This job could be great because it's permanent "work from home" opportunity. It has so much potential but unfortunately it's just another call centre job. The whole NSC seems to be running with the fake narrative of toxic positivity & turning any constructive feedback into a "YOU" problem first. The problem is always "YOU". People who have been with NHSP for a while just give up & stop raising any concerns or feedback to the management. New hires come in with all the excitement because the company is selling a dream job opportunity during the interview & training phase. It then goes downhill from there. It's very hard to do your job. People call in already annoyed & take it out on you. It's shocking that some of these people are nurses or carers & even working in mental health. The way they talk to you is appalling and you better not terminate a call... There should be a way to report them especially when they are calling while on duty. Everything u say or do is monitored. Even going to the toilet, u better not have a condition or a weak bladder.... Honestly, the place is just getting worse. They are continuously hiring but it makes absolutely no difference to the call volumes & wait times for the clients. Other departments are useless. HR, Payroll & Learning & Development don't even deal with people, they just reply to emails, we can't even contact them internally... Vetting team that deals with compliance, DBS etc., has average waiting times of 90 minutes... Team Leaders are giving different advice, nothing is consistent. If u get stuck on a call after your finish time then you need to ask for that time to be given back or you worked for free. Tea break is 10 minutes! Lunch is 30! It's hard to believe that NHSP is owned by the Department of health & social care & that this is a corporate job because it certainly doesn't feel that way. Tired & exhausted. Even the best customer service is not good enough. You never feel like you've done a good job at the end of the day. Nothing else to add.

Work from home positions I have never experienced one like this. Micro management is at all level high. You get monitored for breaks within the day (even toilet ones) and you Will have feedback on any breaks and where to improve!!  Gets to the point you actually don’t even want to use a toilet as it may be used against you in any meetings with a manager!! I don’t find at all a home/work balance. you can never switch  off. Huge lack of support once you’re on a call and you are the punching bag for most people and expected to take it with no support after. 
 Raised that it is a supporting place to work, but it really didn’t feel that way. You can thrive in all areas - be the best customer service worker and still feel knocked down.. even after brilliant feedback from customers and other co workers.  No praise whatsoever from management and difficult to get hold of anyone! I have never experienced a job where I felt so judged or pushed into being at a certain stage so early into a career.  Some nice people that are helpful when you need that bit of support , but lucky if you can grab someone nobody is anywhere  esecially any  “management!!” 

Shift start times vary per my choice, this makes the work flexible for many professionals with other responsibilities. Many updates on systems and learning through research help to keep you motivated and up to date.
No line manager which for me is fine but for many they could feel quite isolated. A 'community hub' on line is the only available source of general contact, however Team Leaders are always available for advice if need and are super supportive.
The hardest part of the job was the initial training as there is absolutely to human contact, all on line and took months because of system errors not recognising training had been completed - the most frustrating  and unprofessional start to a job. However now finally on board I love it!

The teams in NHS Professionals resent older people joining the teams. The Team Leaders are young with no managing people skills. The team I was in, there were “favourites”. I had no proper training; possibly a few minutes by the Team Leader then left to get on with it. I learned by asking other team members, several of which were very good & helped me. The Manager that recruited me left & the Team Leader clearly saw me as a threat in that I was older with a lot of experience. She could have capitalised on this but did her best to exclude me. She’s now been promoted to Mansgement status. After only a few months I decided to leave but COVID struck & I went onto the COVID Priority Team dealing with a variety of tasks which I enjoyed. I worked at home for 15 months when Covid was under control I decided to leave.

Overworked/underpaid just about sums up my experience with this organisation. The sickness culture is staggering and puts a real strain on everyone left to pick up the slack and nobody seems to be bothered. A lot of the posts will not be given a full 37.5 hours contract although workload warrants it. There are far to many senior managers controlling budgets etc which again causes a lot of problems and frustration. Don't get me wrong the NHS is a great organisation for the UK but since starting employment my eyes have really been opened up and I can see why it's at breaking point.

Very busy and fast paced and we deal with between 50 and 70 patients per day.There is plenty of opportunities to progress in the career. The hardest part of the job is not having enough time to spend with patients. The most enjoyable part is seeing patients leave the hospital feeling a lot better. The post I am currently doing at the moment is in consultation, so I am seeking other job opportunities. Work place culture in my current unit is always fair. Management has always been very supportive, and helpful.

I have had a VERY BAD experience with these people. there is very bad communication. They will take your assignment codes off you when you are in hospital severely ill so be very careful. These people do not care about you as a person. They have bad communication and have no peoples skills. All they care about is filling in never mind how your mental state of being is doing! SORT IT OUT. 

A disorganised and chaotic place to work. Unable to contact other departments, so nothing ever gets resolved for customers. Staff are pretty much punchbags for unhappy customers. Short breaks, long hours, and high stress. Avoid unless you like feeling overwhelmed and unsupported or gaslighted by the positivity brigade, who prefer to invalidate your feelings to keep the illusion alive that they're the 'best employer that cares about their people'.

Have to wait for wards to release shifts before you get paid which is not guaranteed and may have to wait days/weeks before released. No progression. All training is unpaid. Don't have no dealings with management and have difficulty contacting local teams . Good for flexibility and meeting new people.

How I support elderly through their various need bring joy to me.

When I work with lazy people not working at my pace. It displeases me.

Hardwork and empathy for patient
