The Partners have no formal management training or experience. They are only there for themselves and everything revolves around them. They are not skilled in I.T. or care to understand investing in new technologies. A partner can fire you at anytime, no questions asked. There are, however, a couple of Partners who do possess a high level of skills but they do not share or train anyone; the rest are simply not that good at their jobs but no one can do anything about them. Also, there are many, many, many relatives working in partner and high level management positions and they clearly could not work anywhere else but NKSFB. The positions under the partner level are revolving doors of employees going and coming continually. You are probably reading several postings for jobs there right now! The firm was also bought by Focus Financial Partners and there is money which goes to Focus every month who know nothing about the running of Business Management firms.

After over 20 years at NKSFB, I've learned the hard way that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. 🌱


Here’s my story: The working environment? Horrible. 🤯 I realized I was left to fend for myself—sink or swim. I learned nothing of value from the partners or managers. Instead of mentorship, I faced a cutthroat culture that served to fill their pockets while neglecting the well-being of their employees. 💔


🚫 If you’re considering a career there, my advice is simple: RUN! 💨 They promise big dreams, but it’s all smoke and mirrors. Many clients have been misled, and sadly, I’ve witnessed this firsthand.


It’s disheartening to see young talent used and abused in an environment that seems to favor men over women. 🙅‍♀️


⚠️ Protect yourself and your career—if you find yourself at NKSFB, get out while you can!

Work-life balance
They don't value your performance, they only value what your manager and co-workers think about you. They would fire employees for no reason at least 2-4 employees per month. Main reason would be one of the co-worker does not like the other, or the manager just wanted to let that person go. HR team is very helpless if the manager wants you to go. Upper management does not get involved in it. It solely depends on the mood of the manager you work with. 
 Long term employment would never be guaranteed.

Pay & benefits
They don't have retirement plan. Health plan gets really expensive if you want to add family member.

Job security and advancement
They do have training. But I dont see they have a growth in the company. There were people worked as an AAE for 10 years, Did scanning for 5 years.

Overall
There is no growth. Long term employment never guaranteed. Anyone in the firm can report you so that they fire you. HR team does not assess performance.

It’s a good stepping stone to learn but not a place to stay. Too
Many bias for but kissers and people are overworked  and underpay, turnover is high because of this and then you have more work. 

I feel there’s a lot of wasted talents here. A lot of people go because they feel unappreciated and no growth. They expect employees to read the minds of accountants, managers and partners. Little to no guidance once you’re in, it’s all up to your manager if they’ll teach you or not. 

They really pick favorites here. This place has a higher turnover rate than than a basketball game and the only people that are really taken care of are a few of the EA's that work for the partners. 

It's a standard corporate job, not good by any means; lots of work politics, and some of the account executives are manipulative and just plain weird creating a hostile work environment, not by any means something I would like to be subjected to.

it has a horrible culture and terrible management. upper management isn't afraid of throwing you under the bus, and work hours are very inflexible. It has no sense of teamwork. Don't recommend working there!

With the new HR Team and new Head of IT, NKSFB is going in the right direction. HR is growing and working really hard to retain employees and offer competitive salaries in today's market.
