The hardest part of the job was working the night shift...it took a toll on my health after 16 yrs.I had no problems with the office personnel,as they were always very helpful.I enjoyed giving report to my co workers at end of my shift.The most enjoyable part of my job was the feeling of Accomplishment. Being a part of a very Big accomplishment...making sick babies grow into strong children.I learned that working in home care the families had different ideas or the kind of nurse they liked.You were the most wonderful nurse to one client, while another client would ask for you not to return..A typical night at work was doing my assessments, checking the ventilator settings,  trach,and vent. care. Doing the routine care,writting notes,.giving meds, and the best part was holding and rocking the babies back to sleep.That was the BONUS or most enjoyable times at work.

A typical day at Newborn Nurses involves providing in-home care and support to newborns and their families, ensuring both medical and emotional needs are met. Each day presents opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families during a critical time. I’ve learned a great deal about neonatal care, family-centered support, and how to work independently while maintaining high clinical standards. Management is supportive and communicative, offering guidance while allowing autonomy. The workplace culture values compassion, trust, and professionalism. The hardest part of the job can be adapting to different home environments and schedules, but the deep appreciation from families makes it all worthwhile. The most enjoyable part is building strong bonds with families and witnessing the positive impact of your care firsthand.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They have good customer service&takes very good care of the clients&employees.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is no stress because they made sure the employees had everything we needed to get our job done for our clients.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I loved the work environment and the culture at Newborn Nurses because it was all kinds of races&culture working together for the same cause,which is to always help all our clients&employees the very best we can all the time.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would come early to the main office before I start my client cases to pick up my time sheets&work supplies such as gloves&etc for my clients to start the day to the week& weekends&etc

My best job I’ve ever had was with NBN. I moved on to bedside nursing in order to follow a specific career path and I miss this job terribly. As a new nurse, I was taught as much as I needed in order to care for the patients in their homes. If I ever needed ANYTHING, there were multiple people that I could call. If I was unsure of a medical decision, again.. multiple people I could call. I had the greatest support system between management and co-workers. I had all the tools I needed to be successful in this position. We cared for our patients in the best way we knew how. It’s key to have good nurses, that’s what makes a company like this so great. There are always things everybody and every company can work on, but NBN does an outstanding job and are making every effort to be the champions of caring.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Newborn Nurses of New Jersey I thoroughly enjoyed working for everyone is both professional and friendly,  just all around excellent company to be employed with.

There were no stressful moments working with Newborn Nurses.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and accommodating 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We were busy off and on usually  work day for a nurse.

I love working here. They are flexible and willing to tend to your needs and the families. You pick the cases through an online secure messaging system. Information is private and encrypted. You do not feel pressured by phone calls from other staffing coordinators. These coordinators will only call you if they really need your help and they want to reach you faster. The staff are there to help and they love to help! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff and team is really welcoming, friendly and accommodating. It was great to be apart of such a great company! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Hours weren’t as flexible as I needed unfortunately 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
100! Loved the team and positive atmosphere

If you get lucky and get a family who is willing to help, then you'll learn and get used to things fast. Theres no adequate training and it feels like they throw you in a lions cage (if you're a new nurse) so you either sink or swim. No opportunity for growth here.

When I worked in New Born nurses, I had a full-time job and when I needed extra money I had a set schedule for a part-time here, making it flexible for my other job. This place was very professional and helpful.

It usually starts with morning task collaboration with colleagues, ive gained valuable skills including [technical skills, soft skills, industry knowledge] the management team is very supportive hardest part of the job? meeting tight deadlines handling difficult clients. the enjoyable part of this job ofcourse working with great team,learn new things
