The culture at this place is so corrosive. It's just a seething pool of people who ineptitude from the management but nobody will say as much. If they do say as much they're quickly demoted to working the bottom of the barrel business and put in the corner until they quit. Seen this happen to several top tier collectors they've had, who legitimately came up with good systems and recommendations just to have their ideas either stolen by middle management or quickly ripped off and them pushed back to their chairs with no recognition. The middle management they have now consists of an IT guy who knows nothing about IT, can't hardly keep a computer connected to a dialer, and can barely fit under the desk to hook stuff up.  The other manager is pretty cool, other than when he's busy being a yes man for the owner and his son. Half the long time employee's here have just all together stopped caring, since management can't get their act together long enough to keep a policy in place for more than 6 weeks. Anything they do keep together longer than that is usually so punitive that it just drives the talent to quit, until they're stuck with what they have now. Which is essentially a bunch of underpaid collectors with little to no skill and zero chance of making any decent money. This is a shame because the business they have is golden, they just haven't a clue how to deal with it.

I have worked at NSB for a long time and plan on being here for the rest of my career. I felt it necessary to write a review based on some of the other reviews I read about the company. 

I have been here long enough to see people come and go and while many people that leave are under performing or can't do the job (it's not for everyone), the owners also don't tolerate employees who can perform but are rude to coworkers and/or consumers and place an emphasis on protecting a positive culture.  

I've worked for other companies and have been in the industry for 20+ years and this is the first company I have personally worked for that does NOT have only 1 top collector earning commission.

Only pro about this job was working remotely and having weekends off.  This was a 3rd party collections position and was EXTREMELY difficult to getting consumers to pay from uninsured accident claims. For you to succeed at this job you have to be an extremely experienced well seasoned collector. If you don’t produce they will drop you within 2 months. This job barely gives you a chance during training and they have an old school 1980 system that’s outdated and doesn’t care about no progress you make in training. Apply at your own risk 

No room for growth, no work life balance. Get questioned on your UNPAID time off. Management has bad communication. No one can give you a direct task…. Basically just guessing what you have to do next. Inappropriate collectors/other staff. Boring boring boring. One girl got offered a promotion then told that she must do some job tasks that weren’t hers in order to prepare for this new promotion and then in the end they didn’t promote her at all and hired a new manager. 

All week they have been raging on us to write reviews. Found out today that they had been handing out better accounts to folks who will write a positive review. If that’s not some manipulative stuff I don’t know what is. I guess you have to be a yes man to get by at this place, and that is just not gonna happen with me.

If that doesnt speak volumes about how bad they’re doing, that they are practically bribing people to write them a good review. Ive only been here a couple months, and doesn’t sound like this is going to be the place for me.

I really enjoy the people and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Being a collector is challenging, but for the right person, it offers a unique opportunity for people who are driven and willing to learn.  I've seen people with no experience come into the business and rise quickly because they listen and learn from every conversation.  

Highly competitive job, majority of what I do is Insurance Subrogation which is very similar to collections. Great pay if your a great performer. 3 years in April this year. Company has provided a stable place of employment to allow me to expand my family and buy our first home. Don't be mistaken it's still collections, and very fast paced. You'll get used to it, and when you do there's plenty of money to be made.

I have worked for NSB for 6 years. I love working here and do not feel as if I am a number and they care about there employees compared to other agencies. The NSB owners and management staff want you to succeed and you will  if you are willing to work hard and be engaged on daily bases. The commission structure is highest around. I plan on staying and NSB and continue to make great money $$$$ and be a part of an amazing team.

Great quick picker upper job nothing exciting about this place the pay they promised never adds up no matter the effort you put in and hitting goal still doesn’t get u paid. Don’t fall victim of this place they suck u  in and spit you out like babaloo gum. You feel like you’re getting something done you collect 30K in two calls and still not hit any compensation. I worked here 6 months straight grinding it out and never saw any fruits of my labor.

Have to be on camera for the duration of the shift.  They are very focus on the money. Training could be a lot better they just basically throw you on the phones no nesting period or anything. Most definitely not like the previous employer I worked for they cared about their employees so I can see why the turnover is so high.
