lot of employees but the history is much deeper. Realize that you will be walking into an unstable and mismanaged organization with leadership who wants to act like they’re on a special NASA team but at the end of the day, everyone is simply repacking already engineered IT products. Everyone is trying to figure out what they’re doing to get projects to run smoothly. Momentum is quite a circus show and you will be jeopardizing your career path if you get baited into this place. If shareholders and upper management want to play another game of chess with employees, you could be the one conquered in their game. Run and don’t look back!

Overworked.
You will learn that taking calls is more important than arriving at resolutions.
Management will pretend to care which will seem comforting.
You will learn that your effort is not enough in someone else’s opinion.
Workplace culture is some people will create ticket closes and be rewarded  while you will actually close real tickets, and it won’t be enough or be appreciated.
The hardest part of the job is knowing that everything can turn against you in an instant. Management is secretly waiting for you to fail.
The good news is that you will learn a lot, but it probably won’t be enough to help you get promoted.
Don’t get sucked into the cultish abyss.

Assisting customers with their issues and leaving the customer satisfied.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The hours, the shift was 12-9, it didn't leave much time to spend with family. Especially on the weekends. Other than that, it was a  decent place to work, I would recommend it to anyone . The benefits and incentives were definitely on point as well.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It consisted of a lot of team work, especially when there was an escalation involved.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Energetic, high call volume and every call was interesting

Been with the company for several years and the change up in leadership has lead to massive micromanagement. They've moved away from techs to resolve issue to representatives that just take abuse from the customers who are rightfully mad about their subpar service. The do not provide adequate support to the teams and have hiked metrics up to appease the executives. They won't hire more people because it would skew metrics.  I haven't gotten a cost of living adjustment in two years. Not a raise, just a cost of living adjustment. Literally everyone I talk to on a daily basis is looking to abandon ship.
