Nextus Billing Solutions

I am posting this review as a former employee with multiple years of experience at the company and broad exposure to its operations and leadership.

Earlier in my tenure, the organization demonstrated momentum, flexibility, and a culture that emphasized employee trust. Over time, following leadership and operational changes, that culture shifted significantly. Benefits and flexibility were reduced year over year, and increased oversight did not translate into improved efficiency or clarity.

While paid time off technically existed, it was often difficult to use in practice due to frequent operational constraints or last-minute pushback. Workload expectations continued to increase, especially following repeated workforce reductions over consecutive periods, which created instability and placed additional strain on remaining teams.

Management accountability was a persistent issue. Problems were often passed between leaders rather than addressed directly, leading to confusion and inefficiency. Advancement and support frequently appeared tied to internal relationships rather than performance or experience, creating perceptions of favoritism and limiting growth opportunities.

Professional boundaries were also a concern. Leadership-led religious activities, including organized prayer gatherings, were present in the workplace. While participation may have been described as voluntary, their presence made some employees uncomfortable and detracted from a professional, inclusive environment.

My employment ended after I raised concerns related to operations and long-term sustainability. While I will not speculate on intent, the experience left me with the impression that critical or dissenting perspectives were not well received.

Overall, the lack of consistency, accountability, and professionalism made this a difficult environment to sustain long term. I would not recommend this workplace to those seeking stability, transparency, or merit-based growth.

What was once a strong organization with motivated, hard-working employees gradually declined into a difficult and unhealthy work environment. Over time, poor decision-making at the executive level had a noticeable impact on morale, operations, and employee retention. As these issues compounded, many capable and committed employees chose to leave the organization.


A recurring concern was favoritism in hiring and promotion decisions. Several leadership roles were filled by individuals who lacked relevant industry experience, which created operational challenges and frustration among experienced employees. This dynamic contributed to a culture where performance and expertise did not always appear to be the primary factors for advancement.


Executive leadership frequently spoke about improvement and organizational change, but these efforts rarely translated into consistent or lasting action. As a result, long-standing issues were not effectively addressed and continued to worsen over time.


There were also concerns around transparency, particularly regarding internal processes and external communications. This contributed to a broader erosion of trust within the organization and made it difficult for employees to feel confident in leadership’s direction.

Despite these challenges, I gained valuable experience during my time here and worked with many talented professionals. Unfortunately, many of those individuals have since left due to the ongoing issues described above. The organization’s current struggles appear closely tied to unresolved leadership and cultural problems.

I’ve had a wonderful experience working at Nextus Billing Solutions. It’s a great place to learn and advance your career. The company truly values honesty and transparency, which fosters a supportive and collaborative environment.
The opportunities for professional growth are abundant, and I’ve been encouraged to take on new challenges that have helped me develop my skills. The leadership genuinely cares about employee development, making it easy to envision a long-term career here.
Another major benefit is the flexibility the company offers. It allows me to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still being engaged and productive in my role.

Nextus is truly a great place to work. The company is rapidly growing, which has allowed for a lot of job promotions within the company. I've personally been promoted three times in two years, and I love the job and department I'm in now.

I've worked for a few companies similar to Nextus, and WOW is Nextus is different - in a good way! The company actually values honesty, integrity, and transparency. The management team not only values hard work, but they reward it, and they actually care about you as an individual. Nextus recognizes that we are people with lives and families outside of the workplace, so they try to create a work-life balance for employees (i.e. hybrid/remote work, flex schedules, alternating shift times, etc.) 

First  job I left without giving 2 weeks notice. Resigned effective immediately and left like I was never there. Not a good place to work. Imagine your boss giving you 75 things to do and giving your coworker 100 things to do. Then they will give you trouble and insult you because you only did 75 things while your coworker did 100. I was really excited to work here after the interview and onboarding process. They sold themselves as some progressive type company when they were not. Performance reviews were not constructive at all- it was an all criticisms from management. At my 90 day review my supervisor said “knowing what I know now, I would not have hired you nor would I fight for you to stay.” They make an opinion of you almost immediately and you can’t change it. They threaten your job at every turn and the whole experience is toxic. 

I had a highly disappointing experience with Nextus Billing Solutions. The company's professionalism is severely lacking, and it quickly became apparent that favoritism plays a significant role in their culture. Hardworking and dedicated employees often go unrecognized, while a select few seem to receive preferential treatment, regardless of their effort or output.

The work ethic of team members is not respected, and those who go above and beyond in their roles don't receive the acknowledgment they deserve. If you're looking for a workplace that values fairness and professional growth, you may want to look elsewhere.

Working at Nextus has been great! I have seen tremendous growth in company over the years. As with any growing business, Nextus has seen it's fair shares of challenges. The leadership team continues to make necessary changes to address an ever changing landscape within our industry. Nextus looks a lot different from where it started to now, but I believe, the changes have made were much needed for the continued growth and success of the company. I continue to enjoy working at Nextus, largely due to the camaraderie with my co-workers and great team working environment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I kept my head down worked hard and still never got the recognition that I deserved.  So I'd say that the best part of working at Nextus was that I learned to trust my gut instincts more. I should have left way sooner.

NEPOTISM,  FAVORITISM,  CLIQUES

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
If you are one of " the guys" I'm sure it's great. Although I think even those people are still probably underpaid.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work extremely hard, zero recognition,  make at minimum 10k less than you should be making.

I found Nextus to be one of the better places I've ever worked in. The expectations were made clear from the beginning and they supported me throughout my training to ensure I was getting it. Theres even lots of digital performance platforms where I can refer back to check my work. My work was always in line with what they put on the job post. I was so grateful for a place that recognized my experience with a fair pay rate and showed me what I could stand to make if I kept learning and growing there. Nextus is now the standard I use to compare any other job to.

Your workload doesn't match your pay. Pay is very cheaply distributed. Management doesn't have a clue what they're doing but yet they wonder why the same problems continue. Promotions are given based on feelings rather than performance. Team Lead & Manager positions are filled with people who have no business being in them. Some people are a little 'too friendly' here as well. If you DON'T want to be overworked & underpaid, this place is not for you. Not worth your mental health. Toxic is a word that definitely fits this place.
