Responsible for the processing of daily trade settlement, cash and positions, deposits and withdrawals, and general reconciliation between the investment manager and sponsors. Managed six sponsors i.e. Fidelity, Morgan Stanley and Prudential. Proactively work closely with the portfolio analysis and trading departments concerning account debit and short positions, resolve conflicts and clear any discrepancies. Reconcile daily generated reports versus account statements. Reporting urgent item status to management, communicate with traders and brokers via phone and electronic communication. Manage client information and documentation accurately and confidentially. Established and maintained an excellent client relationship with each trader and broker, based on individuality and functionality.

During a typical day at work I handled security issues, facilities maintenance and repairs, prepare for upcoming moves and interact will employees of all different levels.

During my employment at Natixis I have accrued a multitude of skills such as facilities management, security, space review, purchasing, housekeeping, etc.

The Corporate Services Team at Natixis was a team that was very supportive of one another and worked very well together. Even during very busy times we managed to make each other smile.


The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting and creating relationships with the people I worked with. As an office manager/coordinator you get to work with not only all employees of the company but also building management, vendors, auditors and consultants.

Imagine a place where 2 months after you start all your job responsibilities are combined for you and your colleges. You are expected to complete a job that has nothing to do with what you were hired to to.  For your new responsibilities  no proper training will be given. You are still expected to do your daily job, which you were hired to do, a new job responsibilities  and also manage outsourcing teams who can care less of what you say and barely speak English. This is how most departments are in Natixis are structured. The pay is good but you are expected to work for 2 to 3 people making the pay not so good. If you unemployed go to Natixis, If you have a job don't do it.  

Natixis needs alot of work to step out of the dark ages. They have been admonished from the Fed for some of their deficiencies, so they brought in a team of consultants who have done this before to remediate these items properly, yet management does not want to listen or implement things the "correct" way, they want fast band aids, which is probably what got them where they are in the first place. 
Secondly, I've never seen a place where people routinely just ignore emails and meetings, people dont reply, or accept /decline meeting requests, they just ignore them...forever. And there is no accountability, Senior Mgmt does not hold any of the mid-level managers feed to the fire, for the lack of action of their staffs.

I have completed an 18-month assignment at Natixis North America in the New York office. I was a team member of the Natixis US Audit Group, which is responsible for performing integrated audits and reporting results for entities throughout the Americas. I have assisted on various audit missions encompassing departments and functions such as Finance, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, and Middle Office on the Capital Markets and Banking platforms. I was responsible to learn and apply our audit methodologies based upon Head Office and IIA standards.  I was also responsible to manage the recommendation follow-up process and database.

The scope of responsibilities was wide within the IT Operations workspace. The company is global, so the workday would stretch beyond the typical workday. Due to the midrange size of the company, if you were able to build efficiencies to deliver on time, the number of hours worked was not an issue. That was true of my global team. 
Addressing global needs as a leader in the US presented a challenge at times.
The people were amazing. Intelligent, mature, fun and funny.

Turnover at NY office is very high due to issues with compensation and general feeling that the NY is a step-child outpost to Europe. Although revenue from the Americas is a large portion of the total, they make everything as difficult as they can be in order to be in control in Paris. All systems are run out of Paris and support is not there after hours Paris time (noon NY time)

Management's failure to recognize employee contributions and modest pay increases are concerning. While the company fosters a collaborative culture with tight-knit teams, dedicated and hard-working employees deserve competitive annual raises and bonuses. The recent implementation of a "partially meets expectations" performance rating appears to be a tactic for justifying raises of less than 1%. 

I absolutely loved interning here! The culture was my favorite part because everyone I met was so supportive and fostered a collaborative environment. It was very easy for me to grow comfortable in my role and readily assist is departmental work and intern projects. I got to learn a lot about the structure of the company and the asset management industry.
