For starters I was low-balled with my salary.  I learned a lot with the department, I grew my knowledge base and felt that I was moving up.  As soon as I voiced my opinion about something "unethical" I was deemed as a troublesome employee and management never regarded me as the same as before.  You are told from day one that you are expendable and that you can easily be replaced at any time.  You are constantly terrified of not performing well, which everyone makes mistakes.  If you did make a mistake due to being overworked or stretched too thin, you were severely reprimanded.  

Management between the departments were not cohesive.  There were constant emails  about what to do/not to do but if your manager said do something contrary to that, you had to comply.  A friend recently went to management about something that she felt was unethical, she was told to explicitly follow her manager even though per the handbook and FDA regulations, it was unethical.  This kind of behavior was condoned.  It's a good-old-boy system.  If you kiss up to them enough, they like you.  You are encourage to be a mindless drone.  If you have one inkling of a mind, you are shunned and outcast for speaking up for yourself.

The hours are also unrealistic.  I normally worked over 50 hours a week.  I came in early and left late everyday.  Production would formulate a batch of product.  The TAT was supposed to be 3-5 days but they would want you to bend over backwards to have all testing done in a few hours.  That's not quality.

Bottom line is everyone there is terrified of being fired, they work themselves half to death with no breaks, and if you do not get everything that management tells you to do in writing then they will screw you over.  ALL MANAGEMENT.  Take it from me.   No one is your friend.  People are cutthroat and out for themselves.  If you get hired, watch your back.

I left a very stable job to come to Nephron, as they offered more money! The money is THE ONLY GOOD THING about this place. They will pay you nicely, especially if you have experience in the field and negotiate during your entry process. 
The people at this employer are miserable. Everyone complains and constantly wants to quit. They will work you to death and not even bother to give you a break after. I have personally worked 8-10 hours without taking a break and barely was able to use the restroom. 
The management acts as if they are too busy to listen to you at all, let alone if you have anything personal - forget it, there are always 5-10 people in the room when you are talking.
The co-workers are rude and mean, nobody gets proper training, the training is a JOKE! I have done nothing but regret my decision to come to Nephron every single day. 
If you are seeking employment and this place calls you... if you are bad off enough, take the job to get some money, but KEEP APPLYING, and do NOT plan to stay here long term. I get SHOCKED to hear someone has been there longer than a few months, they have a turnover rate of over 75%. LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS, people are trying to tell you the truth! 
They hire you for one job title and then you end up doing something COMPLETELY different, that includes schedule... this happens to almost everybody. Management LOVES firing people! People have gotten fired over having a hole in their glove. These people are clueless on how to run a business and they lie constantly about what they are doing to the FDA. Terrible workplace, everybody lives in fear of losing their job every single day.

This is one of the most toxic environments in the Columbia area. The entire organization is run on fear of losing your job. They make this abundantly clear in your training. Once you're in your department, you hit the ground running. This is where you finally begin to see how toxic things really are. This is where you find out that upper management doesn't care anything about their employees and will treat them like disposable goods. Management holding grudges. Favoritism towards certain employees. Good employees passed over for promotions in favor of people who are friends or family of the CEO or other executives. 

All that aside, Nephron is a great place to get what you need and get out. Get a job there and tell them you make more now than you really do. Tell them you make $35,000 and they'll counter offer something higher. That's how they get you. They WILL pay you better than any other job. They more than likely think they paid for you and that's why they think they can treat you any old way. Once you get in the door, do your job and get out. It'll take you about 3 to 4 months to get burnt out. Right before you get burnt out,  leave! Don't give a 2 weeks notice because they're just going to make you leave right then anyway. I've seen them escort people out right after they gave their 2 weeks. There's no professionalism there. Just get yours and get out as soon as possible.

Maintain event and Staff Calendars for submissions. Collect data and maintain documents; research, develop, edit, and process briefing packages, brochures, handouts, reports, and supporting documentation; and draft and route correspondence; maintain materials. Duties may also include meeting support.  Provide travel support (coordinate travel arrangements, perform other duties as assigned. 
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist/International Regulation I submit all Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation products Dossiers to different countries. Supplied these countries with Raw Materials and Finished Products Samples to run all laboratories tests for product registration purpose. Made translation for documents and commercials for the company, Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Request the CPP (Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product) to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), send documents to be Apostille.
Work with teams members for the Registration and for the approvals of the company’s products. Creates documents for submissions, and maintain licenses up to date. Work with Medical Devices, for one Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation product. Make payments for the CPP from the FDA, for the Apostille certifications and for the warehouse and manufacture. Review protocols.

This place only cares about making money. They do no care about the employees and try to make them work 6 hours straight without even a bathroom break. They make medicine but even if it is contaminated they will still sell it and just say that the person who tested it contaminated the test so they don't lose the money. Their motto is, its never the medicine, even if the medicine is contaminated.  They have no respect for employees, or even federal guidelines and management will ask you to do things that are against procedures and federal law; (FDA, DEA) so if you don't know the laws yourself you are not protected. If the FDA or DEA finds out they will throw you under the bus because you are supposed to know not to do the illegal thing they told you to do.  Going to human resources does not help, they do not care about the employees and do not know what they are doing. The bottom line is they do whatever the owner wants because they are afraid of her so it doesn't matter if it is legal, moral, or ethical. 

When you agree to work here you have pretty much agreed to sell them your soul. They have bought you and expect you to do anything they say no matter how wrong it may be, THAT IS THE ONLY REASON THEY PAY SO MUCH!  They want you to be quiet about the mistreatment and the fact that the medicine they make is dangerous to the health and lives of those who will receive it.

I currently work in the QC Chemistry Department.  It is a discriminatory, nepotistic, hostile, and toxic work environment.  Management is not concerned with the job being completed properly.  They are only concerned with looking good.  Many other staff have quit or left to pursue other careers because of management's attitude and unwillingness to admit when they are wrong, about many things, which is often.  Being well-trained and adept at your job does not mean you will be promoted.  You will be promoted because your fiance owns a golf course, you're dating a senator's niece, or the QC Lab Manager has an unhealthy infatuation with you that you don't discourage.  Also, the QC Lab Manager will not assist or give you any help whatsoever unless you happen to be doing the exact thing they wanted but they will never disclose.

HR is unwilling to get involved in maintaining any kind of order or protecting employees from this kind of behavior.  Despite people having made multiple trips to HR concerning this, no changes ever occurred.  When complaints are made, as in one case, they simply moved the affected employee from one area to another but never followed up the QC Lab Manager.

The culture is toxic and I DO NOT recommend anyone attempt to find employment here in any department just from what I have seen of the QC Chemistry Department.

The money is good, but the culture and benefits are completely unprofessional and borderline useless.  My daily duties were nearly unmanageable as there was little, if any support, from my original supervisor.  Priorities were constantly shifted and there seemed to be little if any communication between sales, quality assurance, and production management and personnel.  And equipment was constantly in short-supply.  As long as a person was "in good" with the obviously unqualified middle and upper management "appointees", that was the ONLY way one was capable of advancing in any way, shape, or form.  And there is constant turnover within the rank-and-file due to this.

The benefits appear to be chosen on the basis of the cheapest option.  I had constant issues with prescription costs, prior authorizations, and the application of deductibles and payment amounts.  And this occurred with two separate insurance companies chosen by Nephron.

All-in-all, I would not recommend working here.  The greatest lesson I have learned during my time here is how NOT to run a business and now NOT to treat employees.    

I worked at Nephron for a long while and was very worried about loosing my job everyday. I had started in one position and had worked my way around the company in different divisions. Thinking my knowledge of the Company would make me secure in a way. I thought wrong. NO JOB SECURITY WHATSOEVER! People are fired everyday over Management Power Trips. People are never treated with respect no matter where you are in the Company or what title you may have. (It is definitely not what you know, it is who you know at Nephron.) This place is High School all the way around. Adults that act like children are in roles that they shouldn't have with absolutely no background in the position at all. They will also have you go through "on the job training" to ensure you can write in the Batch Records for their products.Then will threaten you if you mark something wrong or write incorrectly to their standards. This will end with a write up or termination. Seem's great right? Doesn't stop there. Be prepared to act like Hitler is walking through the building when the owners are passing by. They have no issue embarrassing you in front of a tour or other staff. They pride themselves on acting like they're better in every aspect. 

If you want a quick job to have as a stepping stone this could be it because you wont be at Nephron long.

Where to start. You can get fired over rumors but if you get caught on camera not following SOP or breaking the sterility of the product or room, they will sweep it under the rug, if your the white kind of person. If you have kids and a family be prepared to never see them. The employees are over worked and under appreciated which create work place aggression. Very hostile when your actually good and do know your SOPs. HR is a joke can’t go them about anything cause they will threaten to fire you. Bugs have been found in the clean rooms& supplies along with clumps of hair. Management aren’t trained or know what goes on and are also subject to consequences because they haven’t been properly trained. Everybody walks on eggshells not knowing if it’s going to be their last day. People throw other people under the bus all for the sake of elavating their position. When you sign your M-F or whatever schedule they don’t tell you about the mandatory weekends you have to work and if you don’t work it that day will count against you. They do as much as they can to hide things from the owner. Long story short you know it’s a mess of a company when upper mangement keeps quitting no matter how many times they fill the position. Your lucky if you can miraculously make it a year

Upper management needs to grow up! Management team consisted of former high school prom king and queen wanna-bees who grew up to be classless, unattractive twats who are now regretting their sloppy binge-eating habits because now they can't get anywhere in life looking like slobs.

The only "pro" would be a salary, but even then it's not like they pay well in the first place. This was the lowest paying salary I received throughout my entire life, and I'm in my 30s!

Literally EVERYTHING!!! I don't know where to even begin, but one thing is for sure, upper management needs to be ALL replaced because they are 1) not qualified for their job titles, 2) incompetent in carrying out their roles, 3) clueless in knowing how to properly manage anything, let alone their diets, 4) selfish cowards who hide behind team members. There is no work-life balance here. They expect you to stay hours past your time during every shift while they get to happily leave on time. There were nights where I had to stay past 2AM, even though my shift was suppose to have ended at 10:30PM. All the employees who actually perform physical work (those whom weren't sitting behind a desk) are unhappy and miserable. I absolutely do not recommend working here. They are an "At-will" employer, so they WILL find any reason to get rid of you.
