Be prepared to dedicate 50+ hours a week of your life, and that's when you're NOT forced by the ISP to work 6 days a week for multiple consecutive weeks during the summer. Forget the "Overtime" as your pay is reliant on the production bonus alone. If you don't rack up enough "points" from successful calls then the base pay, even with overtime, is not impressive. In other words the pay fluctuates greatly. And don't think about trying to work ahead as you will be punished with even more work.
Local management was kind, supportive, and understanding when it came to family and personal emergencies. Always ensured I had the tools for the job and gladly paid for any supplemental tools. Company vehicle you can take home at the end of the day, gas is paid with company gas card. Coworkers always willing to help you reach a conclusion to a customer's service call. This is what earned the 4 stars.
I cannot give a 5-star review as the work was tough, mentally and physically. A typical day can consist of helping an elderly person with a remote, to climbing 3 poles for a single installation, climbing another pole for a trouble call, another call that's simply replacing a cable box and waiting 30 minutes just to find out its defective and have to replace it again and wait another 30 minutes, just to start panicking because now you're behind on your route and dispatch can't move any jobs off of you, so now you're the bad guy when you call customers to reschedule so you won't be working until 8pm. Oh, and you better be satisfying ever-increasing metrics that the upper management at the ISP keep imposing ever other week, which makes every job last longer, and you can expect 8-10 calls whether its installs or trouble calls.
It was a good experience for me in the end though, as I previously worked indoors and liked meeting new people and seeing different areas in the greater region.
Main complaint is the unrealistic metrics and time management that is detached from reality. Your route is built on the assumption that you can solve every customer's issue in 50 minutes, and that's including satisfying their metrics which can easily absorb 20 minutes of that time, THEN you can solve the customer's issue. This is not the company's fault necessarily, just the fault of the ISP you are contracted to perform work for.
In the end, it's a job that I would go back to if I needed to, certainly recession-proof as everyone uses the internet in the modern age. 
Learned a lot about fiber and coax broadband. Learned a lot about society. Learned about the limitations of my mind and body.

I've only been working here for 6 months and in that time I have been trained by the Senior Admin herself and if I ever have questions I have many people available that are happy and eager to help. We truly define the word team and support each other to help teach and get tasks done. 
Room for advancement is always available but it isn't handed out just because there is a position open. You must show growth, knowledge, and put in quality time and effort. You aren't faulted for a mistake here and there or feeling overwhelmed at times, someone will always try to alleviate any issues or teach you a different way to do the same task that might work better.
The team feels like a family as we hold regular meetings to all be on the same page and address any needs or concerns. We are involved in some community events and maintain an online forum where we can share photos and accomplishments within the company.

I love my job but management is poor on all fronts. Between lack of equipment bc of every reason i can hear. inability to obtain raises so you're stuck at $20/hr. limited supervisor roles meaning its hard if not impossible to move up. bad/expensive benefits that take out almost a combined 50% weekly. If you're good at you're job, you're not compensated and you shoot yourself in the foot by losing out on paid hours. I lose about 10 hours per week in drive time bc they refuse to pay it. I've been flat out lied to in my face before about jobs and opening positions.. we're so understaffed in the tech aspect and about to lose our bucket crew and half of our underground.

National OnDemand began as a small business venture, that is growing extremely fast.  They care about their employees, the customers and the end user.  National On Demand's ability to grow depends on its employees to execute against the goals to achieve it's success.  As an exempt employee, you may need to give more than a 40 hours a week, however they see the efforts put forth and offer flexibility when and  where you may need it.  National On Demand ensures deadlines are met to meet payroll and client expectations.  If you are up to the challenge it is a great place to work with solid processes and a culture of value and respect with communication being a plus.

Dealing w/ Comcast (vendor we support) their IT / NoC can be under trained.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and helpful. Most jobs are solo and sometimes 2man sites

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Troubleshooting or installing (new business) rack and stack networking hardware, Firewall, switch, LTE4G back up devices, Access Points, running cables for APs. Working with Comcast NOC/IT support being hands for Comcast support

Coming from staffing agencies and larger organizations that really did not see the importance of a proper work/life balance, NATIONAL OnDemand has this aspect perfected. Due to having a young child in the COVID area having the flexibility to work from home, leave if there is an emergency, and balance my workload or makeup my time in unconventional ways is truly the best part of working here. My coworkers truly make coming to work everyday the best part. Management constantly asks employees on feedback for ways to make NATIONAL OnDemand an even greater place to work.

You have very little control of your weekly budget do to the fact that different jobs pay out different amount of money (it could be almost a $60 DIFFERENCE DEPENDING on the job) so you might be thinking well if you just work faster and harder then you'll obviously get more money. And you would be wrong. See all the jobs for the day are pre-scheduled so somebody in an office somewhere decided what I was going to make today and that might be as low as $60. Try and budget for a family when one week you're getting $60 and then the next week you getting $700 all because whoever was putting your jobs in the system JPMorgan expensive ones this week

The corporate environment is flexible and the job duties are somewhat unpredictable, both of which appeal to me.  Directors are quite understanding about making adjustments to schedule due to personal, family or medical needs. The company is in growth mode, which means you may work in any number of areas to get done what's needed.  The future of the company looks bright, and it's exciting to be a part of projects that may help seal new partnerships.  

Not a whole lot of hand holding as long as you do your job they leave you alone. That’s the good. 
The bad if you don’t stay on top of them and are working out of town for them you might have to pay for your hotel room and they will get the charges put on their card the next day. The mini van I drove for them was a mechanical nightmare and was next to impossible to get fixed. And make sure you pay attention to your pay they are 3 weeks out it took 4 and 1/2 weeks for me to get my first check and what a chore it was to get it straight.
