Lots of encouragement from the teachers, and you can make friends easily here. A typical day of school here is different for each grade. I have been through 3rd and 4th grade. I am starting fifth grade on August 29, 2022. Each grade level learns mathematics, English language arts, writing, science, and history/social studies. The hardest part of going to school here is extracurriculars, such as cheerleading and 
running clubs. The best part of going to school here is making lifelong friends. I made 3 lifelong friends here.

Expected to work 11-12 hour days on an 8 hour shift with no choice due to lack of director.

Stressful, unfair and no help from HR personnel

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
At first great. 8 hour shift. Upon resigning, 11-12 hour shifts expected but not requested by fill in director.


Everyday, I spend 30 minutes during many people's lunch recording a news show that recently replaced morning announcements on the intercom. For all of the high school and some middle school football and basketball games, I would broadcast the games on www.nfhsnetwork.com for anybody that wanted to pay a subscription fee to watch. The hardest parts of the job was setting and attending meetings with Tower Community Bank, Farmer's Bank, and First Community Bank, all in Lynchburg. What I enjoy the most is being able to do something that I love to do on an acceptable schedule for my schoolwork to be turned in on time.

I have enjoyed my work at Moore County Schools, I have established a good working relationship with all of my colleagues and learned what it meant to be held accountable for one's actions. I think that the biggest lesson that I learned while employed there was that we as a society needs to be more considerate of an individual's socioeconomic past and how it may impact or interfere with ones upbringing. We as a nation need to be more involved within our communities and do what we can in order to deter our impoverish communities which means to be more of a forgiven nation.

Beautiful city, poorly run middle school. Kids run the school. Kids pass without meeting grade level standards. Teachers are the scape goat for everyone; parents, admin, kids. No place to give grievances. If you talk about the issues you risk being black listed as a teacher. No one stands up for the teachers. They will make it your fault some how. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Definitely not being gas lit and abused by students, staff, and parents daily.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Pretty much everything is your fault and you are never doing enough :) (but hey don't forget your 'why')

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Teaching is literally just being in an abusive cult.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Trying to build a plane as you fly it while answering questions about the task and having no instructions.

This job is inherently rewarding due to working within the education system in a public school the students and staff are fairly culturally diverse, eager to learn and build community. These area schools have great resources and economic support relatively speaking. This provides for a great working environment.

Functional curriculum for self contained students developed individual educational plans for each students. Worked daily with each student in remedial skills math,reading and writing. Supervising sudents during recreational,and classroom activities.

Split shift makes it cost more gas. Got along great with the teachers and principles of the school great kids. Very responsive with Disciplinary issues. Reasonable pay. Some busses don't have adequate air conditioning and the environment gets extremely hot. Especially with 72 children on board. I love the work life balance. Great place to work part time. 

With this job I loved because it was in my element and from then on I knew I wanted to do something with having my own office but starting off little. The management was great to work with, always made sure I was okay and if I needed anything. The most enjoyable part of this job was being around the people everyday that had on smile on there face and who I helped make someone smile.
